WARNING

After checking numerous sites for a hobby horse, we finally came across Equisafety. The hobby horse which is out of stock everywhere, showed they had just 1 in stock on Equisafety, so I paid and ordered it, then it went downhill from there.

No tracking number has been provided, even though I paid for next day delivery.

Emails were ignored so after 3 weeks, messaged them on Facebook and whoever wrote was very arrogant, rude, and accused me of ordering when it said out of stock - This is incorrect or I wouldn't of bought it as it's an xmas present!

I was told it would be sent a day later when they responded via messenger, 5 days later still not arrived, messaged them again and struggling to get a reply. guessing it's Nicky Fletcher.

Have over 10M video views on social media, heavily involved in this field in the UK and if this isn't rectified, I will be posting about this company including emails sent which have been ignored, as well as reporting them.

They have caused stress and anxiety, not knowing what is happening and if they do speak to you, good luck, they are rude as hell.

Wish I read these reviews before ordering.

Edit: Yes I did say I would come down to the office, I was being ignored. Wanting to know what the heck is going on, where is my item for my daughter or my money?? Is this physical abuse? Playing the victim, pathetic. You’ve scammed hundreds.

2nd edit: they reported my review for harmful content so I appealed and it’s back online, because it’s the truth. They even opened a Facebook competition for fake 5 star reviews to try bury the reviews. All Nicky does is lie lie lie and post fake timescales and fake updates. Funny how I got the horse next day delivery before I posted this review from a 3rd party isn’t it. You have been warned.

This gentleman threaten physical abuse to the Director, stating he would come to the office. We reported him to the Police and included photos of him with tattoos all over his face.
Le Mieux let the trade down badly on these Hobby Horses over Christmas. 5 times Equisafety was given delivery dates (they only arrived yesterday 15/02/2024) so every time this happened, we had to let our customer know. It was December and we were getting a lot of abuse, even though it was not our fault. We could only go off what Le Mieux had told us. This gentleman went to far and we immediately refunded him.

2 months after my initial review it has recently been reported to be harmful or illegal by the seller but following assessment it meets the guidelines and has been put back on by Trustpilot. I am aware that there is a competition on their Facebook page with the chance to win a prize if you leave a review so can only assume negative reviews are being falsely reported to try to remove them. Not a great way to go about business!

In response to Nicky’s comment about postage, I ordered them at the beginning of November not December, this was way before any Christmas delays and I’m sure that if you have insurance you can claim the money back. As a customer it isn’t my fault that the item was ‘lost’ at the same post office you use regularly.

AVOID!! I only gave 1 star as I did initially get a response from Nicky. I ordered a pair of Le Mieux stirrups on the 9th Nov, I received a tracking number on the 13th Nov - tracked 48. Waited….and waited but after a week they didn’t arrive. Contacted the seller who assured me they were sent out so I waited a week again. I spoke to my local postie and then the sorting office but the tracking number had not been scanned into the postal system. After a few more emails I raised a dispute with PayPal and notified Nicky that they would be in touch. Today I received a full refund and have not heard a peep from the seller. Luckily I used PayPal and was able to be refunded. Either they were sent and lost at her local post office within minutes of getting the tracking number or I was given a false tracking number! Will never use this place again.

We sent the stirrups with the correct tracking number, unfortunately in December the Royal Mail is very busy and sometimes things dont get delivered. We saw that the customer raised a dispute though Paypal, so immediately refund her. Royal Mail lost a £160 pair of stirrups sale for us and they are refusing to reimburse us because the tracking number had not been scanned by the Wirral Post Office hub. Its a shame the customer felt the need to give a 1* review when we did nothing wrong.

Terrible company do not use

I bought a very expensive hat from this company, (£300+) they sent the wrong hat, wrong size, wrong colour and didn’t even have a liner in it… I then returned the incorrect hat and have never received a refund or the hat I ordered. I am calling daily but none answers the phone, I have emailed numerous times and no reply. Absolutely disgusting was to conduct business:

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Terrible customer service from Equisafety at Your horse live.
I tried to return a coat (bought unknowingly in the sale) and I was never told by the staff that it was a sale item and non returnable. The attitude from Nicky the owner was less than acceptable, passive aggressive and cost her another sale. After speaking to the organisers she then decided to make signage more clear on her stand - essentially admitting fault. Still no refund, and definitely won’t be using this business again. AVOID!

