Hewlett Packard's 5200 Series Is Discontinued!

Hewlett Packard is selling an All-In-One Printer, 5200 Series for which they have discontinued support! I found the identical product on Amazon for $319. but the advertisement does [not] tell the buyer the model and support ended 01/01/2024.

I bought the printer from HP for $74.00 in 2019. It has stopped taking print requests from my HP Laptop--the newest one purchased just a year ago in February.

I worked with a wonderful support tech for over an hour and they were unable to fix the problem. Finally, my call was disconnected. When I tried to reconnect (the agent gave me a ticket number and an email to get back to support) the system returned an error message: "Sorry, something went wrong on our end. Please try again later.

Okay. So I gave up and called Sales stating my model number, year bought, product ID, etc. asking for a similar item "with the same functionality." The salesperson countered with: "How much do you want to spend?" They had no idea I'd already spotted the same product on Amazon.

That response told me everything I needed to know about getting help as a long-time HP client. This entire experience has caused me to not buy from HP again.

There should be a "Discontinued item-no available support-Buy as is" disclaimer. There is none! So to anyone looking for a 5200 series HP printer (with built-in obsolescence) purchasing this particular item is advised against.

For the reasons stated, I will no longer purchase from this company. Further research after the phone calls revealed that HP has lost much of the respect it once enjoyed. Customers have lodged complaints about the products as well as poor customer service.

Note: I purchased and paid for (I have the receipts) an extra-Care Pak for the printer at the same time I bought the (refurbished) laptop from QVC. The agent handling the transaction [did not tell me[ the product was going to be phased out!

I called later in 2023 to ask a question about the printer malfunctioning and was told by a different agent "There will be no further support beginning 01/01/2024. No, I was not offered a refund or adjustment of any kind. So they have my money (I bought extra for three (3) years and I'm simply left with a non-working printer and payment for a service that was sold under suspicious circumstances.

Folks, be very careful dealing with HP directly. If you purchase from an online seller at least you'll have them to go back to. I'm closing this case with a warning to everyone. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Returning unused cartridges

They dont have a complaint process. I had to write a letter to their HQ and asked them to take disused and unopened cartridges back after supplying a new printer with different cartridges. They refused. Over £150 worth. Not an apology nor an offer to compensate. That sort of service is not worth one star

I like my laptop very much but the end of the battery life is approaching. Trying to contact customer service, HP support, online chat, whatsapp, or telephone support is impossible. Long waiting times, cut offs, repeated messages with apologies but no action: shame on you HP !

Poor Service HP Online Store Will not use HP online shipping ever…

Will not use HP online shipping ever again because of the following:
1 Late shipment receiving laptop because wrong tracking number was put on package. Many phone calls to find receiving shipment date.
2 Laptop did not wotk.
3 Over 20 phone calls, 20 texts and emails to find out how to return laptop.
4 Robotic call answering service named Holly was a roundabout. When I did reach someone I was told to call a different number. Robotic Holly answering again.
5 Wrong return shipping label. Third party shipping company said they had no record of my returned laptop and kept telling me to call FedX who had already delivered laptop to them.
6 More phone calls and emails to shipping company and HP.
7 False promises to refund purchase of over $500 after return.
HP said refund timing depended on my bank. My bank gives return credit from Amazon in a day.
8 Paying interest on credit card while waiting for refund after numerous calls to HP.
9 Still no refund after 5 to 10 day refund promise.
10 Hours spent on phone and PC trying to contact the right person.
11 Extremely poor service. Very poor communication with the customer. So many telephone numbers to call and only get robotic answering service named Holly. I don't want to buy any HP product again. This has been an experience of 2 months since Oct 11th. Advice would be study Amazon"s model of online customer service including returns.

