We’re sorry that our fraud-verification process caused frustration. We would, however, like to clarify an important point for anyone reading this review.
Your order was flagged as high risk by our independent fraud-prevention provider, Wyllo. The request for additional verification, including photo ID, came directly from Wyllo as part of that review. Exo Performance did not request, receive, or retain your identification documents.
When you chose not to complete the verification, we respected your decision and offered an alternative payment method that would not require the same credit-card verification. When you decided not to proceed, the order was cancelled and the card transaction was fully refunded.
We understand that some customers may not be comfortable completing additional verification, and they are always free to decline. At the same time, fraud-prevention measures are necessary for us to protect our customers and our business from unauthorized credit-card transactions.
We regret that we weren’t able to complete your order, but we believe we handled the situation appropriately and made every reasonable effort to accommodate your concerns.

We’re sorry this experience was frustrating, but we feel some important context is missing from this review.
When you first reported the issue, we reviewed the photos and explained that while the removable adjustment knob was damaged and the spring seat had been dislodged during shipping, the strut itself appeared to be functional and installable. Nevertheless, because you were understandably uncomfortable with the condition in which it arrived, we worked with our supplier to arrange a replacement at no charge.
We fully acknowledge that we made a mistake with the replacement shipment: you ordered the left-side shock and we mistakenly shipped the right-side shock. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we accepted responsibility and offered to ship the correct part immediately at our expense, including prepaid return shipping.
However, you subsequently informed us that you decided to install the original strut and keep it on the vehicle rather than replace it. This confirms that the original strut was ultimately installable, as we had explained from the beginning.
We apologize for our mistake in sending the incorrect replacement and for the inconvenience that caused. At the same time, we believe it is important to clarify that we arranged the replacement to accommodate your concerns even though the original strut was ultimately usable and has now been installed.

Good quality parts but no communication.
So far everything I have ordered so far from them has been in good condition and packaged well. Only real problem is the communication with orders. You kind of just order something and eventually after a week or two it will show up at your door. Even the tracking for packages aren’t helpful when you want to know where your thousands of dollars are, and just hoping it will show up one day.

I was having trouble finding parts that…
I was having trouble finding parts that were available for shipping for my BMW M Roadster and needed additional parts as the vehicle was in the shop getting maintenance and needed additional parts. I searched parts suppliers in Canada and Exo Performance came up. I emailed and called them by phone and spoke to Sebastian, the owner. I explained my situation and he was very helpful at sourcing parts quickly and expediting their delivery across the country. I got the parts in 2 business days and prices were very good.
What I appreciated most was the time and effort Seb made to source the parts asap. He was very helpful and knew a lot about my car, which few do, and suggested I also replace the chain guide in the vanos unit while it was being serviced. It isn't often that you feel like a parts supplier really cares about you and your vehicle.
I just purchased another BMW and will definitely use Exo Performance as my parts supplier. My mechanic wasn't aware of them and he is always looking for reliable parts suppliers. If you need parts, advice, suggestions and appreciate good, friendly professional courteous customer service, I highly recommend you give Exo Performance a call. Whether your a repair shop or a shopper for maintenance or performance parts, don't hesitate to trust Seb at Exo Performance. Give them a call. I'm sure you will find them very knowledgeable and quick to get the parts others may not be able to source.

Returned a sealed, unopened product and helped them recover items they accidentally shipped me. Got hit with $720 in undisclosed fees on the refund, including a 3.5% credit card surcharge that's illegal to charge consumers in Quebec under the Consumer Protection Act. None of these fees appear in their published returns policy. Read it carefully before buying.

We understand your frustration with the refund amount and would like to provide some additional context. The product purchased was a warehouse-transfer / special-order item, which is generally non-returnable and non-cancellable once supplier processing has begun. Despite this, we agreed to accept the return as a courtesy exception.
The refund deductions were applied in accordance with our published Returns & Cancellation Policy and reflected non-recoverable supplier restocking, shipping/logistics, customs/brokerage, and payment processing costs associated with this special-order transaction. Contrary to the statement in your review, these categories of fees are specifically disclosed in our published policy.
The additional items that were mistakenly included in your shipment were unrelated to these deductions, and we covered the return shipping costs required to recover those items.
We also offered alternative resolutions, including store credit and the option to have the product returned to you at no additional cost if you preferred to resell it privately. These options were made available in an effort to help maximize your recovery and remain available for discussion.
We appreciate your business and remain willing to work toward a reasonable resolution.
