This is a great course run by real people who are contactable and love the language. I was drawn to it by Hugo’s podcasts. I love how the course is planned, it’s immersive, it’s relevant and the huge bonus is, that once purchased it’s there forever. It’s regularly updated and is an excellent tool for revision. It’s certainly encouraged me to continue to learn French.

I obtained my DALF C1 diploma a few years ago, but I needed to review some common mistakes, refresh my grammar, and improve my listening skills. This course really helped me to do that. Since it was so interesting, I ended up immersing myself completely in it. I really enjoyed the course. Hugo is an excellent teacher and made me understand why French is such a fascinating language. It’s also interesting that French people love to debate important subjects.

I read a recent negative comment, but please don’t take it seriously. People tend to be quite extreme these days. Hugo always provided different perspectives, including both positive and negative aspects of a subject in the class.

As I am currently living in Paris, I look forward to completing the C1 course. I really hope InnerFrench will eventually offer more C1–C2 content in the future. As someone who truly wants to master French, I still struggle with some complex issues. That’s the drawback of taking so many courses in life—you sometimes realize there are still gaps.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this course. However, I should point out that it does not include conversation classes, as already mentioned on the website.

Gut aufgebaut, die richtige Menge an Hören, Schreiben, grammatik und Tests. Aber ich habe den Kurs nicht in 30 Tagen gemacht, sondern ein halbes Jahr dafür gebraucht. Das ist gut, dass man das Tempo selbst bestimmen kann. Einige Lektionen will ich noch mal wiederholen. Hat mur immer Spaß gemacht.

I have finished two courses on InnerFrench - Build a strong core followed by Raconte ton histoire. Both are very useful and interesting. They explain grammar in a clear way, give some exercises, and what is really cool that the lessons are just interesting.
What's really unique and very practical, is that you have unlimited access to these courses. I went back to redo them after more than a year break when I had to prepare for an exam.
I also like a lot podcasts of InnerFrench, by the way! All program is highly recommended if you want to learn language and have fun

It’s a good podcast for learning French. But it should be clear that this person is not impartial—very woke and left-leaning. Always pro-vaccine, pro–big government, pro–high taxes, and constantly justifying equality at all costs (everyone equally poor). It’s the same old garbage you can hear anywhere, always seeking out information that fits their narrow view of life. A real shame

Merci pour tous tes emails. Tu parles lentement et les mots sont bien prononcés. Je trouve que je comprends 90% au moins de chaque episode. Cependant c'est plus difficile pour moi de parler ou écrire avec aise et correctement. Le conjugation des verbes que j'ai appris a l'école il y a beaucoup des années sont oubliés, mais je suis certain que je peux améliorer si je continue d'écouter et de pratiquer les phrases difficiles dans les episodes. J'ai essayée plusiers d'autres podcasts mais ils ne sont pas de tout si professional que les tiennes.

I recently finished the Build a Strong Core program. This is a great program for intermediate level learners. The course includes a helpful mix of videos, vocabulary and grammar. If you're on Quizlet, there are also flashcards set up for the course. I also learned a lot about French history, geography and culture through the course and Hugo gives great tips on other resources to continue to improve your French. Highly recommend!

It was really helpful for progressing with my French. The course provided not only an overview of common grammar challenges, but also insights into the culture and history of France and the French-speaking world.

While taking the course, I also used other learning resources such as Duolingo, podcasts, and one-on-one speaking lessons

Je viens de finir le Build the Strong Core B1 programme et ça m'a beaucoup aidé pour améliorer mon français. Je le recommende à ceux qui se sentent peut-être un peu perdus dans leur apprentissage en français et qui ont un niveau intermédiare.

I had been learning French since August 2024 and didn't feel that I was progressing until I took the Build A Strong Core course. Hugo is an excellent teacher with a great story telling ability. The strategy of drawing grammar lessons from stories told makes for easy comprehension. Thanks Inner French!!

I recently completed the Build a Strong Core course and really enjoyed it. I liked the mix of content about French society and grammar lessons. I found the exercises and quizzes helpful to reinforce material learned. It was super helpful knowing that I could take as much time as needed to review the material even after completing the course as access doesn't expire. Given that completing this course was tied to a SMART goal at work for me, I added an evaluation component to measure my progress. I took a French placement test from Algonquin College before and after completing the course and it helped me move up from B1 to B2 CEFR level. I'd recommend this course to anyone who would like to continue learning French at their own pace.

The podcasts are very interesting and accessible, educational beyond just teaching French. The Build a Strong Core course is a great complement to the podcasts, and provides a depth and breadth of grammar and usage that I found really helpful in synthesizing podcast and other content (including other learning platforms, like Pimsleur and Babbel), where this kind of detail is either subtly peppered into learning or treated fairly superficially. I know I will continue to refer back to some of the reference materials for a long time!

I really enjoyed this course! "Raconte ton histoire" offered a great variety of listening comprehension exercises and grammar lessons, with quizzes to check understanding throughout. It was great to listen to actual francophones speak! I also found the content really engaging with interesting guests and stories. I really found this course helpful for my comprehension and will be taking additional InnerFrench courses! Thanks Hugo!

Build a Strong Core is a great course for the intermediate French learner. Hugo explains things clearly and gives helpful examples. The daily work is manageable and not overwhelming. I feel more confident in my French after taking this course.

One of the finest online resources, I was able to access. With super interesting topics and little bit of dose of grammar with each lesson.It made topic of subjonctif super easy.Hugo is really genuine in his efforts for this course.

InnerFrench has honestly been one of the best things I’ve found for learning French. Hugo explains things so clearly and chooses really interesting topics, so it never feels like a lesson—it just pulls you in. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my listening and confidence, and I actually look forward to learning now. His way of speaking is so calm and encouraging, it feels like he’s really on your side. Honestly, Hugo is amazing. I recommend InnerFrench to everyone.

I am happy to add my very positive review of both the podcasts and the Build a Strong Core course, which I just completed. The topics are interesting and well chosen and the grammar presentations are focused and efficient for the learner, with enough exercises to reinforce the learning.
