A little slow and clunky with matches.

IJL does a good job of finding matches for singles. They keep you in the loop throughout the process.

I joined IJL April of 2025. I started out talking to Heather one of the matchmaker s. Heather was really good at talking and getting me all pumped up about these quality dates I was going to have. As a matter of fact she was so good that she had me signing a contract and took my $2800 before I could even think what I was getting myself into. Heather said I would get 8 dates in 8 months. I've had four dates and none of the men were of the qualities that I stressed I was looking for in my interview. They don't know anymore about matchmaking then I do. The communication is terrible. No one calls you back because they don't even have dates to send you on. The Nashville pool is just not there. They take your money knowing this and send you on dates that don't even match just to get your dates in. I spoke with Mike E the director of marketing on the phone for 45 minutes about my complaints and all he did was try and say things that did not happen. He tried to make it seem like it was all my fault. Never once did he offer a solution to the problem or apologize. It is now approaching the end of November and come December I should have been on 8 dates. I have at least three to four left. I have not heard a word from IJL since the director and I spoke in October 2025. Don't even try to get any type of refund because it is impossible. I feel they scammed me and I would never recommend them to anyone. Stay away. Don't waste your money!!

My first date set up by IJL was great. But the woman had no idea I was flying into town just to meet her. Also, the restaurant should have been much closer to her house. It was an inconvenient location for her.

Actual date and the planning regarding the date was convenient and easy. IJL did all the reservations and communication. I just had to show up. However, I am frustrated and disappointed at the slow speed of organizing the dates and matches. It took 2 1/2 months to get my first date. And communication with matchmaker feels limited and equally slow.

I know Jaiye L-IJL is trying. It appears that my location is making it difficult to find a match.

Dave was great - very personable. It would be much better instead of sending us to restaurants in the city, just let us exchange phone numbers - we can do the rest.

Company representatives are helpful and have positive attitudes. This takes a lot of the anxiety and possibility of ghosting away from what you would experience using a dating app. It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

Constantly match me up with matches that don't fit the guidelines of what I was interested in when I signed up. All this "mis matches" count toward the number of matches they guarantee. Before you sign up ask them how many daters are in their system. Basically it's almost none but they won't tell you they have don't have enough clients and diversity for it to work well.

Response to their reply : When I signed up they had no issue taking my money, and they never mentioned my criteria would be an issue. If they can't deliver on what they promise they shouldn't take the client or they shouldn't make promises they can't keep, or they could give a full or partial refund. They will say whatever they can to get you on board and then once you sign the contract it's too late.

Overall I have been happy with the service I have received. The first date was not a great experience (due to that individual person), but the matchmaker was phenomenal in how he handled the feedback. He listen to my concerns, needs, and expectations and the second date was a significant improvement. Looking forward to the next few dates to come.

I love my match maker. Jy is really interested in me finding true love. He asks great questions and seems to truly be a good judge of character in a potential mate for me. As we go on this dating journey together he really feels like my wing man.

I hit it off right away with my date, and we had a lot in common. O my the distance was an issue which is why I gave 4 stars.

$4000 started Nov 2024 had a few dates fairly quickly then ... nothing...for months. Then multiple rejections of folks not even wanting to go on a date... then rescheduled dates with no communication afterward, I'm in my 40s so the dating pool is smaller but I end up feeling totally forgotten about by my matchmaker and I don't feel like they care about my dating life just I signed an expensive contract with poor results

Jaiye has set me up with a couple good dates. Didi and Rebecca coming up. He has been receptive to my needs and what I’m looking for.

We discussed the type of person and woman that I was attracted to. I was coming off a corrupted relationship and was looking for something real. I signed the contract, JIL presented a date that I would of never considered. I sent sent pictures of women that I had dated. The next candidate was the same as the first. The 3rd picture mimicked the first. Friends set me up with a perfect person. The next "date" selection was along the same lines as the first 2. They never supplied someone I was interested in. Within a month of the 'contract" I requested a refund. They refused and would hold the contract open. 3 months later (with no contact on their part) I suggested a 50% settlement. Jen refused and told me dating was a "process". I found this Company to be disingenuous, ridged and incapable of reasoned thought. I would never recommend them to anyone.

So far I had one date and it was great. It was a very enjoyable time and we saw each other a couple times. Looking forward to meeting more people in the process, however it does seem to take forever to get the next date scheduled. I joined in July and I've only had one date (one other date was canceled due to their travel) so I was hoping for a bit more regular connections, and not have it take months. If you could please send me two people, as oftentimes with people's schedules, the date ends up being 2-3 weeks out.

Really is just lunch. Scammed me in pnw and bc. Two dates, one shows up drunk w kidney failure. Second wasnt a match. They didnt match. Lied about provoking imo. Stay away. From 2019

They have records. Debbieh and a worse matchmaker before that. 2018. . They can find records if they want. Terrible company imo

It’s Just Lunch completely misrepresented what they offer. They promised a strong pool of potential matches, but that turned out not to be true.

After signing up, I asked for a refund early because of concerns with how they operate. Instead, I was reassigned to a new matchmaker who took more than two weeks to respond. Over the next two months, I had no dates and no meaningful communication.

Their customer service is unhelpful and dismissive. This company does not deliver what it sells, and I feel their practices are misleading. I regret trusting them and hope others avoid making the same mistake.

I have worked with IJL for awhile the dates are fun especially for someone with a busy schedule. Kelly and Chelsea are professionals setting up dates to fixing technical problems with video conferences.at the San Francisco office.