HP Deskjet 2710e printer - disaster from start to finish

I purchased a HP Deskjet 2710e inject printer in February 2023. I bought my first Deskjet in 1995 and have bought a range of HP products since then. So a hardened customer. This item has been a disaster from start to finish and I've now put the printer in the dumpster.
1 The printer claims to only work when connected to the internet. What??!! I managed to fix that (bit of a work-around but whatever). I also _had_to install it using a smartphone as I use a Linux machine. Whatever. Using mobile broadband is a problem.
2 Ref using mobile broadband and a smartphone as the WiFi hotspot doesn't work: there is a bug in the HP smartphone app that means that this is broken. Work-around: use the HP Smart app on a different smartphone.
3 Having set the WiFi parameters on installation they are not easily changed, in fact possibly by only by doing a factory reset and re-installing.I have 2 smartphones since I am reliant on mobile broadband and there are not-spots. Different phone, different network name. So only 1 phone works with the printer.
4 This machine gobbles ink. The ink is VERY expensive. So I subscribed to instant ink. Disaster all round including issues with the hot spot and HP Smart. Printer rendered useless. Immediately cancelled the subscription.
5 Bought 2 more genuine HP ink cartridges from Argos. Bit of a disaster in its own right. The spec is 120 "average" pages per cartridge. First gave me 32 pages (of not very dense text) the second 14 pages of the same.
6 Went to buy a new printer from Currys. I noticed that Currys are selling off all the Deskjet 2710es in the sale. Interesting, that....
Into the dumpster with it and I will never buy anything from HP again. What a shame.

Good overall reliability and robustness

My Hp Pavilion dv6 note book is now 11 years old.
Although the hard drive is slow due to age, it has been reliable.
The motherboard failed within the first year hence the 4 stars. This was replaced free under the warranty.
I have increased the sd ram but I will fit a SSD hard drive soon, hopefully getting many more years from it.
When the time comes for a replacement, I will purchase the same model . Very good value for the price.

Trying to receive HP warranty SUCKS

Trying to receive HP warranty work is impossible. You CANNOT speak with anyone. Save yourself a lot of grief and toss your HP printer into the trash and purchase some other brand. I purchased an extended warranty which their system doesnt recognize (of course! You really cant get any help. NO MORE HP !

Support is so difficult time consuming my 2700 all in one showing orange light after using YouTube google I tried HP support.
Unable to phone all they offer is Bot or email frustrated all morning so binned printer got myself Epson happy.

I don't even know where to begin with…

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I very stupidly did not do my homework on HP as I just assumed they would have good products. I bought a laptop off them end of January 2023 which was delivered in February. The laptop is faulty and I had to sit on the phone line for two hours with them doing tests, these tests confirmed the laptop was faulty for which I have the screen shots. They picked it up, did nothing and returned it saying it was not faulty. The screen goes black with white lines and the keyboard does not work. I am now stuck with a £500 computer that does not work. They do not fall under any Ombudsman and stupid me for paying for it with Paypal balance so no help there. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. STEER CLEAR. THEY ARE SHOCKING QUALITY AND THEY JUST DO NOT CARE.

Subscription model gone wrong!

Why is just about every company ( HP, Yahoo, GM, etc ) trying to jump on the subscription model band wagon? Making me pay for printing on individual pages along with buying the paper and ink as well. Have Hewlett Packard their lost minds?!!! Subscription model doesn't apply here. I can assure you that I will never buy another printer from HP again!

umständliche Nutzerabwehr bei HP-Kundendienst

Im Januar 2023 habe ich einen nagelneuen und hochpreisigen HP ENVX X360 erworben.
Bereits im Juli 2023 funktionieren Sound und Touchpad, sowie der Touchscreen nicht mehr nach einem Windows Update.
Die Lösungen die HP auf seiner Produkt-Homepage angibt führen zu keinem Erfolg. Genausowenig ein Chat mit dem virtuellen Agent.
Ein Chat mit einem echten Mitarbeiter über Whatsapp zieht sich über Stunden, weil ich immer ewig auf eine Antwort warte.
Der Mitarbeiter gibt schließlich, nachdem ich einen halben Tag mit ihm verschwendet habe auf und gibt mir eine Hotline-Nummer.
Dort rufe ich an, und spreche mit einem Sprachcomputer der mich nur fragt, ob meine Handynummer, von der ich anrufe stimmt. Dann wird mir eine SMS zugesendet. Diese SMS führt mich zu einem Formular, wo ich das Problem, welches ich im Chat schon beschrieben habe nochmal auf 300 Zeichen beschreiben soll. Natürlich gebe ich auch alle anderen Systemparameter zum dritten Mal ein - nur diesmal, weil ich ja schon so oft die Gelegenheit hatte zu üben, wird es auf dem Handybildschirm die Schwierigkeit erhöht. Dann muss ich meine Nummer, die der Sprachcomputer in dem "Gespräch" zuvor richtig wiedergegeben hat nochmals per SMS bestätigen lassen und einen 6-Stelligen Code eingeben, weil sonst das Fehlerformular nicht abzuschicken geht. Jetzt warte ich auf einen Rückruf. Auf dem Formular hieß es 9 Minuten. Natürlich sitze ich jetzt schon weider seit 30 Minuten da und noch immer kein Anruf.
Dafür habe ich Zeit diesen Bericht zu schreiben.
Ah es klingelt. Toll keiner dran. Also rufe ICH zurück.
Jetzt warte ich und höre dem Sprachcomputer zu und tippe brav meine Nummern ein...
Dann nach 15 Minuten warten - eine menschliche Stimme. Nachdem ich meine Vorgangsnummer durchgegeben habe. "Sie sind leider in der falschen Abteilung gelandet." Ich kann also weiter den absolut unterirdischen Service von HP bewerten.
Umständlicher kann man es einem Kunden wohl kaum machen endlich mit einem Techniker das Problem beheben zu können...
Alles knapp 7 Monate nach dem Kauf.