This gentleman bought a coat from the Equisafety SALE trade stand. We have 2 trade stands at the show. The SALE trade stand has a 6 meter length by 1 meter deep banner going across the full length of the stand clearly stating that this trade stand only sells Samples, 2nds and End of Line and we do not offer refunds. You cant miss it as its bright red.

He complained to the organisers, who came onto the SALE stand, saw that it was clearly marketed and left. The gentleman is not telling the truth when he states that we put up signage, how could we do this in the middle of show?
After that, he kept walking past the stand shouting abuse at the staff.

OMG where do I start Equisafety a joke

OMG where do I start. 2009 bought the horse size hi viz rug which I had bought before for my 16 hh horse. No issue. So 2021 bought a new horse size as it was padded. Gosh it is so much smaller than it was and now fits the 15.hh horse they would not return it as tried on over a summer sheet. their XL horse rug would have fitted 19 hh horse not my 16.1hh.

Recently I bought a new hi viz coat as mine a bit tight on the chest, its a XL. Bought the XXL and .......... its smaller than the XL.

come on XXL should be xxl not medium. Were told they changed their sizes. How the F can a XXL be made smaller than a XL.. complete joke will never buy from them again. what a waste on £ 114 which in itself is an extraordinary price.

Ridiculous when a rug first fits my late 16.hh then the new same horse size fits 15.1hh and too small for 16.1hh and they still call it horse size. The next size up was too big for 16.1hh as the rug belt was so far back it caused my mare to bronk on road as acted like a bucking strap, sizes should not change by a full hand horse. One time fits 16hh then the new version only fits 15.1hh.

BULLSHIT. I take the XL normally which is size 18 and the new XXL was2-3 sizes smaller, I have pictures to prove it.
as for the jacket I take xl and the old jacket was only sightly too small but the new jackets are about 4 sizes to small. Large ladies do not want tailored jackets due to the frame size/ or overweight. Many feedback saying this are available. Yes you have the sizes small pony pony cob and large and x large neither the large or the x lar fits a 16.1hh.

rug is now poor in shape and sizing and I don't recommend buying anything form this company who can change things as dramatically as this. We tried to buy the same rug to replace the worn out one, only to find it inferior in size and shape, would have given a 0 star if i could. Could not return as company said i tried it on. duh of course i had to but over a clean summer sheet but that still wasn't good enough. don't buy from.

The horse rug Rachel bought in 2009 was a completely different rug to the 2021 horse rug, 12 years later. We think the customer is talking about the Aspey Jacket, which was larger fitting to the new style of the Inverno Jacket, which was more tailored. Both rug and jacket were completely different designs. We do have the sizes clearly shown on the website and the packaging.
We always swop sixes if they are not quite right, because ever horse and rider are different to the next.
The XXL Inverno jacket is a size 18. Our Medium Jacket is a size 12

They lie about hi viz being used as an excuse in court to blame riders who are hit by cars. This is totally untrue
If they lie this easily in adverts, you have to wonder what else they lie about.
Equally good stuff is available elsewhere for less money anyway.
Edit : over a year later they've replied to my review and aren't making any sense. I'm in no way blaming riders for wearing hi viz. I'm pointing out this company has claimed riders can be blamed for car accidents if not wearing hi viz. Their claim is untrue. Riders aren't blamed for car accidents because they aren't wearing this company's products.

Horse Hi Viz Exercise Sheet

I recently needed to purchase a chest strap for my horse's hi viz exercise sheet. On the Equisafety website I couldn't find what I wanted and I phoned them explaining what I needed. They managed to find one in the warehouse that is a perfect fit and it was dispatched the same day. Great customer service and I would definitely recommend and use again.

Excellence all round.

