Quick Delivery. We added the ESIM the day before our flight. After landing and enabling it, it started working after a few minutes. No problems and good speeds.

I purchased the 20g eSIM for my 2 week journey in Japan this year and it was a big difference than the past 3 years of different eSIMs I have tried before. Every year is better but never really covered the areas I like to explore, outside the usual touristy areas. Of course, I also had to take it to the Ōsaka Expo, and see how it measured against all those other people soaking up the bandwidth. All that said, this was the true winner. It worked so quickly and in almost every area I was at! FAR more than the usual (overpriced) name brands I had tried before. It kind of became a game to try and find a place it wouldn't work. I'm happy to say this will be the eSIM I will be purchasing from now on. No more researching and looking for a slightly better one, this one wins easily, far above the rest!

I put off getting a Sim card before my trip to Japan this past October since there seemed to be a lot of options and all had mixed reviews. I happened to watch an ad for his eSim service during one of Chris' videos a couple days before my flight and figured it was worth a try and I could always buy a physical Sim at the train station if it didn't work out since my phone is unlocked. I got the 30 day unlimited plan for a price that didn't seem too unreasonable for a product from a new small business. I had decent signal pretty much everywhere throughout my 20 day trip. My companions were often relying on me to look up things and map them since their data connections (gotten through their regular American phone providers as an add on) were spotty. One friend had it so bad we just didn't bother messaging her after a while. I can't compare it to another Japanese eSim since no one else had one but compared to roaming with a phone company it was sooo much better. We went from Tokyo all the way down to Matsuyama (plus a trip up to Ginzan where the Sim worked great) and I never had a problem in the city or a rural area. The only time I had problems was Shibuya specifically but I think the sheer amount of people there made cell signal difficult for everyone. I streamed music and did dailies for all my games without issue which was great the few times I didn't trust our hotel's wifi. Overall I have no complaints and would use this Sim again next time I go to Japan.

Very easy to get and whole process and conditions thoroughly explained and easy to follow. My wife and I used Journey Japan’s e-Sim over two weeks in Tohoku and in Tokyo and had zero problems and good connectivity and fast speeds. We were in Misawa (Aomori-ya - thanks Chris and Charlotte for recommending) Hachinohe, Aomori-Shi, Sendai,Matsushima Bay and Tokyo - worked fine every day and every where

Awesome speed and reliability! I used it for 2 weeks from 8th-21st of December 2025 and it never failed me. Whether I was searching for metro or train routes or playing Pokemon Go or just searching for information online, no lag and no drop-outs. Compared with the previous eSim I used in our Japan trip last year, this eSim was fast and reliable, definitely will recommend to friends and family and will use again in our next Japan trip.

Awesome cell coverage and it just worked easily and wherever/whenever I needed it. Reasonable pricing too.

Went to Tokyo in August and was never without cell service! Both my partner and I purchased JJesims, and never had an issue. Web pages loaded fast and our maps never failed us! It was also nice to stop by Lost bar and get a discount for having the esim :)

Very reliable internet connection while travelling throughout Honshu in Japan. Would definitely recommend JJ eSIM!

I used the esim in November 2025. No issues with the connection, speed or similar and the price was good. Data was enough for a one month trip. The only issue was that I could not get any text messages or calls through to my number after activating the esim but it was probably my own fault for not understnding instructions/making a mistake in setting it up.

Easy to buy and use.
My phone somehow messed up the installation and I had to add information manual, luckily I could find this information in the guide while using the wifi on the limousine bus. Within 10 minutes I was able to use the eSIM correctly.

Had no issues buying or enabling the eSIM, all pretty straightforward. The connectivity itself was solid, though it was 4G all the way. I had an odd issue where after loosing connection completely (in some remote areas like Magome trail) the network would not reconnect until I switched to flight mode and back, but that might be the phone acting out as my partner did not have such issue with theirs JJ eSIM.

Stellar connection even in the most remote parts of Hokkaido. Highly recommend.

I had not travelled outside the uk for a very long time, so was nervous about sorting an esim. I was absolutely delighted that i used the journey japan esim. It was very easy to purchase and download. The instructions were perfect for a total amateur like me. I was able to activate it as soon as the plane stopped moving and i had perfect coverage everywhere for my whole trip. Will definitely use it again!

Took two because we stayed for 45 days in Japan :) Never lost signals and we got plenty of bandwidth. I was traveling with my partner and he bought it too. Even deep in the country side, always good signal!

I have used the Journey Japan Esim for almost 5 months straight now. I am abroad in Japan for school and my Tmobile/Softbank sim just wasn't cutting it...
With the JJESIM, I can watch as many videos as I want, quiclly translate phrases, get accurate real time instructions from Google maps, and communicate with my friends quickly. Anything you would need the internet for, you can do with JJESIM.
I chose the JJESIM because Abroad in Japan produces the highest quality "living in Japan" content I've ever seen and I love it. I chose to trust the maker of this Esim and I have NOT been disappointed. Even when I am in an underground bar in a rural city, I have data/service thanks to the JJESIM. Its done better than my American Sim does back in USA! I highly reccomend the unlimited plan.

I bought 20gb each for me and my brother for our Japan trip in the summer, we activated our esims with no problems as soon as we arrived at Haneda airport and it really helped make our trip smooth, keeping us connected at all times whether we were navigating the busy streets of Tokyo or answering video calls with family on our way up to some hidden shrines in the countryside, I can’t see us using anything other than JJ eSim on future trips.
