OMG! Need option to give zero stars! This company should be prohibited from doing business. Spent more than I want to admit and what I received is absolute garbage. They are NOT a U.S. company, took weeks to receive because overseas and nothing like represented. Stay away!!

I ordered two dresses from Harper and Wells. When they arrived that were poorly made with white machine stitching apparent on a pumpkin-colored dress. The fabric was cheap, thin, and shiny. They hide behind a fabricated Boston brand persona, but in fact their items are manufactured "offshore" - in China.
I immediately contacted Harper and Wells to return the dresses for a refund - their promotional material states a 30-day money-back guarantee. "Not satisfied with your purchase? No worries. You have 30 days after delivery to return your items and receive your money back. We believe in quality, and we want you to experience it risk-free." Not true! After going back and forth for a week, they will not accept the new items back and will only offer a 30% refund.
Shameful business practices - avoid at all cost.

Very disappointed with quality of these products. This company needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

I thought I was ordering from a company in Boston. The items were from overseas. I made the mistake of not looking them up otherwise I would have never ordered from them. It took a very long time to arrive and the quality was terrible. Looked nothing like the photos, clothing was so see-through, polyester, shoes were misshapen, soles were not stuck on properly, there was even a staple sticking out that poked my heel. It was too good to be true that they were discounting something that was originally $349.95 down to $69.95. I've asked for a refund but looking at the reviews it doesn't seem like it's going to be easy.

The photo of the top was completely different from the one I received in that in the photo it looked like it was a woven top and when I received it it was the pattern printed on very poor quality material and the material was very white on the inside in the photo there was no white material on the inside it is not worth the amount of money they charged for it and I would never ever purchase anything from Harper and Wells again ?

I would like to give zero stars. My wife ordered shoes which were definitely counterfeit. Absolutely no labels on the shoes, poor quality, and four sizes too small. Customer service offered a 10% refund and said I could keep the useless shoes, and also had the nerve to offer a discount on a future purchase. For a full refund they required me to ship shoes to their Netherlands warehouse at a cost of $40 - $60.Harper & Wells has a slick website but they are a scam. Avoid them like the plague.

AVOID Harbor & Wells Boston! Ordered orthopedic shoes with support for high arches. The shoes look like something you would find at The Dollar Store. Unbelievably cheap, extremely poor quality and absolutely no arch support. The breathable holes on the sides are completely closed off inside by a vinyl lining. I will ask for a refund, but don't expect it will come. AVOID!! I should have looked their reviews up first. I was desperate for supportive shoes so I could walk.

This website should be shut down. Do not order from this place. They do not give a full refund. They will bargain with you until you have no choice but to accept a portion of your money back and keep the cheap merchandise. The products likely come from China so you can't send them back. The word Boston in their name is a joke. They have no address within the United States. I repeat - DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.

I should have known better than to trust this site. The name is phony - they are a chinese based company with no Boston location. I ordered 2 shirts based upon pictures and 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee. Don't be fooled by the discount - the price is inflated 10 times the value. The shirts arrived weeks later from China and are not the same as the pictures, are youth sizes with no size on the label and stained. The quality is horrible.
The customer service is a scam. They require return to China and suggest return freight and fees exceed the cost and offer 15% money back.
They require pictures and make return impossible- no usa address.
This is a massive scam site and needs to be prosecuted and shut down. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING, check their record and reviews.

Final return answer - keep the shoes (that I wanted to refund because they don't fitand quality not up to standards) and we will give you 30% back of what you paid. That is what we can offer. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU KNOW THE PRODUCT.

None of the items were as pictured online. All were cheaply made and not sized correctly. BEWARE!

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes. Could have done a lot better at good will or Walmart. What a disappointment. Never order from them. Quality is so so poor. Waited 5 weeks for delivery. Must have came from china! One more scam! Company or what ever it is should be removed to all on line purchases.

Extremely poor quality material and trying to return the clothes and get a refund has been a nightmare! It is a total scam! Their "easy returns" claim on their website in actuality is the total opposite!
You email an info@ address and then they try to negotiate with you!! 10% refund and 20% off another item, then 20% refund and 20% off something from their site. If you insist on a full refund, they want you to pay $30 per item to ship it back to China. They will inspect the clothing and only then decide how much to refund you!!! TOTAL SCAM

Ordered a shirt advertised as XL for $155.84. What arrived doesn't remotely match their published size chart (which claims a 49.61" chest and 31.5" length for XL — and labels it "BUST" on a men's shirt, which tells you where these charts come from). Raising my arms exposes my stomach. The tag reads 95% polyester, Made in China.

When I requested a refund, support informed me — only after purchase — that returns must ship internationally to their warehouse in the Netherlands at my expense, "$30–50 USD per item." That cost and destination appear nowhere on their website before you buy. Their published return policy promises refunds to the original payment method within 30 days; I was within the window. Instead of honoring it, they offered me 10% back. When I declined, 20%. Then "100% store credit." Never the refund their own policy states. When I offered to return the item if they provided a prepaid label, silence.

Know what you're actually buying from: "Harper & Wells Boston" is registered as Zhang E-Commerce LLC. The listed Boston address is a residential building, not a store. Charges bill through a third-party processor as WHOP* from Georgia. The "clearance sale ends today" banner never ends. When I filed a platform dispute, the seller denied it within hours without addressing any evidence.

I've filed a chargeback with my card issuer and reports with the FTC and Massachusetts Attorney General. If you're reading this before buying: don't. If you're reading it after: dispute the charge with your card — their return process is designed to make refunds cost more than surrender.

The absolute worst company and specializing in ripping off the consumer. They are not a Boston clothing company- rather a drop shipping service from China. I will be reaching out requesting a seamless refund or we will report them the BBB , the FTC and consumer protection agency. People work way too hard for their money to be scammed by such dishonest advertising practices.

1) Delivery took 15 days!
2) Dresses were of very poor quality fabric,
3) Measurements didn’t match their online size guide
4) Website return policy states: "The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
5) Return & refund requested
6) Customer Service states that "there is a small shipping and processing fee of [$30], which covers handling, packaging, and priority fulfillment”

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!!!!

I am totally disgusted with this company. I never order shoes on line and this one time I took a chance, I waited too long to get the merchandise, only to find it in inferior condition. The shoes I ordered were dyed with horribly smeeling black dye. The shoes fit was irregular, and the worst part is the return policy. I am given a total run around, first I am not offered a full return which they advertise, then I am told it will cost over $50.00 to return the $70.00 shoes, and it will take a month to "process", the another e-mail tells me they'll offer me merchandise. This is bullshit! An honest company will refund your purchase price. I have had to put it in dispute with my credit card. I will never again order shoes online. This company is a bad trip. Even their phone number does not connect. It rings and then disconnects. Please do not waste your time and hard warned money with this poor company.

I ordered a pair of shoes and confirmed they had a 30 day window for returns before paying. When I tried to make a return, I was forced into a 5 day exchange with customer service where they offered store credit, 10% -30% refund, 25% off future purchase. I told them I wanted a return, per their policy, and a full refund. They then revealed that they operate “internationally” and returns would cost me $30-$50 (the shoes themselves were $70). Ultimately making it impossible to return the item for my money back.

I had to dispute with my credit card. Never order from this company. Unacceptable.
