Our lives have been made far more enjoyable knowing that we can now afford to live thanks to Household Capital. Staff we very helpful throughout the experience explaining every step very professionally. Would highly recommend this Company to anyone who finds the need to establish some funds during this very harsh economical climate.

Normally, I think taking out this loan would be a reasonably easy process. Unfortunately, I faced the delays, I'm told were caused by Covid, combined, I'm again told, an overwhelming demand on their services. Managing to have the loan approved therefore took a very long time, which caused me much frustration and some difficulty. Having said that, Kate, the representative with whom I mainly dealt, tried her very best to make things happen.

The application process is thorough and safe. No hurry or pressure to decide there and then. Each step clearly explained and all questions addressed. A helpful equity (computer) forcast / assesment report produced which provides a reasonable worse/best case projection. Protected through legislated safeguards. However, the interest rate for this type of mortgate is (unfairly) high when compared with normal mortgage rates. Its business, weighted toward the lender, but definitely a benefit in retirement as far as peace of mind goes.

Very happy with the service received from Household Capital. Esther was always pleasant and professional with prompt and helpful responses to all our questions. I couldn’t recommend more highly.

Made their standard online appointment for a phone call. It never came, nor did any message as to why it didn't come. Phoned them - no apology from their staff member. Offered another appointment then call dropped out, which puzzled me.

Now I've booked online another call. Let's see if their communication is reliable and makes sense this time.

The second online appointment - with the same agent - was also missed. (He was away.) My subsequent call was responded to rapidly and now my application is processing satisfactorily in the normal manner.

The process began with a zoom interview and seemed as though things would go well. Documents were requested and sent and queries answered. Everything appeared to be going well but it was difficult to reach them. Emails were not answered. Then a strident Kate Crosby called to ask about past transactions. She then informed me that my loan might be declined without telling me why. I tried to get in touch with her again but she was never available. My call was eventually answered by a man who said he was the bearer of bad news. My loan was declined. The communication was third rate and the attirude appalling.

Straightforward process, with plenty of help and assistance. Recommended

From my first contact with Kate Crosby to the conclusion of the process, I cannot speak highly enough of the service I was provided. A mortgage loan is a daunting decision, but all the consultants I had contact with made the process that much smoother. No matter what information I needed there was always a friendly and efficient voice at the other end of the phone. I cannot understate the relief both Sue-Ellen and I feel at the moment. I would like to thank in particular both Kate and Natalie for there support and guidance through this process. If your circumstances dictate, Sue-Ellen and I have no hesitation in recommending this Company. If I could give more than 5 stars I most certainly would. Having started the calculator, I found that when I put in my postcode of 2550, I was told that this area is not serviceable! This is the BEGA NSW LGA which includes the far south coast! Unbelievable!! Are you still in the nineteen hundreds? Or is it because we voted Labor?? What a kick in the guts of retirees. I suppose if I lived on the North Shore I would not have a problem! Thank you for nothing Federal Government!

i own my home and now reverse mortgage so that my kids are lumbered with debt once im gone? no way parasites. imagine your kids trying to break into the property market aswell as paying your debt. no way! thats criminal!

This was such an easy process. To have your own personal person to deal with through out the process and the person will be with you going forward in future for any changes you may make.

Whilst this is a good product, be aware this is interest on interest.
In this economy the interest rate of 4.95% is way to high.
In this economy the interest rates for a normal Mortgage are around 1.95 to 2.50% and not compounding. So why are Pensioners paying more and with compounding interest?
You can pay the interest each week, fortnight or month but if you are only on the Age Pension you will struggle. We pay the interest fortnightly but we do struggle and at only 70 and 71 years young we could be around for a number of years and that's a lot of interest.

Household Capital has developed an exceptional product for retired people on superannuation/pension. (Banks have no interest in us) This product has remarkable flexibility and charges only arise as you draw money down from the loan. You can set up the loan at no cost to provide funds at a later time. Customer service is first class. Esther, our contact, could not have been more helpful. She clearly explained the product and made sure that we knew what we were doing. She showed real interest in our situation and happily answered all our numerous questions. 5+ stars

I have found Household Capital to be an extremely professional, obliging company to deal with. All aspects of our business dealings with them were explained fully and in detail so that all information was easily understood.

I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody requiring their services, with Fiona and Rachel, both a pleasure to deal with.

We had an excellent experience with Ester who looked after our loan. This was customer service ( Hard to find this now) at its best.We are not up to speed with technology & Ester was very patient & caring.

I found all of the staff that I had dealings with from Household Capital to be very courteous, they listened and made suggestions where applicable. Nothing was a bother to them, they are very customer orientated which is becoming less of a priority in today's society.
I found Esther Angrisano to be particularly great to deal with, her whole approach was very professional and she went out of her way to make sure that all facets of the application and approval were made easy.
Would absolutely recommend your company to anyone looking for this product.