As a larger lady I wanted to confirm the waitcoat would fit me before I ordered as nothing worse than keep sending things back so I called the team and was supported by Lorraine, She was excellent she listened to my concerns then supported me though my order giving great advice on sizing for me and my horse and also explained the difference of colour visibility in different seasons. The delivery arrived in very quick time and was packaged very well. I was very pleased with my waistcoat in red/orange and my waterproof rug in the same colour (my trainer says we can be seen from space, I think this is a good sign). The rug had a missing part so I messaged to make them aware and Nicky the MD said no worries they would sort and within 2 days I had part delivered, this again reflected excellent customer service. I have since my order jumped ahead of the game and ordered my summer collection which arrived very quick and again to an excellent standard. Thank you equisafety for supporting me and valuing me as your customer. Lorraine your amazing and would love to ride that disused railway we spoke about and Nicky thank you for all your support, just one other thing I want to point out, myself and my horse are larger girls I'm wearing a xxl waistcoat for a 48ins over bust measurement and my horse is wearing the XFull rug she standardly takes 7-7ft3 rug so please larger ladies buy with confidence on the sizing.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, I will never purchase a product from this company again.
Through a supplier I purchased a Polite high viz vest, having only worn it a few times I placed my phone in the vest pocket, to my alarm the phone fell straight to the floor totally shattering the screen. I found that the inner lining of the pocket had come away and was frayed. The stitching on the main zip was also coming away. My supplier contacted Equisafety however received negative replies. I was informed to return the vest for repair as Equisafety had a ‘no waste policy’. Prior to returning the vest I emailed Equisafety on 2 occasions providing photos of the faulty vest and damaged phone, asking them to consider compensation for the £60 it had cost me to have the phone repaired. I received no reply to either email. On returning the vest I included a letter of complaint and asked for a reply. I did receive a replacement vest however no reply or apology to my emails or letter. Very disappointed at lack of response from what I thought was a reputable company...clearly not

We are sorry to hear about the customers phone. We can not take responsibility for a customers phone, as there was no proof that the broken screen was caused by wearing our waistcoat.
The customer wanted Equisafety to pay for the full cost of £650, not £60 for a new screen. We did send another vest free of charge as a way of offer good customer service.

I can't believe top dressage riders are associating themselves with Equisafety.

I wish I had googled Equisafety reviews before buying from them because they are an appalling company, and I am shocked that the UK's top dressage riders are associating themselves with them.

I bought two of their Charlotte Dujardin waist coats from them (which are not cheap) and within two months the stitching had come undone. I contacted the company for an exchange and this was agreed to, but only after they eventually decided to return my email.

35 days later and I still hadn't received an exchange but I did eventually get an email from their MD Nicky saying they won't honour what they had agreed but would offer a repair.

Given the length of time this had taken already, I contested this as I was already pretty fed up, but in the end I agreed reluctantly to a repair.

On receiving the repaired items, I immediately noticed that there was stitching loose and they had not been repaired at all well. I emailed Nicky immediately, and she then accused me of tampering with the products, which was of course not true.

I stuck to my principles and took this further by contacting Citizens Advice and by getting Paypal involved, as I bought the items from them. Within a few days, they had resolved the issue and I had received my full refund.

What an awful company.

Unfortunately Ms Hutton, was not happy with the terms and conditions of the sale that she agreed to when purchasing the jacket. She refused to send back the jacket for inspection and wanted a new jacket sending immediately. She eventually sent the item back. She had ripped the lining, so we repaired it for her and sent it back to her, all free of charge, even though it was not a fault in the jacket. The customer was not happy with the repair and so complained to Paypal. We did not wish to have the jacket back and so refunded her. She now has a jacket she never paid for.

I own several Equisafety products and…

I own several Equisafety products and have recently ordered the quilted Polite gilet. After having issues inputting a discount code I emailed the team who very quickly replied and deducted the discount. The product arrived promptly and is very good quality, as are the other products I own - sturdy and fit for purpose, would highly recommend.

This business is despicable.. STAY away

This business is despicable. They normally sell Horse riding safety clothing. But now the country is in a pandemic they've added Hand sanitizer to their stock list and are selling it at an extortionate price. 100ml for £9.98.

If you question this on social media your comments are immediately deleted. This is clear profiteering, they never sold it until there was demand, this is purely for profit.

They should be shut down!

I don't know how Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, 2 of the top Dressage Riders and members of the British Olympic team are associated with this business.. Its dosent say a lot for their ethics.

*Update 02/08/24 - Got an email today from TrustPilot asking to confirm order details so this company can class my review as real or put in a claim to have it removed - it is clear from the review that i did not complete any order due to their ethics. I reviewed the company based on being a potential customer and my interaction experience with them on Social Media and their subsequent unethical behaviour.

