Exceptional service provided by Fiona and her crew. Nothing was too much trouble, with any questions that I had answered promptly.

The thing that stood out for us was the communication. This was delivered as promised. When they said they would ring they did. The calls and the initial zoom meeting was friendly and honest. All questions were answered in a very professional manner. We were hesitant to go down this path but we were delighted with the attitude of the staff. There was no pushing of the product just good informative information.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this organisation.

I found my experience with Household Capital to be most pleasant. Fiona was just so helpful and understanding and I appreciated her knowledge and friendly approach very much. However, I have had a problem with ‘Register’ which was solved only this morning by Sue. A problem with my Account still remains. Hoping this can be resolved ASAP. I would recommend HHC to family and friends.

We can only speak in glowing terms about the service we received from Household Capital. Their representative, Esther Angrisano worked with us in a very personable yet professional manner. From the beginning we were made to feel that she "was on our side" and would try her best to help us in any way she could. It was evident from the start that she was extremely knowledgeable about the product offered by Household Capital. We did our homework and found that they were a great organization to meet the needs of some retired people who have equity in their homes and would like to use this to enhance their retirement.

Right from the beginning, my experience has been a positive one. I was unsure as to whether a Reverse Mortgage would be right for me and had many questions and concerns. Esther addressed every one of them with knowledge and honesty. And although at times I was confused and requested clarification of matters she had already explained, Esther was always helpful and patient.
The process is simple and there's a focus on personal contact, which was very much appreciated with such a serious financial decision. Everything was clearly explained with step-by-step instructions to follow.
I can't recommend Household Capital highly enough. Their personal approach and committment to their clients is reassuring and I know that taking this step will make a huge difference to my life from now onwards.

Following my completion of the Calculator on Household Capital's website on 2nd Feb, I had a telephone interview with Esther Angrisano on 5th Feb when all the necessary details of my situation were gathered. A number of documents were then sent and returned and I was kept up to date on progress throughout. A valuation of my property was arranged for 1 March and I ran the Loan Contract past my solicitor shortly afterwards. Settlement took place on 10 March.
The total process was completed efficiently and professionally by all from Household Capital with whom I dealt, with special mention to Esther who was my principal contact person throughout.

The honest answer is 3.5 stars - just!
First - the customer service/relationship/communication was five star. Esther Angrisano would have to be one of Household Capital's best assets - professional, friendly, personable, responsive, knows her products, and a delight to work with. Her assistant Raechal was equally so, but we only exchanged a few emails with her.
Second - we have referred another older couple to Esther, so have confidence in the HC company.
Third - Denton's appear to be some faceless, mostly automated legal entity with few observable personal, service orientated or communications capabilities. Three weeks after forwarding signed and witnessed documents back to Dentons (Sydney), they are still sending automated, follow up messages every Friday. God knows how elderly, semi-literate (legal or IT) people manage? recommendation - engage your own HC in-house legal team; and pair them with customer service. Rating re legal - two.
Finally, having to request a signed internal letter, committing significant financial agreement differences from the standard contract, was concerning, contradictory and less than professional. We are still uncomfortable with this, when the appropriate clauses in the contract could have been readily edited to confirm our agreement. Someone dug their heels in and we had to come up with a solution. We nearly walked away and would have without Esther's added support.

HC has a great product and a potentially massive market - no doubt fully appreciated. However, the legal and semi-legal documentation content and processes between the customer service/sales interface and final approval, can definitely be improved.

We will observe from the sidelines.

Esther was very thorough and honest in explaining the details of the loan.
