Deeply disappointed with HomeLane – poor execution, non‑existent warranty, and unsuitable materials
I regret choosing HomeLane as THE company for my home interiors. From execution to after‑sales support, my experience has been consistently poor, and their much‑advertised warranty has, in practice, felt completely non‑existent.
During the initial discussions, the sales team made strong promises about quality materials, professional execution, and a solid long‑term warranty. They specifically highlighted HDHMR and “premium ply” as durable, moisture‑resistant options that would be ideal for Indian homes and weather conditions. In reality, what I see installed in my home does not reflect those claims. Despite normal household use, I have faced issues such as warping, peeling, swelling and misalignment which should not occur so early (1 year into the completion) if the materials and workmanship were truly of the standard they promised.
I would also caution others not to get carried away by HomeLane’s impressive 3D mock‑ups and virtual walkthroughs. These visualisations look fantastic on screen and are very persuasive, but they can create expectations that the final execution does not match in terms of finish, detailing, and material quality. Most of us end up getting hooked by these glossy renders, only to realise later that what is actually installed in our homes feels like a poor imitation of what was shown during the design phase.
The most frustrating part has been the warranty and service response. When I raised the issue, instead of owning responsibility, the company representatives focused on finding reasons to deny the claim – blaming “site conditions”, “humidity”, or “misuse” rather than acknowledging defects in material choice or installation. The way the warranty is implemented feels designed to avoid responsibility rather than to solve the customer’s problem. For all practical purposes, the warranty might as well not exist.
I also had a very unsatisfactory interaction with their local representative, Mr. Suraj Nagina. His approach seemed more focused on proving that the problem was “out of warranty” than on understanding the actual defect and resolving it.
Given that HDHMR and similar engineered boards are widely marketed as being specifically developed for Indian humidity and moisture conditions, it is extremely disappointing to see them fail so quickly in a normal residential setting. Either the quality of the boards used was poor, or the way they were selected, processed, and installed was not appropriate for the realities of Indian homes. In any case, as a customer, I am left with substandard results and no meaningful support.
Overall, I feel that HomeLane did not honor the spirit of their commitments – whether in terms of execution quality, material suitability, or warranty support.
I would strongly advise potential customers to be extremely cautious: get every promise in writing, scrutinize the detailed warranty terms, and do not let yourself be swayed solely by attractive 3D renders and presentations. Personally, I regret using HomeLane for my interiors and would not recommend them based on my experience.
I recommend not to go with Homelane
I recommend not to go with Homelane. Their cancelation policy is worst. Initially they promised" No question asked policy ". When I cancelled the booking they showed their true color. Many questions were asked. I got my refund after a month of cancelation after making hundreds of calls/messages/mails...My advice think 💯 times before booking with Homelane.
Lack of Professionalism by Homelane
I initially chose Homelane because the salesperson was extremely convincing. But the experience changed completely after the booking amount was paid and the cancellation window ended.
Their true colours showed later—very unprofessional customer handling, despite charging a hefty project management fee. They strictly follow milestone‑based payments, but the way they demand payments feels as if they’re doing the customer a favour rather than offering a service.
Their pricing is also significantly higher compared to other players. I paid 5% as a booking amount, and as expected, it’s non‑refundable now that the cancellation period is over.
My advice: Read the terms and conditions very carefully before committing to Homelane.
Dear new home buyers,
Dear new home buyers,
If anyone is planning to go with HomeLane for home interiors, please think twice.
You’re welcome to visit my home and see the poor product quality and pathetic service firsthand.
Delays, false promises, and zero accountability.
My honest advice: avoid HomeLane. A good local carpenter is far more reliable and value for money.

