I wish I had read these before I signed…

I wish I had read these before I signed up to a free trial. My child didn't get on wirh the apps and didn't use them. I think this is more to do with my son than the apps.

I thought I had cancelled the account beginning of August even though the trial was due to finish end of August. I did to see the renewal notification email sent on the Friday before the firat payment was due (Monday). However, I went on the parent account and cancelled Monday morning. I also clicked delete the account to ensure it wouldn't autorenew again on Monday morning. The payment as for the entirety of September so since i can beforw midday on the 1st September I was expecting a goodwill refund for the whole of September since I was obviously not going to be using this service.

But so far the person who answered my emails has refused as it was my mistake not theirs. Surely if you agree it is a mistake you should refund anyway.

Disappointing Customer Service and Refund Policy

I had a very frustrating experience with Hi Albert and their rigid refund policy. I was charged for an annual subscription renewal for an app that my family and I haven’t used in nearly a year. I noticed the charge almost immediately and reached out to their support team to request a refund, explaining the situation in detail. Despite my prompt action and the fact that we have no intention of using the app, they refused to issue a refund, citing their policy.

While I understand the need for policies, their complete lack of flexibility in this case is disheartening. As a loyal customer that stayed with them for one year even if my daughter didn't engage at all, who acted quickly and in good faith, I expected better. Being forced to pay for a service we don’t use and won’t use feels unreasonable and unfair.

I would not recommend Hi Albert to anyone who values customer service or expects a company to act with understanding and goodwill. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I will not be using their services again. Be aware to pay the annual service!

I wish i could give 0 point

I wish i could give 0 point. It wasn't really useful website and I find that the customer service also not really helpful at all, Lisa was dealing my issue with the payment when I had a problem with the monthly payment and I didnt receive the money back but unfortunately didn't find it helpful. You cant call them because they based outside of UK, its very hard to get them.
I didn't know about it. I am really regret it, my children didn't used it but i still paid it.

Poor App / Poor Customer service

App was offered free over the summer and then charged without any reminder.
Firstly my 8 year old used for about 20 mins - not great for his age range. App slow and some of the links didnt work. Also really odd dialect. Didnt use again as not fit for purpose.
Contacted when charged - poor customer service.
When this has happened before with Apple - always offered a refund but not with this company.
Wouldnt buy for poor product / poor customer service.

Technical issues and charged anyway

Had technical issues for over a month and couldn’t Log in. I cancelled the subscription but they said they would extend for a month as an apology then charged me the following month again. Awful and unhelpful.

Terrible app, service and company

I signed up for a trial and tried out the app. The app was having lots of issues so after struggling for a bit I closed and deleted it. Unfortunately after the trial they continued to charge you without any notice whatsoever.

Note that they charged you via their own app not through Apple so a bit fishy too. The charge comes from a Czech Republic company so don’t expect good customer service / protection as in the UK.

I contacted the company to ask for a refund due to the app issue and lack of usage, however this is NOT a customer first company so they insist on the charges. I will of course NOT use it or recommend it to anyone.

Charged £14.99 for a free trial!

I signed up for a ‘free trial’ and was charged £14.99 straight away, without any warning that this charge would be made. I have so far been refused a refund and will be taking it up with my credit card company. Be aware of this!
