Great dealership! Sold me an Audi A7 6 months ago and just went back for a full service and got a 20% discount for buying the car from them. The car has not let me down or given me any problems. I love my car and have already recommended to family and friends which they have bought from them too and they have had a great experience too!

Please make sure you check trust pilot or get other local people’s opinions before buying from these people. I wish I would’ve done! Touch wood I can’t fault my car, it runs smoothly and I’ve had no issues however I have only had it a month. All was well, friendly enough staff when viewing the car to buying it, the staff member even helped me sort my insurance etc. However, I was given two faulty keys, yes the car drives with either of the keys in but I’ve had so many problems locking it & unlocking it resulting in me having to leave it unlocked wherever I go. I’ve emailed German engineering twice now as I’m still within my 3 months warranty but got no response!! I tried everything, every key battery under the sun, nothing worked. I can’t even lock it manually. I can only assume they were aware of this problem before selling me the car hence why they may be ignoring me now. I looked to leave a review on their website but funnily enough there’s no option to leave a review so they must be in control of it, and of course, they’re all good reviews on their website. I’ve had to go to the car brand directly in Cambridge to order a new key which has cost me £190.. I would never have expected to have to do this but sadly I wasn’t left much choice. Please be aware and check EVERYTHING on the car before buying.

Brought a car from this dealership in April were very helpful spending my money., delivered it for free as I am a key worker very nice of them right. We rang back week later saying rear window wiper motor needs fixing needs new air con condenser and driver side window doesn't move up and down properly, which they said as it was lockdown the mechanic were not working.. Ok fair play.. Now give it another 2 months and now let's copy and paste the list of repairs we have had to get fixed with one being serious as I couldn't stop in traffic as my brakes failed due to poor workmanship. I've had my mechanic list my repairs. I am now having to borrow a car as I can't afford to make the repairs.

Ns rear brake caliper totally ceased and brake carriage assembly not secured to brackets resulting in excess play and FAILURE OF BRAKES DUE TO EXCESS TRAVEL WHICH BROKE BRAKE LINE!!!!
Os rear brake line not secure replacement of both rear brake lines and flexy hoses.
Brake cable damaged failed hand brake test as only OS was working
New rear NS caliper, new hand brake cable, new hoses and flex
Steering unit not secured correctly missing bolts result complete failure of steering rack and pump.
Steering rack and pump have scrap yard codes stamped on them.

If you would like to refund me the £600 the steering rack and pump going to cost I would be most greatful. 🤔👍

If you desire to interact with them and risk getting dirty by being begged to swear at them but resist so they can not achieve such leverage then look no further.

Ad: "(..)this vehicle drives fine due to bodywork [pictures] the price is reduced to clear"
Phone: "goood engine goood transmission"

After payment: "delivery for 6PM" -- now 10AM, Sunday.
2PM call: "the engine make big noise(..)in 1-2 days you would have big problems! we ordered a part and then deliver your car"

Past the 2nd due date: I sent email, if you deliver a faulty car I'll refuse it
Email response: "You have purchased(..)sold for parts or scrap(..)"
A lie! The advert said "drives fine" and on the phone I told them it's my first car ever and I don't care how it's looking, the back bumper 'painted "yaa-yaaa.. no problemm"; After this email "the driver" left a voicecall--denied him even his £25/day scam.

Further emails: "no problem you have lost all your money"

Threat to sue: shortly Kuala Lumpur asked to login in my email [denied,doh]

"the car will be scrapped. No one made you make a bank transfer" etc.

Reported , got a ref.no. ,then they kindly offered refund but lost £72 for NO DELIVERY EVER HAPPENED

Thank you for the feedback. The true fact is you purchased a vehicle for £250 as advertised for parts/scrap and then after you tried to pull out. We still gave you full refund and informed you to not waste our time otherwise by law you had no ground to stand. I think you should be grateful and honest.

on top of the £70 "delivery" (never tried to deliver) they eated £2 from the £16 TIP on purpose since in the first email I told them that I won't accept a pound less. £444 + £70 + £16

Absolutely disgusting! We had an appointment to view a car and travelled seventy miles to view, only to get a phone call twenty minutes before appointment time to be told it had been sold. No phone call to ask prior to them selling if we want it. What a wasted journey and disgusting service. Avoid avoid avoid! Your reply is absolute rubbish!! You DID NOT ask for a Deposit!! What a load of rubbish, your other reviews sum it up!! Cowboys!

Aggressive sales tactics. Poor customer service. Waste of time. You'd be better off taking your money elsewhere.

These people are the typical worst car dealers who treat you as a long lost friend until the money is paid. At that point they do not want to know you or help with any problems.

I bought a VW Golf supposedly with SatNav. Viewed the car and it seemed (externally at least) to be in reasonable condition. SatNav system was installed so, having paid for the car I drove out and tried to set my home address.

At this point the system told me to insert the SatNav SD Card. Eventually I found the CD type box in the glove compartment but it had no SD Card in it! So I returned to German Engineering and enquired about it only to be told that the previous owner must have taken the SD Card with him and I would have to buy it!

Once home I realised that two of the four wheels had seriously rusted brake discs which needed re-skimming.

