Cancelled order but company failed to refund after chasing. Luckily paid through PayPal so claimed my money back this way. Will not order from here again.
Completely unimpressed
Completely unimpressed. I ordered some drawers and asked for the old ones to be removed (for which I paid). I was told the paid-for item I ordered was due in 2-4 weeks. After six weeks and still no delivery date I was still chasing up. I could have got the same item from another company much more quickly. Why are so many firms so hopeless these days and don't care about customer satisfaction? In the end I decided to cancel because the carrier couldn't deliver at a time when I wouldn't be in bed (I have long term health conditions and a fractured ankle) and I especially asked for the carriers to deliver between 11-4 pm and take the old item away. I mean it's not as if I can have it delivered when asleep. Although most of the staff have been pleasant enough I blame them for it taking so long and using a carrier firm who are based in Glasgow (I'm in S W England) meaning they can never guarantee a time that's not early morning or evening. I also have to pay £40 carrier service to return the item to the firm for all this inconvenience too before they will refund the rest. I should be compensated for the inconvenience and ridiculous length of time all this is taking. I ordered on 25th Sept and now November 10th without a penny back so far. But I have been in touch with CAB and know they have to refund me.
Terrible customer service and company
Terrible customer service, wardrobe door comes completely smashed (glass), and the other door damaged, they refuse to collect and do not answer your emails when you follow it up. Bought expensive items from this company and they treat you like this. The glass is in pieces yet the customer has to dispose of the item, they just don't care that this broken glass is a hazard. Avoid and go to a more reputable company. It was their fault it arrived like this so they should pick it up, it is very heavy that I can’t lift it too. Will never use them again, disgraceful company and I wouldn’t even give one star.
Don’t judge a book my it’s cover!
We ordered a day bed and trundle beginning of June this year. Bed arrived very quickly and we love it - the trundle never did.
Many excuses for delay which I blamed FGS for. It wasn’t their fault but shipping agents from China. FGS were piggies in the middle, but for me very frustrating.
A replacement was sent and the service from FGS first class at every level. Thank you MG.

I ordered Friday evening and had it Tuesday which was very quick.
Poor Customer Service
Good competitive prices but when things go wrong the Customer Service is poor - whilst I do now have the mattress I ordered, it did not arrive on the day agreed (I stayed in ALL day), no apology, no response to my emails.
Also false claims on website of next day delivery which wasn't actually available.

Ordered some furniture that was apparently in stock online. This was on the 6th February. Hadn’t heard anything by the 6th March so emailed to cancel it. I was advised that I couldn’t despite their website saying you can. I pointed this out to them and they have ignored me since! It is now the 9th April and still no refund and they continue to ignore me. Read the reviews before you buy. I am still not convinced that they are not a scam. I will be going to the small claims court to get my money back.

I can't understand the poor reviews for FGS Furnishings. From ordering our Orlando Pine Headboard to delivery, the service was first class. Called to say they had received my order and advised on the delivery time. Called again to say it was on its way and was the date and time convenient. Arrived as advised in perfect condition and looks great in our guest bedroom. From our experience, I would highly recommend the company.
Buyer Beware Of This Company
The fact that this company operate under various names; the Sleep Shop, Just Pillows etc. should ring alarm bells that they cannot reputably trade under one name. Customers should avoid them like the plague and Trading Standards should have investigated them years ago. A shadey operation whose sole purpose appears to be selling substandard goods to the public and then getting difficult should they develop faults. Like most of the reviewers here I advise not buying from these individuals or any of the other names they go under. If you buy from one of the company names they go under and you then get an order receipt from FGS my advice is to cancel immediately before they rip you off too.
The bed was not the correct size
The bed was not the correct size. I ordered a 3ft bunk bed and received a 2.6ft bunk bed. It had cracks on the slats support, and most of the slats were too short leaving insufficient room for screwing down on the slat support.
The customer service following a request for a refund and collection of the bed was poor and rude. The resolution process is slow and long-winded, seemingly meant to fob off ones efforts to get a refund.
Do not buy, but if you must, make sure to use a payment protection service and be ready for the possibility of a nightmare purchase.
Not even worth one star - 3 months and no mattress or refund
Not even worth one star - AVOID THIS COMPANY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME !! I wish I had read their reviews on here before I bought a mattress with them in August. 3 months on I've got no mattress and no refund either.
It took 2 months to find out the mattress is out of stock, finding out this information from Matthew the Director/Manager was difficult, he didn't get back in touch. Suddenly when I asked for a refund an alternative mattress was offered - which I didn't want. Getting a refund has been just as difficult as getting a mattress - still no refund despite being told this was sorted 3 weeks ago.
Lots of emails sent, phone calls, time wasted and at the moment no refund either. Please don't put yourself through what I've been through - take your business elsewhere.

Avoid, sorry they have changed their name now to bed247 so I’d probably avoid them too! The bargains are tempting but not worth sleeping on the floor for 2+ months!
COMPLETE FAIL
I ordered a brass bed frame 13 months ago for nearly £1700. For a year+ I have been given the runaround, finally being told several weeks ago that the bed I ordered was no longer available. Since then, I have been trying to chase down the refund I was promised. I have spoken numerous times with arrogant Matthew and unhelpful Paul, neither of whom take responsibility, and neither of whom have ever once phoned me back despite their repeated promises to do so. I have been phoning this firm for 13 months and they have done nothing but put me off. A few days ago, I was told by a female staff member that the managing director, Mark, was aware that I am owed a refund but has been in France, so it hasn't happened. How is that even relevant, or an excuse? This was after Matthew had promised I would have the money in my bank account within a few days. They have had my £1700 for 13 months and I still do not have a bed. FGS is one of the worst retail experiences I have ever encountered -- a huge waste of time. I wish I had read the reviews on this page before I attempted to do business with them. Avoid this firm.
Incredibly bad customer service
Incredibly bad customer service. Big delay of 2months, then when it came the mattress was faulty with dips but they refuse to refund! Spoke to a very passive aggressive and rude man on the phone Mathew who refused to listen,empathize, spoke over me, and hung up. Would not recommend.

Avoid these rogue traders at all costs. Refuse to refund and extremely rude and unhelpful. Matthew the operations director has no accountability, refuses to help customers and has a superior complex. NEVER SHOP HERE find somewhere else with better reviews, you will not regret your decision !!
Beware - products not in stock & 2 weeks to receive a refund!!!
I purchased a sofa bed that was advertised as in stock, was then contacted to say it was out of stock & the refund would take UPTO 7 working days! It's now 9 working days & still no refund. Its disgusting that in times of financial struggles, a company can falsely advertise items as in stock, instantly take your money & then keep it for so long!!!!!
