Items brought, nothing received after 5 months

My partner brought several items in August 2025 but like many people commenting here hasn't received the items and is now being ignored by customer service. It seems like fraud to take money, say you have no stock so not full the order but then proceed to have black Friday sales?

Absolutely terrible service. Lack moral fiber. It took more than three weeks to get the order sent to me. During this time I was in contact with support and found myself caught up in a web of lies and deceit. They avoided my questions, gave me vague answers hiding behind contractual jargon. I was paying 20 gbp every month for one of their memberships and when they could not fulfill my order, they said they can't give me the money back. They can only give me store credit of the same value. Wasn't happy with that as I didn't want to buy from them after the appalling experience. They said they had problems with fulfilling the order and are out of stock for that summer cream I wanted but on the website it showed in stock. So other customers would buy and end up in the same situation as me: having paid for a product which won't be delivered and no refund possible. I found that unfair to customers. I told them I would engage Citizens Advice and they will be reported to Trading Standards. It appears in the mean time they entered liquidation with over 1 million gbp debt to various creditors and HMRC. So be careful ordering from them from now on. They managed to deliver the products in the end and after this whole palarva, they offered me a discount code which didn't work. Shame on you Ava Estell!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Customer service is shocking. Parcel wasnt delivered. Gave them a new address and they sent it to the wrong place. I placed the order six weeks ago and they’ve yaken 52 and a further 20 for subscription I don’t sign up for. Will be reporting to ombudsman.

Positive note; I have loved their products, the delivery use to be quick but the products are amazing. I’d ordered a month ago and still haven’t received my order never got a response other than the automated generic message we are experiencing more orders being placed blah blah blah smh

This company are a bunch of SCAMMERS!!

This company are a bunch of scammers. I made a purchase over a year ago and decided to re-purchase recently, only to find that the company had been taking £20 a month from my bank account without my knowledge, when I contacted them they informed me that my money had been turned into credits and therefore I was not entitled to a refund. Do not under any circumstances purchase from this company if I could have given zero I would . I only just found out that they had gone into liquidation in June 25 and that they had continued to take money from my account up till September 25 beware.😡

Let me say firstly..that I've always loved AE. There's been the odd hiccup or two,but no big deal. They're ALWAYS quick to reply when there's an issue,from my personal experience. I still appreciate that.

But this is the first time, I've had an real issue with AE..They charged me for membership I've cancelled a month ago. I already know to come with receipts, so that I can prove that this was a mistake on their end. I sent screenshots, of my banking stuff to show the transaction. I even forwarded one of THEIR OWN emails they sent to me, a month ago showing the confirmation and them saying they're sad to see me go. Although I sent all of that, they keep saying there's no proof of any transaction with my email address.

They're either blind or lying, and I don't appreciate it. I wanted to give AE a chance to rectify it before having to do so with my bank. AE told me to just go on and do it with my bank. That's dirty work, and I hate it came to this. Why lie, when the truth would just as easily do? It's gaslighting.

I'm trying to understand,why they'd even do that. This is normally not their type of thing. 🤷‍♀️ It's a deal breaker for me though.

Ava Estell has gone into liquidation

After two years of buying several products from Ava Estell, I loved the thought of supporting a Black-owned company that focused on Black skin and hair care issues. I was excited to try their products and waited patiently while they resolved outstanding issues when they were EssieCare.
Although not all of their products improved my skin as expected, I continued to order the ones that I enjoyed and positively praised them amongst my friends and family who in turn have tried their products. I joined their membership subscription, and what a mistake that was.
After seeing a barrage of advertisements on Facebook, I went to order more products with funds I had accumulated from the subscription. However, the comments under their advertisements were not positive regarding products being out of stock for long periods of time, not arriving on time or when they do arrive they are damaged or smells expired and a lack of communication from Ava Estell.
I searched Ava Estell online and it came to light that they had gone into liquidation in June 2025. Despite this, they were still taking payments from my account until I cancelled my subscription. This business has now ended, yet Yaw has continued to advertise Black Friday deals. He also made a reel on Instagram under Ava Brands on how he improved the profit of his business via subscription membership and offering some kind of seminar to help other businesses do the same. This man has also requested via The Gazette a notice to set up a new business using a similar name and selling similar products, which only shows why he has not notified any of his current customers that Ava Estell has been liquidated and why he continues to take unlawful payments from his innocent customers.
Now, this company has never been perfect: paying for 'order protect' but your order isn't protected, or paying for next-day delivery for your order to arrive days or weeks later.
I gave the benefit of the doubt as I wanted to support Yaw, but this is the second time his business has failed, this time at the detriment of the Black community. At this point, I am disappointed in this man's lack of honesty. Turning off comments on his Facebook advertisements and his fake "we are doing well" Instagram posts is misleading and immoral.
I cannot stress how disappointed I am with Ava Estell.

