I just wanted to share my positive experience with JR Gas and Water. Recently, our hot water system failed over the weekend, and I reached out to them for a quote. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a detailed quote just on Sunday.

They were incredibly responsive and arranged the installation of a heat pump hot water system (iStore 180L) in just two days. Their quick communication made the process seamless.

Additionally, I found their pricing to be very reasonable compared to other quotes I received. The installation was carried out by Isaiah and Joshua, who were not only professional but also very clean and tidy in their work.

Purchased a hot water system to replace leaking system. Very quick turnaround, chose 5 day option and was installed the next day. Advice before purchase was also extensive and valued. Price was very competitive and cheaper than most. Joshua was the installer and he was friendly, great and did a very neat job of the install. Would recommend this company for hot water system installs.

If I could give them 10 stars I would, every aspect of their communication and installation was friendly but professional, and was not just good but exceptionally great at the absolute best price. I went through the website "Installed Today" read the Terms & Conditions and left a question about the location of the Hot water system in the laundry, well, Jarrod from JR Gas and Water phoned me in a very short time and answered my question and felt very reassured, so after the call I got straight online and booked and paid for the Dux 315lt hot water system, a valve kit to suit and installation. Shortly thereafter I got a receipt email, and one from JR to set an install appointment time the next day. The next morning at 8am the delivery guy came with the hot water system and valve kit, JR came at around midday at the appointed time phoning me in advance to tell me they were on their way. Joshua [J C] and Charlie [C S] were friendly and professional and although being young men, the job they did was outstanding, I could not be happier with the workmanship and the outstanding service and communication I got from beginning to end. Additionally I save hundreds of dollars for the H/W System, valve kit and installation. Yes, I shopped around, after getting the best online price for the Dux 315 lt. System, I phoned the store that advertises they will beat it by 10%, after hours of being on "hold" and talking to untrained staff, I finally got someone who could do the deal, the best they could do was MATCH the price of just buying the Hot Water System and not include delivery, what a frustrating waste of time that was.
I know good quality and service when I see it, until I retired I spent years as a professional handyman working in the Brisbane CBD.

We had the Rinnai 250L 3.6kw Steel Hot Water System installed. It has made the hot water in our old house 100% better as our last system was long overdue for an upgrade. The services provided by JR Gas & Water was honestly a stand out amongst our experience with previous trades. If you want a Company that does everything for you without hassle- including working out what type of new system you may need - this is the Company for you. I had an ancient hot water system in need of replacement and had no idea where to even start. I sent through photos to the team and filled out the online forms and within a day I received a response. The plumbers and electrician showed up when they said they would (which in my experience is rare for tradies), carried out the work and gave me a run down at the end to make sure I understand everything. The electrical work was less than anticipated and they even reduced the fee without my asking. I can now understand why they have the reviews that they do - it really is a streamline service that produces good work.

JR Gas & Water installed a Rinnai B20 continuous flow gas hot water system in place of a storage system at my town house yesterday. A complicated exercise to dig up tiles and concrete to relocate pipes, but managed brilliantly by Joshua and Kris who worked an extremely long day to get the job done. A shout out to them for their work. The process of organising a quote was quick and easy, even with extra steps that required a site visit. Mostly done online, including approval of a good price for the unit and installation. JR coordinated all tradies, included the electrician, to get the job done promptly including a tidy up at the end. This was critical for me, with a body corporate to critique the end appearance. As a result, we had hot water flowing by end of the day; the hot water cylinder and other rubbish gone; and I expect much lower gas bills. Thank you, JR Gas & Water.

Really a great service I have received so far in regards to electrical stuff! Call-up fee is very reasonable compared to those above $200 and you can choose the time urgent or not for the economic reason and based on your need. Technician had great support when he countered something he was not sure and found solution and get things done quickly. Will definitely refer to family and friends when needed.

Really good experience from the guys at JR Gas & Water! Was a bit sceptical with the volume of reviews but they are the real deal. Had a good chat with Charlie when I met with him and I think the reason why these guys do so well is that they enjoy their jobs and it shows in their work. Would recommend these guys to anyone. Boys accidentally cut the aircon drain that was going along the old system but you get that with the big jobs. Purchased a "Rheem MDc AmbiPOWER 280L Heatpump Top Mount" for reference.

Found JR Gas on check a trade. I formed them of what another plumber had told (Shower pump needs replacing) JR asked for photos of pump, didn't think anything of it at the time! Was told "Yes he could replace it". JR Gas came out and didn't even check the pump just came with a smaller one, fitted it...left my floors wet with water, didn't clean up after himself, and left us with the shower still NOT working (after paying him nearly £400) Had call him back because we still had no shower! Only to be told there was another £100 call out out fee!!! He came back out and said our filter needing cleaning (So was not the pump and paid for this! You would of thought he would of diagnosed the problem on the first visit?! He advised me to buy a new shower valve and it doesn't matter if it's the wrong type as he would just fit it "upside down" (Truly shocking)!! He cleaned and replaced the filter and it's still NOT working properly!!! So, I would say....Stay away from JR Gas!! Total cowboy plumber.

I recently had a new hot water system installed by JR Water and Gas, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the initial inquiry to the final installation, everything was handled with outstanding professionalism.

Communication was prompt and clear, the team was highly efficient, and the technicians were knowledgeable and respectful. They arrived on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and answered all my questions with patience and care. The pricing was also very reasonable and transparent—no hidden surprises.

It’s rare to find a company that combines quality, reliability, and great customer service all in one, but JR Water and Gas truly delivered. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using their services again in the future.

I engaged JR Gas & Water to install a hot water system and advised them at the time that I had a dog on the property. Despite this, they installed the electrical cable in exposed, low-level plastic conduit — fully accessible to my dog. Days later, my dog chewed through the conduit, exposing live wiring. We were extremely lucky he wasn’t electrocuted and killed.

When I raised this serious safety issue with the company, they took no accountability. They insisted the installation was compliant and refused to rectify it — even though AS/NZS 3000:2018 requires protection against foreseeable mechanical damage during “normal use,” which in this case included a dog they were aware of.

They deflected responsibility, despite having photographic evidence of the damage and knowing a pet was present. No advice or warnings were given at the time of install about the conduit being unsuitable for pets or suggestions to use safer materials.

I’m now having to escalate the matter to the relevant regulatory bodies due to the lack of concern for safety and unwillingness to resolve the issue. If you're a pet owner — or simply expect a tradesperson to assess risks and stand by their work — I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I have never organised an installation of this type before, through on-line sources, but was very happy with the thoroughness and simplicity of the procedure dealing with JR Gas and Water. Throughout the entire quoting and installation I was kept fully informed by Jarred at JR and all questions answered.
From quote to completion it only took a couple of days.
