Registering for an ABN is free
Honcho makes you think you’re on the official ABN registration site and charges you $99 for registering.
If you have fallen for this scam, call your bank, what Honcho is doing is fraud. My bank refunded my $99 and your bank will probably refund your $99 too.

Simple process, helpful consultant

Nikki was very knowledgable, and I now feel more confident with something i hadn't a clue about before.

Like others, I unwittingly applied for an ABN, thinking the Honcho site (first hit on google) was an official website of ASIC. Have been charged $100 for what is free via the proper ATO site. Deceptive, misleading and unethical. I am appealing/awaiting refund. They make the appeal process deliberately difficult with call transfers and written requirements. Have reported this to the ACCC and will communicate more broadly in socials. Will update on any progress. Update: after raising the issue and numerous follow-ups verbally and in writing my fee was refunded.

awesome chatting and help from Nikki, but i found out I didn't need to pay $149 for abn after I paid it and a heap more to register a business name