All together a pretty horrible purchase experience and would never buy from these guys again or recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely avoid

And so kind of them to reply almost eighteen months after the purchase - they obviously really care!!!

Horrendous experience! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Save yourself the headache ! A family run scam business that sells faulty cars to its customers. Wish i followed the reviews and never purchased from Germanengineeringcarsales .

Bought a car from them and a month and 3 days later the transmissions fails. I take it back to the garage as its still under the 3 month warranty but was told it is not covered (only engine is covered) and quoted £1000 in excess repair cost. Not a cost that one expects a month later , especially when they state that the cars have been inspected by them and are in excellent condition.

I refused to pay and exercised my Consumer Rights 2015 as the vehicle is not fit for purpose - i can not drive it until the fault has been fixed.

Now they start to shout, call names, and use intimidating tactics to try and put the blame on the customer and/or that they are too busy to fix my issue. They change their version of the story every time saying its due to ; wear and tear , its electrical, its expected, to even accusing me of tampering with it. They do not listen and have no intent in helping - unless you want to buy their faulty cars.

They take no responsibility, they are extremely rude , expect no service from them after buying the faulty car. I am in the process of court case proceedings against them. Do yourself a favour and AVOID this place at all COSTS, there is no sense of client, no morality - only how can they profit of you. You have been warned.

AVOID this place. Upon purchasing the car, I was told there was an additional £150 hidden cost. I encountered problems from day one. The car would take about 10 minutes to start up, I could hear metal grinding whilst driving and there were also a number of issues such as the indoor central locking didn’t work. At first they seemed very accommodating and made a list of all the issues and said they would look into them. They had the car for approximately two weeks and during this time they did not inform me whatsoever of the status of the car. I had to call them everyday in order to find out what was happening. When the time finally came to collect the car, I called to inform them I was on my way and double checked that they had resolved all the issues they said they would look into over the past two weeks. The brother of the main salesman, Adam, was extremely rude. He started shouting down the phone saying my problems were ‘petty’ and ‘pathetic’. He refused to accept that he and his brother had agreed to sort out the problems. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. I didn’t back down and said they had to fix the problems as they had said they would. He said his brother would be in touch the next day not before ending the conversation by swearing down the phone saying he was done with this ‘bulls#*t’. It was an awful encounter and beyond unprofessional. I knew what my legal rights were, and as they did not disclose the problems at the time of the sale, I was entitled to the repairs or a refund. I had read reviews of other people’s experiences and it seemed like they made the car problems worse. So i asked for a refund. The main salesman, Hawat, tried to force me to swap cars or accept the repairs. When I managed to get out of him how long it would take for the repairs to be complete, he timed the date so that I would be out of my legal right of a refund. I refused his offer and he was aggressive saying that I should get in contact with his solicitors. He did however eventually and reluctantly agree to a refund but he retained the £150 warranty cost which I felt was extremely unfair considering they had retained the car for 2 weeks and had used part of that money to rectify the start up problem. I should have been reimbursed for the road tax, insurance I’d had to pay for considering I’d only had the car for a week in my possession, as well as the inconvenience and downright rudeness I had been subjected to. It was a horrid experience, one which I hope to never encounter ever again.

Absolute shambles. Took a £200 deposit from me for a Corsa and when I call back the following day the guy says if someone offers him more money then he will be taking it! What sort of car sales site are these people trying to run? A deposit is to secure the car. Not keep advertising and hoping for more! He was very argumentative and in the end I had to threaten him with the police due to theft of my money to get a refund. Avoid this company at all costs. I use to be in the trade and this is the biggest bunch of underhanded, lying, bunch of cow boys I've ever met.

Great company to deal with, a real pleasant experience.

I had a great experience at German Engineering Car Sales LTD, Great customer service and after car. I purchased a car from them with 12 months MOT as I requested, 12 months AA extended warranty and my car was fully serviced when I purchased it. I have nothing bad to say about the company except I will recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys and good luck and hopefully I will see you guys when I need to upgrade.

I rang about a car and asked if I could come and view, I was told that it would take 30mins to get there, _( even though web site said it should have been open for over an hour ), i was asked by the manager are you just coming to look or was I going to buy, i said i wanted to look first the manager said that as i wasnt going to buy and it would take him 30 - 40mins to get there, best leave for another day, this it before i handed over money what would there customer service be if I had bought a motor and had a problem.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! WARNING! Do not buy a car from this dealer, untrustworthy, very rude and slippery. Selling unroad worthy cars and refusing to repair in the warranty period, blaming it on user error! So I bought a car from this crook in November 2017 and after a long dispute through the (very useless) AA Dealership Promise we have had to pay over £1000 3 months later (whilst still in the so called dealership warranty period), to have the car repaired for a fault that was on the car when we bought it. I have done research on companies house and the director, (the same guy who sold us the car) has closed dealerships in the past due to compulsory strike off. Doing a quick google on the previous dealership names, I have found reviews much like this one saying they were sold unroadworthy cars. I hope this review helps you, I wish I had seen one to read before I purchased. I would only buy a car from this place if you don't like your money and want to throw it away. You'd be better off buying a chocolate teapot. And any so called "customer service" like reply to this review is a load of hogwash, its a dealership ran by snakes.
