I hardly ever write reviews and people are quick to complain and slow to give praise so I felt I had to do this review. I contacted all the agents in Braintree and surrounding area and by a country mile George at Intercounty was on a different level to the other agents I spoke to. Of course I want a much better property than I can probably afford, who doesn't but the help George gave me was the single best bit of advice I have been given. He was so knowledgeable about renting, asked me questions others didn't and suggested I write down a list of needs and wants explaining these are two very different things. He suggested that I should focus on my needs property wise and if he could find a property that covers my needs then the essentials are covered and I might be lucky enough with the odd want included. I told him in an ideal world I would like three bedrooms as my daughter lived with me and she had a car but I walked to work so I wanted plenty of parking. He then said ok thanks for that so let me explain what I mean. Ok you have a daughter that lives with you who drives, you walk to work in town so essentially your NEEDS ARE two bedrooms and parking for 1 car ideally within walking distance of town or close to a bus stop so you can get to work but you would like an extra bedroom and more parking if at all possible but overall the 3rd bedroom and parking for cars you do not have may not be essential so these become YOUR WANTS. He suggested I look at 2 bedrooms with parking as a starting point and maybe beyond if viable. I was amazed at the level head on his shoulders and wondered why I had never thought of it like that and why none of the other agents had got into my mind like George. I started to look at my way forward with a much clearer and with a realistic head on and indeed he is so right so rather than trying to find the impossible I am now looking at properties I can actually afford and as long as my needs are fulfilled any wants included will be an added bonus. Thanks George for focusing my mind you were so helpful and if at all possible it will be Intercounty I rent from and not one of the other agents.

Recently rented through Intercounty and couldn’t recommend them enough. I had the pleasure of working with Mollie to achieve what I wanted. Her work ethic was second to none and the way she conducted herself to answering any questions I may have and making sure everything was set in place with no stress or hassle.

We had a very pleasant viewing yesterday with Abi from Intercounty in Saffron Walden. Abi was professional and knowledgeable and allowed us to take our time with the viewing. Not the right property for us but it was a good experience worth noting.

I mainly dealt with Mollie from Intercounty and she was a delight from start to finish.

Due to my work circumstances I had given her a rather rushed timeline for getting the property I was interested in. Regardless of that, her and the Harlow team managed to navigate around the short space of time and the current covid climate we find ourselves in.

I was very impressed that background checks, landlord contact, inventories and contracts were able to be done so quickly in a world where it’s getting difficult to organise anything.

I was very reassured throughout as she was always in contact and answered any questions I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to go through her/ Intercounty Harlow again, highly recommended!

Very impressed with the service we received from Intercounty in Bishop’s Stortford. Very professional.

Selected the Bishop’s Stortford office to sell our house and what a great job they did. Valuation a little higher than another agency but they marketed and sold at that value (thanks Will Jobber). Then the move process was difficult at both ends of the chain, but our ‘progressor’ pushed them all and kept it together. Probably kept us sane too (thanks Doug Whybrow)! We are moving :-)

Intercounty were my vendors agents and I have to say from start to finish we’re a pleasure to deal with. The chain was extremely challenging at times but these guys stayed positive and up beat throughout and the levels of communication were second to none. I would have no hesitation is recommending this company to anyone.

This estate agent in Sawbo can’t value houses for toffee. Put one house on the market 5 bed at £800 and then another one exactly the same for £670.
Also another 5 bed which is different on the same development for £954 on Terlings Park.
Literally pulling figures out of the sky for quick sales.
Useless !!

What a fantastic team at Intercounty Saffron Walden. As a buyer I cannot praise them enough, Charlotte has been amazing, she has kept in regular contact with us and has being a great support through some very tricky conveyancing times. I highly recommend them.

Intercounty were great during the process of purchasing my first property. Dealing with Doug and Andrew Kidd kept everything moving in the right direction and I would recommend anybody who is considering using them in the furture.

Helen gave very good advice helping me with the sale of my property and Doug was extremely helpful once we had sold. He was always ready to assist and couldn’t do enough. His cheerful manner made the stressful wait to exchange and completion so much easier to deal with in these weird times.

I can only report positive experiences with the team at Intercounty, Braintree. In particular Luke and George have been fantastic throughout our house hunting process. They were thorough, very understanding and attentive towards our requirements , kept us updated promptly and went above and beyond at every opportunity. We will certainly be in contact with them again when we are ready to buy and have recommended them to many people already.

The Team at Intercounty were exceptional. They had a difficult sale on their hands as we went on the market at the point when there was so much concern over Brexit - swiftly followed by Covid and lockdown.

We tried other agents and were promised so much but only one delivered.

The team were always professional - customer focussed and when I lost my temper or became emotional -they were wonderfully calm. Potential buyers were always properly vetted and there was always someone on hand from the team to show people around the house - we never had to chase for feedback it was always prompt and informative.

As we were moving internationally, during a global pandemic, the sale was complicated and the team were incredibly supportive and worked so hard to get the sale over the line to enable us to move before a second wave or lockdown.

It would be quite difficult to fault them.

Thank you to a great team at Bishop's Stortford Intercounty. We were supported by their calm professional manner throughout our sale and purchase. We found them very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

The sales team were extremely good at showing viewers around and notifying us of feedback. After offer agreed I consider that there was an approach to push for an earlier completion date with, in my opinion, preference towards the buyers’ requirements rather than the sellers’ , the latter being the party who were after all, paying Intercounty the Estate Agent’s fee.

Abbi Hogg, our main contact, provided an exceptional, professional and efficient service at each stage of our property search. We cannot express enough what a credit she is to the Intercounty brand!

We had the great pleasure of dealing with Abi Hogg at the Saffron Walden office when searching for a property. She was friendly, helpful and efficient – on the phone, in emails and particularly in person. Sadly we didn't find our new home with Intercounty but this wasn't by design and would highly recommend them for their impeccable services.

I have been very impressed by the service I have received from Intercounty, Bishops Stortford. In particular, James with viewings and the start of my purchase process, and then Doug who has been great at keeping me informed with progress, and was straight on the case when a chaser was required. We have started purchasing our property a few days before the lockdown. The entire team was just amazing in keeping us informed and reassured during the whole process, despite all the difficulties associated with furlough, social distancing, etc. During the entire time, they have been in contact with us and the seller. Being first-buyers, we had plenty of questions and worries, but they were always there for us. We would highly recommend Intercounty and especially this team!

Wish we could have gone with them from the off, rather than wasting time with other agents in the area....
Brandan was absolutely fantastic and always helped to keep our mind at rest while we stressed and panicked!
The only downside is the conveyancers they are associated with, however intercounty themselves were superb 😊
