Horrendous Experience – Zero Communication, Unethical Practices
I booked an Auschwitz tour through Viator, operated by GR8WAY, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish.
First of all, they assigned us a pickup time of 03:00 AM – which I had already explained in advance was impossible due to my husband's diabetic condition. We had agreed on a 10:00 AM pickup, yet this was blatantly ignored.
Worse still, GR8WAY never responded to any of my messages, before or after the booking. There was absolutely no communication, no flexibility, and no accountability. I was left chasing both the operator and Viator, and each one pointed fingers at the other.
After the experience, I read the Trustpilot reviews for GR8WAY and was horrified to see how consistent these complaints are – zero replies, terrible service, and countless stories like mine. It’s shocking that a platform like Viator continues to work with such an unreliable company.
I am now demanding a full refund for a service that was never delivered appropriately and will be escalating this issue further.
Avoid GR8WAY at all costs. If you’re booking something as important and sensitive as a visit to Auschwitz, do it through a reputable company that actually communicates and respects your needs.
Never turned up. Never explained. Never looked back.
This company did not pick us up from the hotel to go back to airport causing a great deal of stress and anxiety, inconveniencing hotel staff as they tried to help us. We attempted to contact Gr8way through landline, mobile and whatsapp, however they went completely dark on us. And have never contacted us since with an apology.
My first mistake was paying up front, meaning a company like this, with no integrity, would have no reason to bother turning up. My second mistake was not researching them beforehand, assuming that FindTransfers would only use reputable companies. However, Gr8way's score of 2.3 on Trustpilot is well deserved. There are plenty of other transfer companies and Ubers in Krakow, do yourself a favour and don't use this one. Consider yourself warned!

Scam Scheme - Avoid
This company scammed me and left me stranded at the airport after payment was made in full. Driver refused to drive us stating that a booster seat is required for our child. We had to find another taxi who drove us without the booster seat without a problem.
Avoid the hassle and book with a reliable company.

Please please do not book your auschwitz trip through this company. I wish I had read the reviews before my 4 day break to krakow was ruined. The main purpose of our trip was to visit auschwitz with my family and friends. My trip was booked for 15th September on the 10.10 tour. I paid viator on placing the booking. Several days before trip i contacted viator as I had not heard from tour company GR8WAY with pickup details. Viator informed me after several messages that we would be picked up at Queen boutique hotel at 9.40am. This didn't make sense as our tour was at 10.10am and the drive to auschwitz was 1.5hours. So I questioned this again. They then passed the buck to the tour operator GR8WAY who said would be in touch day before our tour. Something was worrying me and I had a bad feeling. Day before tour I messaged GR8WAY, heard nothing back. Lunch time I tried again and nothing back. 5pm i tried once more , nothing back. So I messaged viator explaining my frustration. They again replied and said collection would be queen boutique hotel at 9.40am . I could not get any sense out of viator. Then finally I heard from GR8WAY at 6pm saying pickup would be 3am at a different address. I felt physically sick and so upset. GR8WAY are supposed to inform you at least 12 hours before pickup time and it clearly states that, but to tell us at 6pm that there picking is up at 3am is unacceptable, plus auschwitz does not open until 7.30am. So I asked for refund instead. My family and friends were so disappointed and it ruined the last remaining day of our holiday. Viator now are saying it is GR8WAY that needs to sort the refund if they agree to it, but my argument is I paid viator when booking the trip so technically they should refund me . Read the reviews on GR8WAY trust pilot its absolutely shocking and viator still use them.

We booked our tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau back in May 25 through Love holidays, for a 10.10am hotel pickup.
The day before our tour we received a WhatsApp from Gr8way at 4pm confirming our tour but pick up was at 3.10am and pick up was 15 minutes walk from our hotel.
They do not reply to messages or answer phone calls.
Once arriving at 04.45am at Auschwitz we had a 5 hour standing wait as this tour company do NOT pre book tickets. We also had to go in a polish speaking tour as the English had sold out so didn’t understand any of the information.
The tour guide promised us all a guide book. There were 22 people on or trip and he only provided 6 guide books.
Absolutely awful. Please do not give this company your money!!!!

Next day they sent me a message saying changed to 4am. Museum opens at 0730 so no idea why as travel time is 1.5 hours. Just unprofessional !! Do not use them

Ich schließe mich allen anderen an. Ein Haufen Geld weg und ich rede nicht vom Ticketpreis. Die Enttäuschung und dann noch die Frechheit, dem Museum die Schuld zu geben.
Auf der offiziellen Seite des Museums stehen Informationen dazu. Ich war so dumm zu denken, externe Anbieter haben Kontingente.
Da das Museum gar nicht mit externen zusammenarbeitet, könnte man hier glatt Betrug unterstellen.

