Amazing repairs but avoid courtesy car
My accident was on 31/01/2022 and repair was booked for 26/04/2022. Almost 3 months for a repair is not a great wait time. Other than that the repair was performed excellently and in only 5 working days.
My main problem was the courtesy car. I was told the car should be a like for like car but what I was given matched in only year of production. No sat nav, no electronic key, no LCD screen, no Bluetooth, no steering controls etc etc. It was a 2016 hyandai i10 that had less in way of extras than many cars made before 2010. It was a purely no thrills car.
When told to take pictures of any damage to the car on arrival I might as well of taken a video because the car was in a condition close to needed to be booked into its own repair centre. Broken side mirror, damaged hubcaps, dents, scrapes and scratches on every panel. The guy who dropped it off almost looked embarrassed to give me the car and take mine.
The window wipers were so old they only smeared the rain making it so I had to pull over when it rained through fear of crashing.
When I informed them that the blades are useless I got the response "we hear that alot".
To say that putting the car into reverse was problematic is an understatement. It sometimes took upto 5 attempts just to get the car to reverse and sometimes it took alot of strength to force the car into reverse.
When i informed them of this I was told they would "look into it".
All in all the repairs are amazing but I would highly recommend borrowing a car or even taking up cycling than to use one of their courtesy cars. It would be safer

Thank you for the positive response in relation to your repairs. In reference to the courtesy car, we only supply a small 5 door replacement vehicle, if you were advised a like for like this was possibly via your broker and you would need to speak to them in relation to this.
We do currently have new loan vehicles on order but due to the current situation with lack of availability we are using slightly older than normal vehicles but can assure you they are regularly checked and serviced and completely road safe and legal.
Once again thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and glad you're happy with the service supplied.

Very impressive service.
Lots of work needed to be done after I crashed my car. Kept me updated at all times. Friendly & helpful. Very impressed, car looks brand new. Very clean too. Wasn’t so keen on the courtesy car. But at least I got one. Would strongly recommend this garage.

Audi A5 was rear ended and went to fix-auto. Despite getting to like the tech in my hire car, when I went to pick up my car, it looked amazing and I couldn't help the grin on my face. tech all forgotten about. They even hoovered the interior, dressed the tyres and washed the whole car. Amazing service, would highly recommend.

Good sevice
Due to the part coming in early the repair was brought forward, on inspection another part was needed but this was sorted out in a couple of days, staff kept us updated, overall a quick and efficient service.

My car went in to have drivers door repaired very pleased with overall job car looked brand new when I picked it up. Great job and car was also cleaned inside and out. Just took a few days longer to sort out but great job.

Had accident on 21.12.21
Had accident on 21.12.21. Car went in on 14.02.22 returned on 04.03.22 nothing wrong with the repair work but car returned with fan not working so now booked in with dealer for repair of the fan. An explanation would have been helpful but nothing, would certainly not use again by choice.

Thank you for your review we are glad you are happy with the quality of the repair work carried out. As you are also aware the repairs carried out to your vehicle was rear damage due to being hit by a third party vehicle.
Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control and throughout our industry we are all suffering with parts availability and delay hence the length of time to get the vehicle on site (your vehicle was still drivable and useable)
In response to the fan not working we had no reason to touch the fan controls in your vehicle or check that the cooling fan under the bonnet was operational and up until reading this review we was not aware that you had an issue. If you would like for us to investigate for you we are more than happy to do so. It could also be a warranty issue that your dealer is aware of?
Once again if you need our assistance please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Accident in November 2021
Accident in November 2021. car booked in for repair for January 10th 2022 because of global shortages of parts was the reason given. Car collected on Jan 10th. Returned February 9th. 2022. Many reasons given but at the end of the day Unbelievable every one. Repair good but timescale as far as we are concerned not acceptable. God knows how much our insurance company are having to pay for the hire car (which was like driving a rattling tin can.

I was referred to Fix auto as a third…
I was referred to Fix auto as a third party, by the insurance of the lady who bumped into my car (from behind). I am so disappointed to say they sent my car back without completing the job as required, only because they wanted their courtesy car back. My car was for work and I needed to use it. I couldn't work without a car until mine was completed. When I told them I couldn't release their courtesy car until mine was done ,the manager of this company shouted at me, he was so rude. He spoke to me as if he was talking to a kid. Few minutes later his two ( huge) drivers were by my office door to drop my car without an agreement and not completed. That was so intimidating. I called the insurance who referred us there and they told us to give them back their car and bill the insurance for the extra costs. Today my car started to have noises from the engine. Called a recovery to check and was told that the fan belt was cut and left a small part hanging, so it was peeling off and causing that noise. Right now my car has been taken to the garage to be fixed. I am not impressed with the way I was treated and my car too.

We are sorry you felt the service was below par we always endeavour to do our best.
As discussed with yourself the only part that was not placed back on your vehicle was your company livery/decal. You did give us the details of the company to use to which we did and paid for but they supplied us with the wrong decals in the wrong colour and you wanted your car back instead of waiting an additional 7 days approx for the correct decals to be delivered to us. We spoke to you after speaking to your insurance company and they agreed the vehicle should be returned to you so that you could sort out the decals yourself and then send the invoice to the insurance company for payment. I understand that you wasn’t happy to do that. The decal company was based in Enfield, not an area we currently cover but you wanted us to send a member of our staff with your car and sit there all day whist they applied the correct decals, again we spoke with your insurance company who advised that, that wasn’t possible. We then received a call from your manager, we explained the situation and he asked we return the vehicle and he would sort the decals. We delivered the vehicle back and the satisfaction note was signed.
In ref to the fan belt the repairs carried out to your vehicle was the rear bumper, we had no reason to go under the bonnet into engine compartment at all! The fan belt is classed as a service item and do wear and need replacing, this is unrelated to the claim.

Polite & efficient operation for accident repair
Initial contact was done by e-mail & sent photos of the damage so no need to take the car in for assessment. Nice staff handled the drop off & pick up efficiently (thanks Emma). Told me it would take a week & it was that exactly, looks a good quality job.

My car went into be mended and they have messed up all the wiring my car won't lock. I phoned them and they have given is no help at all, told me to go back through my insurance company what a joke.

Good Morning, We are sorry you feel we have been no assistance in the issue with your vehicle, as stated we repaired the damaged area of your vehicle as instructed by your insurance company. This was driver's side front door and sill, the issue you are experiencing is with the tailgate central locking. I believe you stated that our driver reversed your vehicle into the rear of a stationary car outside your neighbours when delivering it back to you and you believe this has caused the issue, we have spoken to the driver and you are aware of our findings, when we inspected the images you sent it was clear the car has been hit in the rear by someone at some time due to the screw holes in your rear bumper caused by front number plate fixings (screw head marks) of another vehicle. Again we would advise you speak to your insurance company so they can either arrange a physical inspection of your car or advise us how they would like us to proceed. We are more then happy to help if required.