Worst interiors company I received 3…
Worst interiors company I received 3 colours on a single tv panel which they refused to fix. Hob agreed in design was different from installed sink was forgotten we needed to procure ourself skirting for kitchen is missing after 3 months of installation as their factory has issue
From my experience
From my experience, the initial quotation is usually prepared based on your stated budget. However, once you move into the design phase, the costs can rise by almost 50% even if your requirements stay the same. This can be surprising and frustrating because the final price ends up much higher than the first estimate.
Another point to note is that HomeLane asks you to freeze the booking amount before the scope and costs are fully confirmed. This means you’re financially committed without complete clarity, which can feel premature.
If you’re planning to go ahead, I’d recommend asking for more detailed upfront quotations, clear explanations of possible cost changes, and making sure booking commitments are tied to confirmed value delivery. This will help you avoid surprises and feel more confident in the process.

There is no option to give less than 1 Star ,so I am give this start to show my worst experience in HomeLane, Whitefield,Bangalore, India.

This is to bring to your attention that no official handover took place for my project, as the assigned work was not completed and the pending issues were never addressed. Despite this, I am now being informed that the project was marked as completed in 2024.
Now they are reduced my warranty period and no response over mail or call.
Really poor service, not going to recommend any one

I was excited to try their service but ended up disappointed. The delivery team dis not handle the items carefully, and I noticed dents on my new dining table. When I reported the issue, they offered only a partials fix instead of a proper replacement. For the price I paid, I expected much better treatment and professionalism.
Not the worst purchase I've made but…
Not the worst purchase I've made but definitely not worth the money. Delivery was later than promised and the staff seemed untrained during installation. The furniture does function, but small issues like loose screws and uneven panels make it hard to feels satisfied. The company needs to improve their quality checks and train their service team better.

The ordering process was smooth at first, but everything after that was a problem. The furniture arrived late and the packaging was in bad condition. Some parts were scratched and I had to request replacements. While the designs looks good online, the actual build quality is average at best. Customer support answered eventually, but it took a lot of effort to get a solution.
I had Very bad experience with Home…
I had Very bad experience with Home Lane ( Coimbatore)..My sincere advice to everyone, never go with home lane for any of your interior requirements.
I requested quote initially for the entire house and after taking my requirements they came up with xx lakhs. To start the design they asked to pay 5 percent, I paid..then to come for measurements another 5 percent after measuring..I reduced my requirements to only kitchen but they went with design for every room and finally I can decide what I need. Then they gave a final quote.. during this time I have got a chance to see their end product in one of friends house ( they had a big story to tell about Homelane) then I decided for the amount I paid I just ask them to do only one part of kitchen , for that they refused..and because "
Hi sir/ma'am,
Your request to send only the kitchen for production is currently not feasible. We will need to discuss this with the management team to obtain the necessary approvals. This may take some time, and we will update you once we have clarity so we can plan the masking accordingly. Also depending on the production date handover dates will vary."
Now I decided not to go with Homelane and working with our local carpenter.
They are not ready to refund the amount 😕..I still working with them to get my hard earned money. It's your right to change any part of the project based on your budget and affordability. There is no one can force to get everything and pay the amount quoted in quotation ( quote is not a written order).
So never trust them..and get cheated.
please work with your local small interior design and with local carpenter.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Homelane. After taking the full payment, they delayed the delivery and still did not complete the work on time. The quality of the product delivered is far from what was promised and shown during the sales process.
The wardrobe alignment is poor, despite proper measurements being taken in advance. The overall finishing and quality are not up to the mark. To make matters worse, their follow-up and customer service are extremely bad—nobody is reachable or accountable, and getting updates requires constant chasing.
I would not recommend Homelane to anyone looking for timely delivery, good quality, or professional service.

