People can come together to make, sell, buy and collect unique and bespoke items, supporting local design professionals and crafters. My goal is to create the very best website for all creative professionals and connect you with small and local businesses through year-round, accessible marketplaces. All products on Folk and Bespoke have been handmade, designed or created by the seller, which means, each and every product is unique and made with love. I find customers and vendors and invite them to the site. Local businesses. I will choose only quality artisans, not people who are ‘flipping’ products. It will be a links page, so that you, the vendor will have complete control of your individual marketplace. When people make a purchase on Folk and Bespoke they will supporting the creative industry in the UK and directly supporting an independent artist, maker or creative.

Content Theft
I paid for hosting on their online selling platform, and they ripped my personal photography from my shop page on their site, posted it to their Instagram without my permission and without crediting/tagging me or linking to my page on their website. I messaged them asking them to tag me and they never responded despite seeing the message. They posted my photo again, and I commented on the post asking for them to take it down as they didn't have permission to use my photos, and they commented back apologising and saying they would, but instead they deleted the comments and kept my photo up. To add insult to injury, they were using my photos to advertise their articles which, in my opinion, seem to be AI generated. Unfortunately this is a pattern of theirs, and pretty much every post on their social media shows work from creators they fail to credit.
It's honestly quite baffling as their initial communications with me emphasized that "My aim is to help raise awareness of the wonderful work that lots of small businesses create and to provide the opportunity and space for them to expand their online presence.". Their brand image similarly signals these ideals, and it would just make good business sense to link the creator's shop page on their website in their posts. More importantly though, a creator's photography is theirs and theirs alone, and the idea that this company is sneakily appropriating it to advertise themselves is unacceptable, and frankly quite tacky.
