Have used Fenster 4 times now, for a front door and now almost all the windows in the house. We cannot reccomend highly enough, Nick has always been our point of contact and has made sure everything is excellent every time. The fitters are always fantastic also, this time it was Dave, who on both visits was brilliant, and extremely accommodating whilst working around our 6 month old baby. 5 star without question.

We had to replace every window and door in our house. It comprised nine windows, new composite front door, new uPVC back door and new patio door.

Of the five companies we sent our enquiry to, Adam at Fenster was the ONLY ONE to acknowledge the enquiry and he was the ONLY ONE who took the trouble to pick up the phone and clarify our requirements. Adam delivered the quote exactly as he said he would the following day.

We asked a number of questions about the installation and Adam answered every one thoroughly. He was also the only one to send us a computer visualisation of the finished job which was really helpful.

Ben (the surveyor) visited us as arranged and gave us a lot of help in finalising the design for the composite door and all the obscured glass items.

Polly at Head Office arranged the installation dates and the team turned up exactly as arranged. The installers, Andrew, Gary and Callum were all respectful of the property, laying dust sheets everywhere. They all worked extremely hard and we appreciated their keen attention to detail and excellent finishing. It was clear that all three of them took pride in their work.

The installers were all courteous, friendly and very helpful. After work they cleared everything away and vacuumed everywhere thoroughly.

The finished job looks amazing! Needless to say we won’t be going to anyone else for our next installation! This company have all been faultless and they fully deserve 5 Stars.

A fantastic fast and efficient service from Fenster. Having heard good reports from two family members that were happy with the service provided by Fenster I didnt need to try elsewhere and they did not disappoint. I was supplied a sliding glazed internal door for our conservatory which is fantastic qulaity and fitted to perfection.

I've waited quite some time to place this review and do so only after considering the details once I'd got over my initial frustration.

I'm mindful of all the 5* reviews Fenster have had and thus, it seems, I'm in the minority but my experience was far from 5*. I do want to be fair though and have tried to be below.

The initial visit and quoting process was excellent, we were happy with the products and the price and after one glitch over installation dates the fitters arrived to start work. We were made aware that there would be some damage to the render on the house but accepted that risk.

At the point at which two windows had been removed a loud noise came from the bathroom and I discovered that a can of expanding foam had exploded covering the bathroom, roof and drive in foam. The fitters were mortified and offered to clear up the mess which I accepted. On overhearing an explanatory conversation with head office I was surprised to hear that essentially HO had told the fitters that they were "on their own" and despatched to B&Q to buy cleaning materials and "paint so that I could redo my bathroom once they'd gone". A brief conversation led to agreeing that it was their responsibility to clean up the mess (including painting the bathroom) which they did as best they could.

As a result the fit over-ran by two days and was done over the weekend, which was good of them.

However on returning from a day out that weekend we found that the front door fittings were different to the ones ordered and letterbox fitted in a different position to that ordered. Conversation with head office led to them blaming their supplier and promising to get a replacement asap.

One of the windows fitted was also very clearly not straight. On reporting this it was suggested initially that we were wrong but on providing photographs and measurements they accepted that the window was some way off centre and that the foam visible around the edges should not be viewable. The new fitter who came to straighten the window was somewhat taken aback as to how skew-whiff it was.

A month later the correct door was fitted.

A month later than that we found ourselves locked out of the house as the locks were so stiff. Another call out and the doors were re-aligned and the locks now work. (although now, again, they appear to have stiffened up but I don't have the energy to call Fenster out yet again). I gather that some "settling" is normal.

I felt justified in asking Fenster for a level of financial refund given all the problems (and the remaining two-tone roof which we've since had to have cleaned). I was offered £100 (it was a £10k total bill) as "we haven't made any money on this job already", which was hardly my fault and does suggest that the problem with the front door may have been a Fenster error rather than a supplier one thus affecting margin.

Two stars as the windows eventually look good, service was well-priced but goodness it was a frustrating process.

UPDATE

As a result of this review Adam from Fenster called me this morning to discuss the problems we experienced and to offer to put anything that is wrong, right. We had a very open discussion and Adam outlined some of the measures that have been put in place since our experience such as customer satisfaction surveys and work review documents.

I've little doubt that others that have and will use Fenster will have a better experience than me but obviously I can only review based on my experience.

FURTHER UPDATE

Fenster have again revisited and re-finished the door surround as well as re-adjusting the door again. Certainly gone above and beyond since the negative review.

When I set out to choose a window company to replace my double glazing, I was sceptical of everyone. Its a large investment and I wanted to make the right choice. Thankfully, with Fenster, I did. From the first communication Fenster came across well and have been excellent all the way through the process. Friendly, genuinely seem to care and a great finish. The installation was smooth and painless. Even with a few staffing issues causing installation delays, the installers genuinely cared about doing the best job, went the extra mile and were visibly frustrated that they missed their deadline (only by 1 day, which was no bother to me). They were polite and friendly, turned up on time, cleaned up after themselves and did a flawless job. The installers really are proud of the work they do and it shows. They are great ambassadors to the company. Inevitable damage to exterior render was repaired, and there was no damage to the inside (I had heard from friends that I might need to get window frames re-plastered! Thankfully, this wasn't the case).
Since the installation there have been a few minor snags, which have been promptly rectified without question or delay. They simply come out and fixed it. The after-service has been just as good as the rest of the experience.
I genuinely didn't expect everything to be so positive, but it truly has and I would recommend anyone to use Fenster. They were the right choice for me and seem to be a good company doing a good job.

We turned to fensterglazing to replace a broken window due to a driver hitting debris in the road (we live on a main road). They were able to book us in quickly and Adam was very helpful over the phone. He liased with us and the company that compensated us for the damage. I unfortunately had to work last minute so could not be in, however I left a key for the glazer (Ben). I came home to a nice new window and no mess at all! It's like he was never here and the window was never broken!

Great experience with Fenster, and very easy from start to finish. It's hard to trust windows and door suppliers these days but Fenster were great and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I never usually leave reviews but we had such a great experience with Fenster Glazing for our new windows, that I had to!

From start to finish, we felt that the team at Fenster were genuine and professional, helping us to select the best windows for our home and budget.

We had the 4 x new windows installed last week and I'm happy to say, all to a very high standard. The team kept me in the loop on timings and cleaned up after themselves.

Having the new windows has made such a difference. Everything feels so much lighter, cleaner and safer.

New bifold doors in kitchen make such an amazing difference - really good bring extend the room into the garden. New composite door and frame to garage fitted and such an amazing job. Also had some repairs to other glazing and fit nets in home. Whole team involved at all stages we’re just superb, nothing too much, polite, tidy and skilled. Will definitely go to Frnster Glazi g again and highly recommend

Could Not Be Happier!
Really impressive and excellent service from start to finish. The end product is a very happy customer and some lovely bi-fold doors at the rear of our house. These were to replace some very old French-style patio doors.
Options were offered and as we deliberated there was no pressure or rush applied to our decision making. We finally opted for the bi-folds and received a very competitive quote.
A survey was later carried out (very efficient) and then James came on his own for the installation.
Incredible job, clean, friendly and efficient - exactly what you want.
A friendly and approachable Company all round, always communicated well and it was no trouble to measure for some new windows at the time of the original visit. We didn't go ahead with those but once the bank balance builds again we'd look no further than Fenster Glazing for any such needs.
