On October 26 I brought in a gift card that I had in my wallet for quite some time. The gift card was partially used showing $78.20 written on it. I tried to redeem it and was told it was inactive due to the length of time between uses. I gave it to the head cashier with the promise that she would get back to me. On November 14 I went in to the Kelowna store to find out what progress had been made. The head cashier could not find my card or any emails to head office about my problem. I stood there for 10 minutes while she looked with no success. I was told that I would receive a call regarding the issue. I did get a call back several hours later from the head cashier letting me know that she had found the email from head office. It stated that there was no value left on the card. This seamed very convenient as an hour earlier she couldn't find the card or an email. I asked for a copy of the email to confirm this but I was told that they couldn't send me copies from head office.
About an hour later I received a call from the store manager. I once again asked for a copy of the email he refused and told me that him telling me should be good enough. I told him it wasn't and I wasn't happy , he said ok bye. One minute and 9 seconds later the call was over.
I run a tourism business and if one of my managers blew a customer off like that I would be mortified.
This could have all been avoided If 1)they called me back some time in the 19 days between October 26 and November 14
2)Sent me a copy of the email from head office(if it existed)
3) if the manager had given me more than 1 minute and 9 seconds of his time before he hung up on me.
I truly believe they lost my card and instead of being straight up about it I was lied to. They chose to alienate my patronage over less than $80
I have been a customer for over a decade and I expect to receive better customer service than that. I will now always look for an alternative before returning to KMS.

Visited the store as l often do if l am in Red Deer, on this occasion they had a great sale on for Milwaukee18V Fuel. I was looking for a leaf blower and found one bare tool only 3017-20 at $144.95. Then l spotted the bins and found a Rapid stop 4- 1/2" 5" grinder 2880-20 had no price on it however the milwaukee rep quickly looked it up and offered it at $189 walked out with a big smile on my face thnks KMS

The online ordering was great. I had some questions so I called in to online ordering and the lady I spoke to was very helpful in all the questions I had and went above and beyond to help me get some invoices for items I had purchased online in the last few years. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it took about 3-4 days before my order was actually shipped, but it appears that it has now been shipped.

Bought a Fuji Sprayer online a few weeks ago. Awesome experience from ordering to delivering The Product arrived very well packed and fast. I finally could use it in a DIY project I'm working on and the sprayer impressed me. The finishing was perfect with minimal overspraying. I used to spray using a compressor and definitely should have changed for this Fuji turbine a long ago.

Ordered a compressor that will take two weeks to get, not a problem as they had the specific size I needed and it's on the way. Staff is helpful if you need tools and you're in the Trades this is the place to shop and get the right tools and advise.

When the staff member determined that KMS did not have the replacement blades I needed for my bow saws, he offered to set and sharpen the blades that were on my saws. Totally unexpected and very much appreciated. This service fits my philosophy of refurbishing and re-using materials rather than discard and replace them. Just another reason why KMS is my go-to store for tools and good service.

Great assistance on a Fuji Spray system!
The staff at the Chilliwack location were a great help for us when were looking for a paint/stain spraying system to speed up production in our siding company. After looking at several different models we settled on the Semi-Pro 2 HVLP system. So far it's been great for our exterior applications: very efficient, easy set up and use, and a breeze to clean. All important to someone new to a paint spraying system. Thanks KMS for pointing us in the right direction to a great product.

I am extremely disappointed with one of the female staff member working on commercial pick up counter. My company has a charge account and we buy a lot tools,etc from KMS. Mostly picking up stuff from south side location, edmonton, this was the second time I happened to be in the store located on 184 st, edmonton and found the staff to be extremely erogant and intimidating. Don't know how one with such attributes is allowed to work behind the counter where you have to deal existing oyal clients. I am sure someone in the organization can see how this can affect business I the long run. The entire staff on south side location is absolutely courteous. I would be extremely reluctant to come to this location, knowing I would have to deal with this person.

I just want to give a shout out to Joey and Bret, at the coquillam auto parts diviison, for going the extra mile on a disk brake convertion kit. I purchased this kit 7 years ago, and only recently went to install it. I found that several parts were missing. The guys went out of their way and managed to replace the bits at a very resonable cost.

I find the people in Coquitlam shop so racist. At around 10am my husband sent me to buy POR rust preventive. I asked the staff for help and they showed me the product. I accidentally took the tin which was on sale. I arrived home around 12pm and realized that I took the wrong tin. I went back to KMS to return and they accused me of opening the tin. JENNIFER at the till told me I took some from the tin. The manager came and say the same thing and later on returned the tin on the shelf and refund my money. I was traumatized by the incident as a black woman. Please Jennifer be nice to be people and listen to customers concern before u make a judgement. I told the workers many times I didn't open the tin but they couldn't believe me. We are all equal no matter the color of skin.

Bought a Fuji Semi-Pro with Gravity Sprayer to refinish louver doors and cupboards. Looked at less expensive options first, but settled on Fuji's entry level 2 stage HVLP sprayer system.
As a rank beginner to HVLP sprayers, I liked that they were a Canadian company, had a large amount of support materials, and the equipment was quality. Purchased gravity feed gun for its reported maneuverability, along with 1.0,1.5,1.8 Air Cap sets to cover spraying water based stain on my decks up to latex primers and finish coats.
After a bit of reading and trials, started on deck as a good first project. Been brushing all these years, and spraying with a 1.0 air cap with back brushing made the deck look the best it has in years. Moved on to spraying primer and finish coats on the cupboard doors and drawer fronts. Again looked great and was fast. Should have bought this sprayer years ago, such a time saver and produces a quality finish with good prep and operator care.

Ordered a new table saw online. Two weeks later I get a call to come pick it up from the store. When I got there, they had the saw sitting on a pallet, no box, out of its packaging, and they tried to pass that on to me as "new/unused". I'm not suggesting it was used, only that it could have been and I wouldn't have been any the wiser. They then suggested it was a display unit, but still new - which wasn't sitting right with me. I've seen before how display units are treated and more than once have noticed a rack and pinion or fence damaged or even broken. So after some internal deliberations I refused delivery and had them refund me for the unit, which they did without issue. The warehouse staff were very friendly and accommodating as well, and seemed understanding of my not wanting to take the bare, unpackaged tool they had waiting for me on a pallet. They went out of their way to try to find me a replacement, but had none available.
They also neglected to include the battery and charger that were part of the package I ordered. I had to show them my receipt before they'd get it for me. Had I forgotten to bring it up before I left the store (had I actually accepted the tool they tried to pass off on me) I probably would have been out 1/2 the reason for making the purchase in the first place. But that is neither here nor there since I didn't end up taking delivery.
On the more negative side, they say they will refund any new unused item with its original packaging, but then try to sell items as new that don't come with any. It makes perfect sense to sell a display unit, but not at full price and not when your customer is expecting it to come packaged from the factory. That just seems wrong to me.
So I wasted a couple of hours of my day and am still without a table saw, but at least I got my money back. I would still buy from this company, in store, but I don't trust their online sales anymore.

I have been attempting to buy a dust collector for 2 weeks. These guys don't communicate, then Manager Greg takes that down 2 notches with sarcasm and excuses. Go elsewhere!
Follow up to KMS response:
More excuses. Just admit "We didn't handle this well. We should keep better records of inquiries, in future."
The needed information (how much can you need?) was provided twice. The first time by email. A staff member called me but when I returned their call, they couldn't determine who. I supplied the price listed ($899), the model number and SKU, again. I was promised a call that didn't happen so I called back and got Greg, this time. You have read my opinion of his version of "customer service."
