Claire's champagne service
In today's world of automated tills, irritating robot voices and lacklustre human customer care, Claire from the GB Bank Savings Team was a joy over the telephone. Her soft Geordie accent was particularly reassuring as she helped me fill in my online application (after making a hash of the first one by myself). She then patiently guided me through what would happen next. Her presence took me back to my younger days enjoying the odd glass of champagne (Cava really) on the Tuxedo Princess at the Newcastle Quayside when at college in the North East. Claire - I hope your bosses appreciate that it is wonderful people like you who keep people like me sane.

I had forgotten my memorable data. The lady at the end of the line was patient and carefully took through the steps to securely access my account. It was right at the end of her working day, but she gave me her time and solved my problem.

Made it really easy to open accounts...had to contact customer service a couple of times, the staff were really helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly
The app is supper easy to use
After researching many banks.. GB Bank ticked all I was looking for, with the additional knowledge of this bank being based in the UK
The rates on Bonds were very competitive with options for monthly or year interest
From our experience I would highly recommend this Bank

Very efficient customer service and fund transfer
Very efficient customer service. A quick response time via telephone contact. Extremely efficient faster payment transfers. Received my funds in a matter of minutes. I would normally expect transfers to complete at the end of the next working day when dealing with other financial institutions

Polite, patient and warm customer service.
My fixed rate savings account was maturing soon and I tried to log in to my account to choose my options. I couldn't remember my "memorable object ". I called up and was almost instantly put through to a person called Emma.
I explained the issue and found her to be extremely patient and helpful. She took me through the process of changing some pertinent details. It was so refreshing to talk to an actual human being who both spoke clear English and sounded genuinely concerned. So different to my other recent experiences with other banks and large companies. GB Bank are to be commended on their selection of customer facing staff!

I had a password problem and none of…
I had a password problem and none of the FAQs were helpful so I phoned the helpline.( the number which was easily visible and I didn’t have to search pages of info to find it)
There was the usual automated message but once that was done the phone was answered in 2 rings by a very helpful human!
It was so refreshing to get straight to someone who could deal with my problem.
Sorry I don’t remember who I spoke with but she was so helpful and soon the problem was resolved.
