Snow Crab Quickly replaced
Ref. My review - Poor Quality Snow Crab - I am pleased to say that King Crab replaced the Snow Crab very quickly with their usual very good quality product. Over several years this was the first time there had been any problem with their products. The replacement crab meant we had a very enjoyable Easter Dinner. My only comment would be that I feel the pre-packed 1Kg frozen packs previously supplied, are less likely to be damaged in transit than open packing. I realise this is dependent upon how they are supplied. Whilst their packaging is good King Crab can't help rough handling by couriers. We will certainly continue to use them.

Ref my one star review of two days ago - King Crab have been in contact today. There was a communications problem within the company following my telephone call. King Crab will be replacing our damaged snow crab. Will let you know about the quality. The person on the telephone today could not have been more apologetic, helpful and friendly. For information the prawns and scallops we received with the last snow crab were up to their usual high standard.

Krab King has rude Management
Krab King had decent food, some of it is way over priced but was worth the effort and cost until I encountered their rude Manager. I attempted to place an order five times that would not go through and my Daughter went to the Restaurant to place the order since she was next door in Giant. She discovered that the reason I could not place the order was because I had added tacos to the order and they only sell tacos on Tuesdays. When the order did not go through, I thought it was the payment method so I started switching credit/debit cards. When that did not work, I called on the phone approximately seven times and no one answered the phone. When I arrived at the Restaurant, I inquired about the non-answered phone calls. Well, the rude Manager told me he did not know where the phone was located and became extremely rude when I said that I had been calling and that the least they could do was to answer the phone for customers—he disagreed. I told him that this unfortunately is what happens in Black Owned Businesses and of course, he disagreed. We can do better than this and we do not have to patronize an arrogant non-customer focused business. Not recommended!

I just cancelled an order that I placed July 12 that was supposed to be shipped between July 31 and August 3. No shipping notification was ever received and 4 days after I requested status they still have not replied.

I received my delivery at 9:30am today approx 36 hours after placing my order and I live in a mountain village in Wales 235miles away from Grimsby, that is excellent service, and the quality of all the fish types that I bought is superb.
This is my second order, The website is very easy to use and the choice is very extensive.
I wish I had discovered King Crab earlier, but now that I have I certainly will not be buying fish again from the supermarkets, with their very limited options and high prices.
First time using delivery service and not disappointed.
I usually go and collect myself but due to ill health thought I would try the delivery service. I ordered a selection of frozen shellfish. Shell on king prawns, king prawns and snow crab clusters absolutely spot on turned up as expected all still frozen. Only niggle would be the soft shell crabs I ordered whale size and got prime with the difference refunded, they just don't have the same look in a burger taste great though.
Will definitely use again.

Be prepared to potentially receive frozen food that may have been previously sold, gone through multiple delivery attempts, and spent some time in someone's fridge. From their responses to negative reviews here, you will see that they accept returns for unopened food items. What they don't reveal here is that they also accept returns for opened frozen food that can be repackaged, as they have offered in case of my order, as long as they "receive it in good condition". Avoid.

Another great delivery from King Crab, this time I ordered fresh hake, my favourite fish. Very fresh, having some for tea. Also ordered a box of frozen plaice great for the freezer, another of my favourites. No order for me would be complete without adding some prawns - delicious. All very good value for money, and free delivery if order is over £95. I have been ordering from King Crab for over 10 years.

Outstanding in every aspect of running a small business. Excellence in marketing and communication, keeping both wholesale and retail customers well informed. The friendliest staff on the planet who will advise you in how to cook something if you're unsure or haven't had it before. A tremendous range of fresh produce - why would anyone in their right mind buy seafood from a supermarket wrapped in plastic? The couple who run this business provide such a fine service to the town and work so hard to do so.
A first class business and customer service
We use Premier seafoods (same as Kingcrab but the shop based business) a lot and it is our go to place for both really fresh fish and of course the frozen products. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff and some very good pricing
What a find
What a find! When we moved to the area, there was no end of recommendations for places to go for produce. This was one of the best. With super fresh fish, it’s like being a kid in a sweet shop! Staff are not only knowledgable but very friendly too: nothing is too much trouble. We never go anywhere else now.

I have to apologize to King Crab.co.uk. I gave them a scathing review that was wrong. This is not the company I have problems with. The company I have a problem with also is called king crab . Be aware. So, I was wrong about the review I left and I do apologize.

Be aware you are paying for ice if you buy frozen food from them
We bought some frozen langoustines from King Crag. On the website it states the weight is 1kg, cost £19.00. We thought it would be the net weight as you don't expect to pay for ice. When we received the delivery, on the box, it says that the net weight is 700g. That means the langoustines cost £27.14 per kg. Sainsbury's sells £8.50 per pack with 500g net weight. On their website it clearly states that 500g excluding glazing. This is a rip off. When we called King Crab, they said the weights on their frozen food including glazing, but there is no description of net weight of each product. The customer would not know how much they are paying for the ice. We will not buy from them again.
