Hitachi/Argos sort this outBought a Hitachi50HK6100UB Sept 2020…

Bought a Hitachi50HK6100UB Sept 2020 from Argos. Only had it 2years and 2 months (1 year guarantee) when the screen started playing up. Any letters or bright colours would be like a curtain going from top to bottom of the screen every 2 seconds. Hard to describe what is was like. Phoned up the Argos helpline and they talked us through a factory reset. No good and they said out of warranty so either get a tv engineer or new tele. After just over 2 years. We got an engineer to look at it and they said "there is a fault with the internal connections within the LCD screen and the only possible repair would be a replacement screen which is uneconomical" We have now bought a new tele not from Argos I should add. Sorry to say this to all the others who have reviewed but I don't feel so bad now. Thought it was our bad luck. I think it is disgusting and wrong we've all had to go through this. My next plan is to email Argos and Hitachi but from what I've been reading will not get any joy. Consumer Rights says 6 years so might investigate that. Order no from Argos 1511588536 on 9/9/20

Hitachi 58 Inch Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freeview TV screen suddenly started to bleed at the bottom right hand corner noticed a little orange dot , screen then flickered and next day was totally out, have complained on Hitachi website to replace or return money. Any use in approaching Argos??

Surprise surprise mines just gone after…

Surprise surprise mines just gone after buying about 2 years ago.
Starts with a small red block in the bottom right corner, then screen will buffer then screen just dies.
Planned obsolescence but Argos who partner with Hitachi also don't

Brought a tv. Less than 2yrs later screen dies! Will now have to buy a new one! Had other tvs last much longer. Do not buy this brand. Argos should eb ashamed to be linked with such a firm

Same issues that everyone else seems to be having. TV is less than 2 years old, bought from Argos around Christmas time and now dead. Turns on (can see backlight) but does nothing else. Hitachi 58HK6100U. Absolutely disgusting

Iv have a hitachi (58HK6100U A) tv and out of nowhere it’s just stopped working! The tv is on but no display at all! Iv tried a different hdmi cable and still no good. Out of all the bad reviews did anyone actually get their tv fixed?

Faulty TV

Faulty TV. I bought this Hitachi 58inch TV LED Ultra HDTV 58HK6100U from Argos, Uk last year and just a little over a year the screen went black. Just happened exactly as experienced by others in the reviews. First, the screen goes black, no picture but with sound on and then next day no sound and no picture, just dark screen. Very, very disappointing and waste of money. I wish I had read all these reviews before buying this TV. I will not recommend this TV to anyone.

Brought a Hitachi 58 inch from Argos. I had it for 18 months. All of a sudden lines apeared at the bottom and then the screen just went black . It has sound but no picture. Hitachi should be at fault for this after just 18 months is shocking. Don't buy this tv

Vergognoso un'azienda come Hitachi che abbandona i propri clienti così, magari non direttamente ma dare in mano la responsabilità di un marchio a un negozio come uniero di Taranto incompetenti un televisore di appena un anno forse meno con un difetto di Fabrica che nessuno ha il coraggio di prendersi in carico scarcandomi a me il problema

Bought hitachi 58inch tv from AO around 18 months ago, picture has been flickering for a few weeks, lines at the bottom of the TV, put it down to the HDMI cable not being connected properly. I was very wrong! Picture has completely gone now! Don’t buy!

Don't buy Hitachi 58 inch 58hk6100u

After just less than two years Hitachi 58 inch 58hk6100u packed in black like shadow sweeps in from the right side of the screen making screen go black also flickering at bottom of tv when first switched on don't buy Hitachi tv 58hk6100u or Any other Hitachi tv giving the rest of the reviews on here disappointed but after nearly two years warranty has gone so I've lost out.

Hitachi TV 58' white screen & lines

This is quite unbelievable that every review is basically about the same 58" TV all regarding the faulty screen happening between 12 -18 months after purchess and like my TV came from Argos but the culprits are Hitachi who must be aware that there's a major fault within that model & size TV that happens within 6months of the warranty running out. Hitachi don't seem to keen on replying to reviews so perhaps Trading Stands mite help as it's not a random fault ever review is for the same model Hitachi 58" tv

I wouldn't give 1 star but after getting tv fixed it has went blank again and have discovered all these tvs were faulty and I'm getting no satisfaction from Argos or Hitachi.So Don't buy Hitachi tvs they go blank after few months and you get no satisfaction

It looks like is the same story. Bought a Hitachi 58 Inch Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freeview TV 18 months ago, and a couple of weeks ago while watching a film the screen turned black, however there was sound. Tried to contact Argos and Hitachi, but because is out of warranty they will not do anything. They've advised to get a report done on the TV, but it feels like there is no point going down that route. I was thinking to get it fixed, but I might fix a part and than a different one might appear. The problem is investing lots of money, replacing the faulty part and than the one that caused the issue will/might damage the new one.
Now I can only try to sell it for a few quid. We've got a Sony, it's about 7 years old, and man, that is a good quality TV.
Never buy a HITACHI, unless you are offered 5 years warranty and get another 5 on top of it. But be ready in under 2 years or less you'll get the same 'good' quality.... learned my lesson...
