Just received my latest order from GTECHNIQ to refresh my stock, and as always, their products continue to impress. Among the items was the legendary C4 Trim Restorer—a truly remarkable solution that brings tired trim back to life. It’s not just hype; the results speak for themselves. My car’s exterior plastics now look factory-fresh.

I also picked up the C2 Ceramic Sealant, which has quickly become a favorite. It not only adds a brilliant shine to the paintwork but also provides solid protection against the elements. Easy to apply and incredibly effective .

Currently visiting my son in Maryland, who’s just bought himself a 12-year-old “fun car” with plenty of character (and a bit of cosmetic wear). He’s asked me to help him detail it, so I came prepared—packed a few trusty MF1 microfiber cloths in my luggage and pointed him to the American GTECHNIQ site to order the essentials.

Once his products arrive, we’ll be diving into a proper father-son detailing session. Can’t wait to see the transformation—and maybe pass on a few tricks of the trade while we’re at it.

I paid over £1300 to have my vehicle coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. Firstly, the product failed within the first couple of months and had to be re-applied. Secondly, it has just had it's first annual inspection (of a 9 year guarantee) and the product has failed again. The Gtechniq rep came to have a look at the vehicle and said I was responsible for swirl marks and had completely rubbed off the product, despite the fact I used a pre-wash, two bucket cleaning practice with the recommended cleaning mitt, followed by the shampoo they provided. Came out with some bull about there being a film not visible by eye which I've rubbed into the paintwork. I took it for an independent inspection with a company who have a fantastic reputation and they confirmed the product had failed. I contacted Gtechniq again and they are completely unwilling to do anything about it. My car is flat black paint and they say it is too soft for their product, but they failed to tell me this when I was paying the money. Avoid at all costs.
