At Folk & Bespoke customers can shop easily in one place, from lots of local artisans, makers and creatives who use our “store without a front” to sell their work. Lovely little local craft market (although it travels around so catch it when it’s local to you!). Really well organised by lovely friendly people - well worth a visit. Always such a great array of small makers and crafters with such a variety of things to see. Definitely a great market and we always visit it when it’s in Brighton. 10/10 no notes!
I attend Folk & Bespoke events regularly in Leigh-on-Sea.
Each event is always very well organised and lots of information of what to expect emailed the week before.
Folk and Bespoke showcases a strictly hand made artisan market. This has been an exceptional opportunity for me as an artist to meet other creatives and have always found the markets to be very welcoming and friendly. Katy clearly works hard at F&B and it certainly has a community feel of makers supporting each other.
I would certainly recommend these events as a great way for your products to be seen.
Everything about this market is so thoughtfully chosen, from the makers selected, to the layout and venue. I've been to the St Augustine's venue in Brighton a couple of times now and I'm about to go again this saturday as a seller for the first time, and the other stallholders, and Katy and Amy the organisers have been super kind and encouraging and welcoming. Great market, highly recommend - you won't find any 3D printed dragons here!
I've been a stall holder at F&B events for a number of years and only rarely sell anywhere else now. As a seller I can rely on each market being well organised, widely publicised with attention to detail that ensures every stall holder has everything they need. As a punter, you can be assured that all events are carefully curated and you are buying directly from the maker. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming, whichever side of the stall you are and there is plenty of online support. Stall holders can ask for help or offer advice through a well regulated chat room and buyers can access user friendly shop fronts that are open all hours. One of the best artisan markets in the business.
I have benn attending Folk and Bespoke artisan markets since they started organising them. I have always found Katy and everyone involved extremely professional. Events are well organised and the behind the scenes work that is done is immeasurable. Like all fairs and markets some are more quiet than others on occasion and you cannot force people to buy from you. This is no fault of the organisers. I will continue to attend Folk and Bespoke markets at various locations for as long as I can
Always a great experience working with Folk and Bespoke. Katy has built a lovely community of artisan craft makers and the events are really well organised. It’s lovely to see familiar faces at all the events and everyone is really supportive. It is rare to find organisers that care so much and curate such a lovely range of original works
Lovely artisan markets located in various different locations. I've done several of these events with Katy in various locations and they are always so well organised. Every event is very well advertised by Katy and her team and she makes it easy for stall holders to share her advertisement posts as well. Always a lovely atmosphere, Katy, her team and other stall holders are always friendly and supportive. Booking process is very simple and Katy has a range of different stalls making sure they complement each other and are not duplicates.
I will be doing lots more Folk & Bespoke events and highly recommend them.
I've been trading with Folk and Bespoke ever since I started selling my work. I've found Katy (and her sometime representative, Amy), to be professional, helpful and encouraging at every step. Every event is advertised online through numerous social channels (including paid ads), and where the venue permits, physical advertising goes up before the event too (some venues are more helpful than others for this). The big difference for me with F&B is the community Katy has built between the vendors, where everyone can support and get advice from each other. Yes, some venues can be quieter, and some might not be right for your work, but thats the same with any market. Anyone that guarantees footfall is not being truthful imo as previous attendance is unreliable, equally high footfall doesn't always mean high sales, sometimes the slower event attracts those thatvare actually looking to spend, rather than just browse.
All in all I would highly recommend F&B, but as with any market, if you're unsure, visit a venue beforehand to see if it fits you. And don't forget to use the advertising material provided to promote the event yourself!
Brilliant craft / artisan markets, well organised & wonderful hand made creative items you wouldn't see in the shops. Experienced organiser that creates a great atmosphere at every event.
Done a few Folk & Besboke craft fairs which have been very well organised by Katy and team. She provides plenty of advertising media for sharing ahead of time and does ‘paid for’ advertising for each event. There are also banners displayed at the events. Personally, I've had good and bad events with regard to sales and footfall which is just how it goes. It’s tough out there at the moment and there is not a lot of cash around for ‘luxury’ purchases - none of which is the fault of the craft fair organiser.