So disappointing

So disappointing! First time ordering, waited for over a month, did not receive anything. There are all the encouraging videos online to entice you, I was so hopeful. Be careful when ordering as I was signed up to a monthly £20 membership fee (apparently this goes towards store credit) and also a £2.95 order protect fee. You are automatically opted in and you will have to opt out. Now, the Ava+ membership I did not even notice when ordering and I can see why, the price is all in bold and its the first thing you see so I didn't notice there was a regular price option below, furthermore how are you suppose to know what Ava+ even is when you know nothing about the brand and its your first time buying. But the order protect I did see and that one I pressed the toggle off because why should I pay extra for my order to arrive, isn't that whats supposed to happen. I’ve never come across this before, but anyway, somehow I was still charged, lol this should have been the alarm bells. More fool me, but you know I was just too hopeful and happy to support A company. What I will say positive though is I did correspond with customer support through email a couple of times with my complaints, response was quick, polite and professional. On my request I was refunded the order protect, membership was cancelled and then when I’d had enough of waiting my order was cancelled and refunded. What bothers me now is knowing I wouldn’t receive a purchase in a timely manner - if at all - yet I’m seeing more and more advertising to purchase from this company, especially for Black Friday. I wouldn't like to believe this is a scam, maybe they are having issues with processing and shipping, but either way I feel that it is wrong.

i think i've just been scammed

i think i've just been scammed. i've ordered from them before but this time they're ignoring my messages and emails and they don't have a number to call so basically they're able to ignore you completely if they want. i'm surprised because they have good products but you can't take peoples money and then say it's been delivered when it hasn't been? who even does that? i even bought the protection package with them which is supposed to protect my delivery but it basically does nothing because i still don't have it and no one wants to help me

Honestly the products are good, but the customer service is so poor. I can’t believe what they’ve allowed to happen, it’s such ashame two years ago I rated this company 5 stars! Now they’ve just lost all respect, care or regard for their clients and the customer service experience is down the pan. After their site went down I had issues with the vouchers they were utterly non-apologetic and refused fair solutions. I tried to escalate but the ceo sent a brick one sentence email and late just ignored further email responses. Super disappointing, Ava Estell has gone so downhill I don’t think I can stick to being loyal to a brand that simply brush off customer feedback! Particularly as I’ve been a loyal customer for years. Yaw was onto something - and I don’t know what he let slip but they’ve got an awful customer service team

SCAMMERS AND DIRTY LIARS

If I could give -0 stars I would! I made a purchase since the 3rd of September and still no delivery. Everytime you message them, they give a flimsy excuse of tracking the order. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM, THEY COSPLAY AS A SMALL BLACK BUSINESS BUT THEY’RE JUST THEIVES!! God will reward you

Needing a refund for my store credit as I won’t be buying anymore.

Needing a refund for my store credit of £20.
The product didn’t work for me.
At first, I believed in it and didn’t want to give up too easily even with no improvements.
However, when I use it, I’m itchy all over my chin and neck area and hyperpigmentation has increased too much. So, it’s rather worsened my situation.

Company in liquidation

I ordered two products on 16th October and as of 28th October I have not received my package. I sent two emails to their customer support team. No reply. Therefore I decided to do a little company digging . The business went into voluntary liquidation on 20 June 2025 therefore it is unlikely that I or others who have ordered products will receive them. It is extremely disappointing because they were quick to take my money

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Ava Estell destroyed my skin barrier and caused me to break out in every possible corner of my face. This really destroyed my confidence and I spent hundreds of pounds and almost a year of feeling uncomfortable with my face before I could repair the damage. Until this day, my skin hasn’t been completely the same since.

Very Terrible

Terrible service. No communication or shipping since payment, no cancellation nor refund. Entitlement mentality to customer's money. Avoid at all cost. I would never recommend.

Dreadful Service.

I ordered a Summer Body Cream on September 13th. After two weeks a sent an email enquiring about delivery. I did get a response asking for my phone details, which I sent. That was the last I heard from them. Four emails and one messenger message later still no response or cream. Broke my golden rule and did not purchase through PayPal.

Terrible Customer Service

These people will take your money.

I placed an order, and after a month of it not shipping I reached out and they said they were out of inventory and were sorry.

HUH?!

Since then customer service has been 0 help. I can't get a refund and I'm still waiting. I am so dissapointed.

I recently placed an order with Ava Estell on September 1, 2025, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. Despite reaching out to their customer service twice through their website, I have yet to receive my order. When I checked the status, it indicated that my order had been fulfilled, yet I still have no tracking number or any further communication from them.

It's truly disheartening because I believe this product is exceptional and one of the best on the market. However, the lack of response from Ava Estell is unacceptable. As a member, I expected better customer service, but I’ve been left in the dark. I even decided to cancel my membership, despite having a balance on my account, because I felt there was no point in continuing with a company that doesn't value its customers.

This whole experience has been very frustrating, and I sincerely hope they improve their communication and customer support in the future.

This company shipping times take a…

This company shipping times take a month or longer. My order made almost a month ago has not arrived. Let’s talk about the billing issue. They scan you into some type of terms and conditions when you simply make a purchase. You are automatically enrolled in a 29.99 a month fee. If you check Ava +. Yes +. They automatically enroll you. When you question it or request a refund. They deny it and give you credit to the company pocket. Mind you the shipping sucks. No one should have to pay 29.99 for something that’s not beneficial to them. Something not right with Ava Estell

I have the screen shoots where I’ve cancelled my subscription multiple times and automatically it’s undone and they continued billing me for several months. Do not sign up for a subscription.