For clarity, they also claim I added a price in my last update in Feb 24 which is a blatant lie, TrustPilot take note - I still have screenshots of the original review and can provide links to posts which are still on Facebook to this day which are of course officially dated on the day of posting (Mach 2020) which clearly shows the review in full and unchanged i did not add a price in Feb 2024, it has been there from the start. This is just further proof this company isn't exactly truthful with their replies to reviews.

Further to this, it seems this company are unsuccessfully trying to run a cleanup campaign to bury or remove negative reviews by trying different avenues to have them removed this year by ways of entering in to a competition in return for 5 star reviews on here (yes, this is against Trustpilot's legal terms but they done it regardless) or by other means such as the one i am posting about today. Well if that's how you want to play it, you are trying it with the wrong reviewer. I have all the proof i need to confidently post a review of your companies unethical practices, it doesn't have to be because you ripped me off financially, interaction as a potential customer also warrants a review based on experience.

Equisafety helped 5 NHS hospitals in the pandemic and hundreds of members of the public with certified hand sanitiser, when no one else could. Would Mr Ryder have preferred we not supply correct PPE, when even the Government was struggling? We were proud to assist and proud we made such a difference in people lives for the better. We are sorry that Mr Ryder felt the need to give us a bad review for helping people.
Mr Ryder has just changed his review and added a price that is not real. We have no idea why Mr Ryder has such an issue with a reputable company that helped thousands of people in the pandemic.

Outstanding!

I bought a riding gillet for my daughter from this company and we love it! Very good quality and a lovely item. It arrived super quick and the communication from the company was outstanding!
Highly recommended and will definitely use again - thank you Equisafety!

I bought a jacket directly from them…

I bought a jacket directly from them worth £80 2 months later after wearing it a handful of times the mesh in the inside of the jacket was ripped from just putting my phone in.
After wanting a refund they send me an replacement jacket but never refunded my postage.
Another 2 months this jacket was faulty as well. I contacted them numerous timea had to chase up as i wanted a refund.
Basically got told i wont get a refund and my arms are too short for the jacket and i should wash it with waterproof shampoo (the mesh slipped down on the arms and was getting soak when it was raining)
Weirdly mesh is not waterproof.
I would not recomment buying from them. The customer service is shocking and the products are oberpriced and won't last.
And if there is a problem they won't help and hard to contact.

We were sent the faulty jacket back and it was in a very poor state and filthy. It had clearly not been looked after, but we sent another jacket as a matter of good customer service. We did not say the customers arms where to short, we said that we designed the jacket to have longer arms because you need extra length when riding. The customer was happy with this and accepted the 2nd jacket.

Great stuff

Great stuff, if a little pricey. Very quick dispatch.
Boots are excellent, no spinning, falling off Etc even when worn in extremely wet muddy conditions. Tabbard still going strong after 4 years!

The worst staff member ever. Aggressive rude and not very smart

I purchased a hi viz vest for a client of mine via their online system and phoned at 10am a few days later simply to enquire about the delivery schedule, this way I could manage my clients expectations. I had the misfortune of having to speak with an incredibly rude lady who scolded me for ordering on someone else's behalf. I was told that she was too busy to help me but would call me when she made time at ,Some Point. By 4pm when I had not received a call I called back and was again me with aggression. I was told that they were too busy to deal with my queries and that they were doing me a favour in selling me goods. I was called a muppet and told to grow up when I insisted on some simple time scale. Luckily I had paid via pay pal and so simply cancelled the payment. Be warned 1 star is too good. The company may be good but with employees like this, they stand no chance for 2015

Det er nu flere uger siden jeg har bestilt refleksveste m.m. på equisafetys hjemmeside. Umiddelbart efter bestilling henvender jeg mig til kundeservice, og får et meget surt svar. Så jeg meddeler at jeg gerne vil annulere ordren. Ingen respons. Derimod bliver pengene trukket på min konto med det samme, og kunde service er ikke til at komme i kontakt med. Jeg har forsøgt at emaile til dem et utal af gange. ingen svar, og varererne er ikke sendt afsted.

Jeg kan kun anbefale at man IKKE handler her. Jeg har handlet på nettet et utal af gange, men aldrig oplevet så dårlig kundeservice. Så lad dig ikke snyde, som jeg, af en umiddelbart fin hjemmeside. Firmaet virker til at være fup.
