Although my experience wasn’t a smooth…

Although my experience wasn’t a smooth one, the after re from GeniePoint was second to none. To be fair the issue wasn’t with Genie point. I charged my car successfully and ended my charging session but it didn’t close correctly so unfortunately I was charged an overnight fee although my car had left the car park. I contacted GeniePoint and they could see I had attempted to end the charge session and have agreed to refund me the charge. Couldn’t ask for more in all honesty, great service.

I needed to charge my works car up for…

I needed to charge my works car up for my journey in to work. I have used the charge point in the Morrison at Hadleigh a lot of time and the price was the same as a lot of places, but when I went to use it to recharge the price had gone up all most double. I had no choice but to use it. Why has it gone up so much when we are being ask to use electric more than diesel. I will use other companies instead from now on until they realise the price is putting people off

Absolutely extortionate

Absolutely extortionate. The most expensive by far, and actually working out at more per mile than owning anl conventional ICE car. Rip off company, can only hope they go under, nothing more satisfying thsn seeing the greedy cause their own demise.

Appalling pricing | Poor service | REGULATION NEEDED

Appalling pricing. 98p per kWh! As of today in the local area:
BP Pulse: 77p
Instavolt: 75p
PodPoint: 65p
Note that NONE of the above require you to pay a subscription to get those prices either. Worse still, the app is abysmally clunky and phone lines take forever to get through to anyone.

This was once my favourite charge supplier. Now I can't wait for another supplier to become the market leader in my area.

I hope Geniepoint goes bankrupt

Appalling system and experience. Every single Geniepoint I have ever tried to charge at has been an excruciating process. Lengthy and ridiculous account set up process, clumsy payment system, unreliable charging infrastructure. Everywhere from Morrisons to BP garages they are atrocious. The market will eventually show you how poor you are and you will go bankrupt.

Geniepoint is useless. They make the whole electric car driving experience so stressful. Avoid at all costs as they are unreliable and appear to have no maintenance plan. In Cornwall and the Isle of Wight last year there were none found working and they have still not been repaired. Are they still in business?

Has been over a month that the Geniepoint charger at the Morrison's Totton ,Southampton and still not fixed, can't get through to customer services at all and just a waste of time, out of all the chargers I use this is definitely the worst, will have to travel into the city to charge now, wasting my time and money.

Avoid, most likely broken

Have visited several of genie point chargers over the last 12 months and only managed to charge successfully once. You check the app for a near by charger app shows online and no one is using. Then turn up and try to use the app to get working and when you click charge literally updates to fault on all chargers but still take money out of your account. Several machine in my area have also been broken for months. Avoid like the plague.

Expensive and poor service

Genie offered fast charging in George St, Wakefield . On arrival the rapid charger was reserved for taxes only. Also the most expensive electric I've encountered. Watch out for there overstay fees scam. Customer service is poor and your credit card statement will show the charge with a different company name, no reference to the charger or genie and no usage details . Very confusing and expensive. Avoid , it will cost you time and money.

Overstay charges

I was charged overstay charges whilst still charging my vehicle. I needed 2 hours to charge my car, but apparently overstay charges trigger at 1 hour 30 mins. I had assumed the clock started for overstay once the charge had completed.

I have tried to get a credit but the call centre couldn't address my problem and my email hasn't been answered.

This was in a hotel car park. I actually came off charge at the end of the charging period. How the heck do you charge overnight without a huge bill.

Ridiculous situation. I will try to avoid in future.

Totally useless as ever

Totally useless as ever. Tried to charge at Morrison’s in Stamford. App wouldn’t work. Paid direct. Toddled off but on my return I found the charger had switched off after a few minutes. My fourth attempt at using a GeniePoint charger all of which have ended in failure. Somebody buy them out. Please!!!

It’s just awful

It’s just awful. Tried several times at different sites but it just won’t start. No contactless payment, no decent app, just an awful website that isn’t fit for purpose. It’s the worst out there. Just don’t bother….

By far the worst EV charger provider

By far the worst charger provider. Chargers out-of-service for months "waiting for a spare" occupying spaces in council car parks. Customer Service is hopeless.
Do the councils (eg Torridge) have a service level agreement with GeniePoint? If so, why don't they enforce it?

They are crap tbh. The app is crap, they are expensive and when you call them to discuss issues you get the minimum wage gang answering the phone stating I couldn't give a toss really..but hey its easy money. Buy a petrol car
