Slower than some to get the goods I ordered, Price and quality good. Excellent and polite communications, Will likely use them again.

I placed an order for a knife dispatched to the UK. Kiichin then informed me that the shipping method I had placed my order with via their website was not appropriate, and I had to pay an additional £17.19.

I note that a week after I placed the order, the website still offers the original shipping method that my order was placed with as an option.

This is a classic bait and switch, and they don't seem concerned about updating their website (if indeed it is wrong) to avoid misleading customers.

Avoid Kiichin! I paid extra for japan ems shipping, but they downgrade to a cheap carrier (ECMS) and keep the money difference.
​To make matters worse, it's fake shipping. They provided a tracking number that shows absolutely zero movement, meaning they never actually handed the parcel to the carrier.
​The exact moment I emailed them to demand a refund for the shipping difference and questioned the fake tracking, they completely ghosted me. Zero replies, they just pocketed my money and disappeared.

I am writing this to warn other shoppers about Kiichin’s deceptive practices. Here is what happened with my order (#E12648KC):

1. False Advertising on Google: On July 17, I ordered a knife that was advertised on Google Shopping as "In Stock" with a fast delivery estimate. Today (July 28), their Google ad still promises a delivery date of "By July 30" (arriving in just 2 days).
2. Hidden Out-of-Stock Status: Days after placing my order, I emailed them asking about customs fees. Only then did they admit the item was completely OUT OF STOCK until mid-August, with no guaranteed shipping date even after restocking. They never notified me—if I hadn't emailed them first, my money would have been held with zero updates.
3. Unreasonable Refusal & Stalling on Cancellation: When a second order (#E12876KC) was accidentally placed via Shop App's one-click checkout, I requested an immediate cancellation. Instead of processing it, Kiichin delayed the cancellation for days, emailing me to keep the order active by switching to postal shipping, which would allow a $30.27 partial duty refund. From July 17 to July 28—for 11 full days—I had to spend my precious time after work stressed and wrestling over email to resolve their mess. Despite this waste of my time and energy, I was still willing to compromise and keep the order. I simply asked them to apply the same $3 first-purchase discount code from my initial order so I could purchase it at the original price. Surprisingly, they refused, claiming "system limitations." This is a complete contradiction: if their system could process a $30.27 duty refund, adding the $3 discount to that refund ($33.27 total) was completely feasible. When they refused, I stated that without matching the original price, the order should be canceled as originally requested. Ultimately, Kiichin chose to reject the $3 adjustment and canceled the order on their end. What makes this worse is that they never offered a genuine apology for their own misleading ads and hidden out-of-stock failure, nor did they show any willingness to take responsibility or compensate for the massive waste of my time and stress. They simply washed their hands of the situation rather than showing basic accountability to a customer affected by their mistakes.

Kiichin misleads buyers with false Google Ads, holds money for non-existent stock, and hides behind absurd excuses. What is most concerning is that they fail to even recognize their own mistakes (false advertising, hidden out-of-stock status, insincere customer support) and have zero intention to resolve them. Given this complete lack of accountability, these issues will likely remain uncorrected—so please be extremely cautious before purchasing!

I received my parcel(E11961KC), well packaged and within the stated timeline.The team is very responsive and has a reliable communication.I will be glad to order from them again.Totally recommend.

Recieved the Japanese package in the UK within a month. Well packed in bubble wrap in several layers. One outside the box a few levels on the products themselves within the box. The coffee server are well made. The lid is secure once on but removable. For me it was important a flat server bottom to be able to maintain coffee at a stable temperature on top of warmers. Overall very impressed by the little details.

I received my beautiful stainless steel kettle quickly and I just love it. The shape, quality and craftsmanship is superb. It’s a perfect kettle!

Great option for USA based buyers to find Japanese garden tools. The prices are extremely competitive with US based products even when accounting for shipping. The better quality of Japanese steal makes it a no brainer.

The shipment took 7 business days, landing right in the middle of the estimated window of 6-8. The items were packed extremely well. The website is somewhat clunky to navigate but if you know what you are looking for the checkout process is a breeze.

I received my lotion bottle in perfect condition; it was exactly like it is in the photos. Wonderful.

Pretty good. One of the few places I was able to find this item. Delivered within a reasonable timeframe. Although shipping was quite expensive. One of the pens in the set arrived with the cap loose, however it works perfectly fine and is not dried out. Very happy with my purchase. (#866213KC)

The the product is exactly as described and I have no problem with that. But I was not expecting was the customs duty charge, there was no mention at the time of purchase and this is the only reason why I cannot give five stars

I thought there was something off when I first encountered this site.
I ordered an item, it took forever to arrive, but overall seemed ok.
I then went to reorder the same item a few months later, it had more than doubled in price and the postage cost was nearly double too!
On challenging kiichin, I got some convoluted story that their suppliers set the product and postage price!
My initial gut instinct was correct, kiichin are little more than a 3rd party reseller, perhaps they should rebrand themselves “kerching”…

Scam company. Terrible customer service. Tried to up mark my shipping by £25 then said my items were sold out. Sold my order after trying to scam me. Avoid.
