We borrowed the money so that we can carry out some renovations to our newly acquired house. We didn't want to touch our investments at this stage as these were affected by the Covid -19 downturn.
The lending process was as painless as can be. Fiona made the process easy to understand and we thank her for that.
The interest rate charged is higher than what a 'normal' mortgage would cost. But these were not available to us at our age (73). We are now enjoying the changes to the house and are not concerned about the repayments.

Fiona Novara went through the process of explaining the Household Capital product clearly and professionally. All pros and cons were outlined and our questions were answered clearly. Our questions on other Reverse Mortgage products were addressed in a straightforward manner while highlighting the advantages of Household Capital did not overly criticise the other product. We found the Household Capital product flexible enough for our needs as we use "on demand" drawdown to access funds as we need them.

Such a good experience. Very happy with all the help I was given and the process was so easy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a reverse morgage.

From application to Loan approval the experience was seamless.
It has been a long, long time since our last application, you can imagine how many changes have come about.
During the zoom interview, you can ask any question no matter how stupid they appear to be. All questions are answered with a full explanation and gone over again if there is any misgivings. Your are contacted if there is any query with your financials and help is given, where possible, to assist you with the answers.
We can't speak highly enough of the staff with the excellent assistance they have provided.

Let us start this review by thanking Fiona Navarro for her assistance and advocacy through the process of gaining our loan through Household Capital. Her dealings with us would merit a 5 star rating.
However, while it was understood that there would be an incurred fee in setting up the loan we feel that there should have been an early reference to other fees that could be incurred such as the borrowers solicitors fees.
This concern is not major but does point to a process that is only slightly less than a 5 star process.
We thank Household Capital in providing us with a more comfortable lifestyle.

Fiona was absolutely wonderful, helpful and always prompt in responding to e-mails.
The only problem I had was a delay in the processing toward the end, otherwise everything else was really well handled.