Will take your money and then no communication. Tried for days to confirm booking and pick up time, they don't reply to emails, messages or their phone. Then I got a text the evening before the tour to say it was cancelled, no explanation. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid absolute waste of time
I booked the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour through musement in November 2024 for 29/06/2025. On 11/06/2025 I received a WhatsApp message stating that there had been no tour guide arranged for 29/07/2025 and we could reschedule for
30/07/2025. I explained that we had actually booked for June, not July and we cannot reschedule for the day after as we are flying back to the U.K. I then received a message stating in that case our tour was still going ahead. I sent an email on 25/06/2025 to confirm pick up time and location. I was told I would receive confirmation the day before the tour. Today, 28/06/2025, I have had to send a message and an email at 5.30 as I still had not received confirmation. At 6.53pm I received a message stating that the museum has rejected their requests for a tour guide and that they have cancelled my tour.
This is completely false as we managed to book a tour through our hotel for the same day with no issues.
Avoid this company and save your money.

Booked a trip to Auschwitz, then they messaged to change the time to 3:55 in the morning and a different pick up location.
I was silly enough to agree as I didn't want to lose my money, and no one turned up at the pick-up point!
Viator refused the refund. So we missed the trip and lost £500 in the process.
Hats off to you to be fair - excellent scam you are pulling off! I've learnt my lesson...

We were completely let down by Gr8way the night before our scheduled Salt Mines and Auschwitz day tour — cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice.
There was no apology, no alternative offered, and no real explanation other than a vague mention of a “guide request” being rejected by Auschwitz — something they were clearly aware of and tried multiple times without success. Yet they still waited until the last minute to inform us.
Because of this, we weren’t able to find another tour in time, which meant missing out entirely on what was supposed to be the most important part of our Kraków trip — something we had planned our whole visit around.
Customer service was completely non-existent. I’ve sent multiple messages and haven’t had a single reply.
An absolute disgrace — avoid at all costs.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company! They promise you pick up at 8 o'clock. Then last evening you get message that due to problems in Auschwitz pick up will be at 4 o'clock far away from your hotel. Not even from hotel which you paid extra. Then you start to find out what is going on and you find out that you are scammed! No reservation is ever made and they just lie about problems from museum side. Even Auschwitz warns about these companies. So, you go there around 5:30 in the morning to queue for day's tickets. Ticket sales opens at 7:30 and maybe get a place for guided tour at 10 or 12 or even some at 14:30. Hours and hours waiting there because the company scams you and sells you basically overpriced transfer. Even taxi for three persons is cheaper. The worst part is that some people believe the company and blames Auschwitz for whole situation. Believe, that is is not true. This company scams you and tries to make you believe that the problem is museum. It is not.

Sitten sen oman opastuksensa saa jossain vaiheessa päivää. Odotusaika ulkona voi parhaimmillaan olla vain 3-4 tuntia, joillain on mennyt 8 tuntia. Mistä maksetaan? Käytännössä ryhmäkuljetuksesta. Halvemmaksi tulee varata itse liput ajalla ja ottaa taksi kuin maksaa tälle firmalle tyhjästä. Syyttävät tietysti museota jatkuvista perumisista, mutta mitään sellaista ei tapahdu. Se on osa heidän bisnestään, että näin toimivat joka kerta. Lippujahan ei saa mistään lyhyellä varoitusajalla ja selviteltiin hädissään vaihtoehtoretkeä. Ei niitä ole parin päivän säteelle mitenkään paitsi jotain tonnin maksavia. Huippuna tietysti firmaan ei saa yhteyttä. Eivät vastaa puheluihin. Viesteihin lopettivat heti vastaamisen, kun protestoin aikataulua ja kysyin, voinko saada rahani takaisin. Näinhän huijarit toimii. Yhteydenpito lakkaa heti, kun toinen ei osta sitä höpöä, mitä syöttävät.

Booked our tour with this company 2 months in advance of our trip. As we landed at 10pm I received a text confirmation of cancellation. No explanation... no further contact and no refund. We we due to travel the next morning at 8am. Absolutely shocking service, DO NOT USE. Please also be aware they use third party providers who have to do the explaining.

I had the Worst experience with this company avoid booking this company at any point, I have recently booked Auschwitz tour in back in February and they cancelled my tour last minute and also this company very rude once you try to contact them. I came and visited poland mainly to see Auschwitz and because of this company with there last minute plans me and my kids were not able to see Auschwitz because they cancelled this tour last minute.
