I bought a portable charger with a fitted 32A plug. The whole assembly was rated at IP66 but the plug was only IP44. The cost of an IP67 plug is not much more. The manufacturers refused to accept the fact that they had compromised their IP rating by fitting the wrong plug. I even had an unqualified person suggesting that if I replaced the plug myself, it would invalidate the guarantee. How ridiculous! There are other manufacturers of similar equipment who have no objection to the plug being changed for one of higher rating.

The charger kept showing faults in my BMW on and off over a couple of years. Everytime I swapped to an alternative charger, it fixed the problem, so don't ever use the wall charger anymore

I’ve had my Rolec home charger for just over 4 years. Its generally ok, it does occasionally go offline which requires a hard reset. Its not a huge problem as it still charges but any scheduling goes out the window. The unit is well made and robust and has hardwired rather than software earthing which I believe is an important safety feature, electronics can fail. The app is easy to use and feature rich, the only issue I have is with updating to a new car, there is no way to delete and replace and the on line help was poor. This is an old charger so am confident new models will be more stable. I would however check both vehicle and supplier compatibility, I was unable to opt for a competitive EV tarrif as my car/charger combo was not supported.

Because the charging unit needs to be fitted at the end of a 50metre garden the cable expense is too great so currently charging the car with a 3 pin plug (granny charger).

My loyal home charger went down after 8yrs hard work. My electrician diagnosed a malfunctioning part in the unit and we located it on this company’s website. I was worried it wouldn’t work- but my electricians great and reassured me it would. Well it did! Saved me buying an entire new unit. Arrived next day. Clipped straight in. This is a brilliant company keeping us all in full working order! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Poor quality product and sales fails to offer a solution. £10 off my next purchase having spent £110 on the first dodgy cable, are you kidding. So spend £220 IE buy two, one doesnt work after two years, but trust the next one will. Effectively £210 for one short EV cable. If I could only have an emoji showing me walking away shaking my head. Lesson duly learnt, hence me sharing.

they refused to refund me when i returned a charger which did not work. better to buy elsewhere

Absolute waste of time ordered a product guaranteed delivery....but delivery never happened and now I have spent over two weeks yr6to reach a compromise hade to source part elsewhere....every tactic not to refund me in place still trying to resolve this dispute....will never buy from these again and would highly recommend anyone not to buy here as it's an absolute nightmare trying to resolve the situation....as of now a minus 20 on a scale of 20...sorry but this is how I truly feel.....

I'd like to alert Irish buyers buying from this site. They advertise in Euro, giving the impression they are in EU area. The fact is they ship from UK, and Irish customs will add another 30% into the original cost of your goods. Be aware before you buy, as this company neglects to inform you of any possible extra charges when delivering to EU zone. They really need to warn their buyers, but it's probably in their financial interest to say nothing. Won't but from this misleading company again.
