Yesterday I went into one of these stores for the first time. On being asked for my mobile number if I wanted a 10% discount, I refused initially because I never give my mobile to any business at all.
It is very easy for me to tell who has breached my data & privacy because i never receive scam calls on my mobile.
I said in store why I didn't ever provide. I was reassured that the company would not do that. Well someone in the company must have done it.
Within 24 hrs I have had scam ATO calls to my mobile for the first time ever. I have had "Service Provider" IDs come up as callers - never previously.
I am very annoyed. This is unacceptable & I have written to the Company requiring the full & proper removal of all my details from the system.
Meanwhile I have reported this to the appropriate Govt Agency.
Most people would never know the source of data & privacy breaches.
It is 100% easy for me to identify the source of the problem.

I cannot remember the name of the young guy who served me but he was very understanding of the paint job I was embarking on and gave some great and honest advice. He also gave me some tips on brushes and they were not always the most expensive ones . So in one visit I had everything I needed for my difficult paint job and becoming a member I was able to get a 10% discount. I will be returning.