I’ve been a part of Folk and Bespoke events over the years in Leigh, Rayleigh, and Westcliff, and they are truly wonderful. These events have a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel part of a community while selling alongside others.
Of course, footfall can be hit and miss—just like any event—and no one can guarantee how well it will go. Sometimes it simply depends on what people fancy buying on the day. However, I’ve always noticed that Folk and Bespoke do a great job promoting both leading up to the event and on the day itself.
I’ve already booked events with them for the rest of this year and fully intend to use their services again.
I really enjoy working with Folk and Bespoke and have found them to be one of the top organisers for craft fairs that I have come across. They are well organised, informative, communicate all the details well and are extremely helpful when needed. I have used them many times and attended multiple craft fairs in different areas. Sometimes, as you would expect, there are slow days which tends to be weather or finance dependent, but other times have been really good. I don't do this to make a fortune, I do it because I love making things and I love people's reactions to what I have made and Folk & Bespoke give me a forum to allow me to do that.
Well done to the team, everything you do is appreciated.
Folk & Bespoke is a great platform for selling at craft fairs, supportive and kind leadership helped when starting out doing fairs earlier this year. Despite some quiet fairs ( not just with F&B - seems to be across other organisers as well) Advertising is difficult outside events due to council beaurocracy not F&B's lacking. I have found Katie and her family to be informative, patient and knowledgeable in many aspects of craft fair events. Yes you can find cheaper stalls but also lots that are far more expensive. I have personally had a very positive experience with Folk & Bespoke.
I recently did my first event with Folk & Bespoke (having only started doing stalls fairly recently), and I had such a lovely experience. There were lots of genuinely interested customers, whom I loved chatting with, and I really enjoyed spending the day meeting with the other vendors, too. It was such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and I’ve already booked in for my next event with them! 😊
I have worked with Folk & Bespoke for a few years now & I couldn't ask for a more helpful & more supportive team to get behind my little business.
From the monthly craft fairs that I book & attend, to the website that I am slowly building I always receive encouragement & I have made the most of a relaxed & cheerful environment.
There is always a friendly face ready to greet me at markets, happy to help should I need anything & willing to advise & support at all times.
The team always do their best to pull in as many people as possible to markets - everything is well advertised, including the website and the new F&B app is a helpful addition to the other marketing tools I have.
I'm very much looking forward to the next few months of fairs with F&B 👌
Always advertised on social media. A lot of hard work and effort goes in to making each and every event successful. Lots of wonderful talented crafts people. Fantastic community and communication.
We have been attending the craft fairs organised by F&B (Katy) since the beginning of the year and can honestly say they are extremely well run and well advertised! Katy is extremely easy to deal with and very helpful. Some of the fairs have been lightly attended but that is hardly the organiser's fault! The majority of the fairs have had a steady flow of visitors - not something anyone can actually control! I would happily recommend having a stall at F&B craft markets or visiting one. It is a lovely way to spend a few hours - so many different vendors - always something interesting to see.
Katie's events are always well organised and well run. She provides lots of information to traders ahead of events and produces excellent advertising that traders can use to advertise the evnt and draw the public in.
The people that trade with Katie are really lovely and I love that everything is hand-made from the traders themselves - no buy-ins!
Great little company, well meaning and really inviting as both a buyer and a trader at Folk and Bespoke events I can say that they are some of the best run and well advertised events. Much better than some of the other fairs I have been to
Huge red flag for small businesses. At the event I attended (Folk & Bespoke Events at Ware Drill Hall, 17 Amwell End, Ware SG12 9HP), virtually every vendor was there for the first time because no one ever returns. With almost no signage and zero marketing, foot traffic was under 20 people for the entire day. Total waste of stall fees and weekend trading time. Organisers just take the pitch money and disappear.
