I found Household Capital to be very helpful and has relieved a lot of stress for me, deciding that I didn't have to sell my house to see us through retirement. Everyone I dealt with at Household was veery helpful, particularly Chris Moutzikis. From my very first call to Chris he has helped me all the way.

After contacting Household Capital I received a phone call from the amazing Esther Angrisano.
Esther explained and helped in very concise terms when replying to questions and helping me understand what my loan entailed from me and what Household Capital would supply and support.
Esther is very easy to understand and is the friendliest financial person I have ever encountered, nothing was too much trouble and when my solicitor was concerned about a legal issue and contacted Esther direct she sorted the issue out with no drama.
I would reccommend any one wanting a reverse house loan to deal with Household Capital, especially if they can have Esther as a consultant.

I was very happy with how well Esther Angrisano explained everything to me. I also was happy that everything could be transacted online, given the COVID19 situation. Everything happened reasonably promptly and the paperwork was straightforward.
My only concern would be not for myself but for others of my age who might have found the computer work challenging but obviously, when the pandemic is no longer a problem, this will be overcome. Thanks to all concerned.

The initial contact with Sue was pleasant and very professional. Then came my interview with Chris who was extremely helpful and understanding to my situation without judging.

Disappointed with the valuation but it was during Covid19 so I guess the valuer want to cover his backside. Just was so far off base, so that was disappointing. If he was right then Australia is in for a tough time!

I had a retail store offering Image Consultancy. Decluttering Wardrobes and Downsizing for 26 years, closing it a 3 years ago and now working from home.
I love my work but was wondering how long I would need to work to support a good lifestyle.
I receive an aged pension, and a small wage from my business. I did my research and checked with Centrelink to be sure a reverse mortgage wouldn't affect my pension, which it won't.

I didn't want to dip into my super and unless I really curbed my expenses and travel to a minimum things didn't look too bright.

My application was accepted and approved just recently and with this top up
I have a safety net, making me feel much more comfortable about my decisions in the future. I already have made some improvements to my apartment. Loving it.

My experience from day 1, to making a general enquiry a to how this "Reverse Mortgage" thing works, was answered in quite clear and precise terms.
Since then, there was no "Hard Sell" to obtain my business.
Any queries that I had (there were several) were always answered directly, up-front, and in clear terms that I could understand.
There was No Push to accelerate my doing business with Household Capital. (I hate to be rushed into situations such as this.)