Ergänzung: Nachdem ich dann circa 30 Minuten am Telefon gewartet habe, ist das Problem mithilfe des sehr freundlichen und kompetenten Mitarbeiters von HP in tatsächlich12 Minuten gelöst.
Warum eigentlich nicht gleich so?

I bought an Hp laptop from an authorised hp dealer where they promised me for giving 2 yrs warranty extension for which a payment of Rs.999 was made by me but the intresting thing is that they didn't extend my warranty and after calling several time to HP complaint helpline the are putting my calls on hold and simply disconnecting after few minutes. Such a pathetic experience wasn't expected from Hp. I am never gonna buy any products from Hp again in my life.

Don't buy a printer directly from HP!

Before purchasing my LaserJet Pro MFP M227 directly from HP on 4/15/23, I checked various reviews. Immediately before purchasing, I chatted with someone at HP who confirmed to me that the printer was wireless and that I did not need any cables. I did not receive the printer until ~ 5/1/22. I dragged the very heavy box up two flights of stairs which took me 2 days (I'm 70 and have a back injury). I unpacked it today (5/6/23) and it is not wireless - it requires a wired cable. After an incredibly slow chat with an otherwise nice agent, I was told the agent couldn't help me, and I had to call a phone number to receive a return label. The phone number doesn't work 24/7 - today is Saturday, and I have to wait until Monday just to get a return label. I am never buying anything from HP again--I should have bought this through Amazon, but HP was having a sale. I have just wasted two hours on this. I am very angry. My serial number is VNG3J39988. To make matters worse, I own stock in HP, and I've owned HP printers for years.

Sehr gute Beratung in Sachen Laptop für einen Flugsimulator für ferngesteuerte Flugmodelle. Ich war schon mehrere Wochen auf der Suche nach einem entsprechenden Laptop für einen Flugsimulator. Ich stellte meine Fragen bei mehreren Firmen bzgl. eines Laptops für einen Flugsimulator. Zwei gaben mir keine Antwort, eine andere Firma stellte mir Fragen, obwohl ich eine eindeutige Antwort auf meine Frage haben wollte. Die 4. Firma, meinte ich soll doch bei Ihnen auf die Workstation ihrer Homepage gehen und da selber nachschauen. Fachfragen bzgl. dieser Angelegenheit konnte von diesen angefragten Firmen nicht beantwortet werden, es kam wie gesagt entweder keine Antwort oder nur ein Link auf dem ich selber nachschauen soll, dass ist ein Unding. Meine Fragen wurden von hp ohne viel blabla beantwortet. Der Mitarbeiter ging auf meine Fragen ein, und ich bekam eine super Antwort auf mein Anliegen, dass ich von den anderen Firmen erwartet hätte. Sehr guter Service bei hp .

I have bought 3 Laptops from H.P & I bought the latest one 2 weeks ago & it cost over £700. Within a few days,in the middle of work, the screen suddenly went Blacc & nothing worked other than forcing it to shut down & start again. I contacted H.P support who have messed me about for several days with no solution. This Black screen problem happens daily & I have even sent H.P a photo of the screen. Terrible service from what is ''SUPPOSED'' to be a top company