Poor work quality, frequent miscommunication, and misguidance . .The execuites is illletrate .. .Worst ever experience .
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with this company.
From the very beginning, the sales approach was extremely high-pressure. I was pushed to sign up on the same day of enquiry with promises of easy EMI and flexible payments, none of which turned out as explained. Once I committed, the story changed.
The architect handling my project was changed suddenly without informing me, and the replacement ignored my requirements while forcing her own designs. There was no consistency or accountability in the design process.
Despite being promised “flexible payment timelines,” I was harassed with multiple calls every week for payments. Once the order went into production, the pressure increased further, completely opposite to what was committed at the start.
The inventory and site coordination process was chaotic. I was given conflicting delivery timelines, sometimes verbally promised within 2 days, while the app showed a different date. Even worse, when I finally managed to get a site visit after repeated follow-ups, I was told that delays were due to an “incorrect address,” an absurd excuse after I had already provided my address multiple times.
The most frustrating part is that there is no independent customer grievance system. Complaints are handled by the same staff responsible for the issues, which means nothing is ever resolved fairly. This left me feeling helpless, harassed, and mentally exhausted after making full payment.
My honest advice: Please think twice before committing. The glossy marketing and initial promises look good, but the execution and accountability on the ground were completely missing in my case.
I had taken their service for my house…
I had taken their service for my house hence referred them to my mother. Firstly, my referral bonus was rejected which was hilarious as the reason given to me was it was referred by an employee.
Secondly the service provided this time was bad and needed multiple reminders. simple things like debris cleaning, handles not installed, filling with silicon for all the gaps, etc etc was a major challenge. they installed complete crockery unit without handles or push to open which made it impossible to open the unit.
They even sent a different wallpaper but kept arguing theta the code is the same hence replacement will not be done. I am not sure what went wrong but the sample i saw in the showroom and the one sent are totally different in color, patter and design.
On the whole very bad experience this time. I believe their quality and service has gone down. I would not recommend them again to anyone.
Nightmare
Hi Guys,
I am astonished to see its 4.6 starred review in google. In a single line; please don’t fall into their trap. This is one of the most unprofessional institution that I have encountered in my life. I had booked an under construction flat and had just started visiting interior services for my flat. In home lane they created a situation that the offer they r giving is d most lucrative one and of u don't book today then no one will entertain u ever again here. They created a WhatsApp group with their GM, director and what not for any assistance who will never be of any help when required. They offered 42% discount on their already overpriced quotation. I went ahead with the booking and paid 59,000 as their booking amount stating the situation of under construction flat for which they said that in case f delay in flat possession they will compensate with store credit where I can purchase any household items. It’s s been 7 months and still I am awaiting my flat’s possession. So last month I contacted them regarding the same. To my shock they stopped replying to my messages. No one picked my call. When I visited there, then I was assured that they will get back to me with any response. But nothing. I emailed for which they replied to me for assured assistance but still nothing. They are a bunch of the most unprofessional, cheaters whose work is to trap u anyhow. One f my colleagues who got his work done also had a horrible experience with homelane. I will try get his review as well with all the photos and other proofs. Any carpenter’s work is better than Homelane’s. They will tell u regarding their 45 days delivery, bond paper and all every word f which will never be complied to. Quotation will be given to u taking most cheapest material which they will ask u to feel at the final stage and when u select better material they will raise ur quote by 40-50 %. They will waist minimum 10% of ur space just because their so called modulars need to be packed properly. Their modulars and ur measurements have no connections. Most f the materials will not match ur expectations at the time f delivery for which if u contact them they will simply ignore u. U can try calling them 100 times simply they will block u.
So one liner please, please and please keep a proper distance from them and please dont fall into their trap as that will be one f ur biggest regreof ur life as they will ruin ur interior completely.
Home lane works on how to Cheat Customer
Home lane works on how to keep customer money and cheat to then . they don't respond to customer and if you ask any question they will block you because they don't have answers for their wrongdoings . I have all proofs of how they have troubled us still they want money form us plz don't give nay work to them they don't deserve
Dont go with Homelane
Dont go with Homelane, never ever. Their so called designers visited my home for false ceilling and wooden work purpose. I have flex light holes on the celling. They completely ignored these wholes during false ceilling design and none of the holes are being covered by gypsum plates. And now they are proposing me to block those holes with cement and putty, for damage control.
