Lawn Dr in Brighton that is supposed to service our lawn is totally worthless. Would recommend that anyone who thinks of hiring them ...RUN AWAY as fast as you can. They don't do what they are supposed to, and lie about what they did. For a supposedly full treatment for our cobble stone area, there was someone that came by and sprayed each current weed. I can do that with a can of roundup from home depot. I was promised a full spray of the area. They came and did nothing until I had to call them back and ask if they sprayed it with fertilizer instead of weed killer because the weeds were doing better then our flower garden. When they came back after my complaint, that's when the guy, instead of a cover spray, would spray each weed that was poking its head out from the rocks. Will definitely not be signing with them next year unless they up their game to a much better performance. I would instead hire a stoned teenager. They would do a better job.

My experience with Lawn Doctor has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Here’s why:

Last year, Lawn Doctor performed seeding on my property, but they did a poor job. There were numerous bare spots where no lawn grew. After bringing this issue to their attention, they promised to either refund me or redo the service this year. However, they have yet to fulfill this promise.

Recently, a Lawn Doctor employee came to my property for a fertilizer treatment. I specifically advised him not to proceed with the treatment due to the unresolved seeding issue. I saw no reason to continue giving them business until they took care of the pending problem. The representative acknowledged this and left my property.

To my shock, I later received an email stating that the fertilizer service was completed and was asked to pay an invoice of approximately $148. This charge was for a service that was never performed. When I contacted Lawn Doctor to address this issue, instead of resolving it, they decided to close my account. This action did not address the unresolved seeding issue or the erroneous invoice.

Closing my account was not a solution and only added to my frustration. They never completed the promised seeding service, leaving me with a lawn full of bare spots and an unjustified invoice.

In summary, Lawn Doctor has provided poor service, failed to follow through on promises, and handled customer complaints unprofessionally. I strongly advise against using their services. Save yourself the hassle and look for a more reliable lawn care provider.

Lawn doctor sprayed all our shrubs and within a week most showed severe damage with many in process of dying.Company rep came out and acknowledged this problem and that other customers also experienced the same problem. He claimed a new change in the formulation of their spray included a new product that was responsible.Stated mainly affected new growth and that plants should survive.?So far not looking good.

This company absolutely destroyed our lawn. Our lawn was lush, green, and full before we hired lawn doctor for weed control. They came out and sprayed a few times and now our lawn is completely dead. They take zero responsibility for their mistakes and make excuse after excuse. They are rude and unprofessional. Stay away from this company.

I’ve had Lawn Doctor for 2 years now and my lawn looks better than it ever has! I tried 3 or 4 other lawn companies in the past and still had weeds so I’m a very happy customer!

I signed up and prepaid for a yearly lawn care service with the Waldwick, NJ based Lawn Doctor. I had no issue with the first service. However, I received a call about the 2nd service scheduled for 4/22 which never took place. I called the following day and spoke to Josh who told me they would be out that day. No one showed up. The next day I received an email about recent service which i replied never took place. I also reached out again bu phone with no response. This is the email I received in response to my email.
"Refund is being sent. We have over 4000 clients, we give anyone special treatment and everyone is treated fairly. Your property was serviced yesterday. It is a little creepy to be staring out your camera all day, it is like when we were younger and the weird neighbor peeking through the curtains.

These guys are thrives because they lied and charged me for a service they didn't do. No paperwork was left behind that it was complete. No evidence of any treatment on the ground and nothing appeared on the several cameras I have on my property.
I would never suggest these people to anyone.

My front lawn was in great shape. I switched over to Lawn Doctor a year and a half go. Front lawn is now in horrible condition. The back yard look okay. Maybe just a bad technician but gave plenty of chance for them to fix. It just got worse. Switched back to Turner.

Do not use Lawn Doctor. I had them for year and my yard looks worse than when they started. If I did not know better, I would say the only thing they sprayed on my yard was water.
For the money I spent on them I could take care of my yard myself for 3 years...

I was inquiring online to get a consultation with a Lawn Doctor representative. Some guy named Kenneth quoted $846 without having seen my lawn. Sounds like a scam.

Was having troubles with patching lawn, I was advised how to check for sun surface bugs and then given the treatment for army worms,, was a miracle turnaround within a week from brown to green,, brilliant as always service from these guys

Ive been a customer for few years, this year chose a different company whobis much cheaper. Was surprised to see that they decided to continue with the service although i dod not confirm it. Josh, who is probably one of the managers or the manager, was very rude when I asked about that, lost his temper and hung up the phone. Terrible customer service, expensive, be carfull

It's kind of a shame these guys use fake photos in their ads. Fake Photoshop is not a good business practice.

Poor customer service. Was more concerned about uploading payment before the service actually happened. This company should provide an option to have your payment uploaded without being billed first. Glad they told me to take my business and go elsewhere, after the reviews I was saved as their product is destroying yards... GOD IS GOOD.

Do not use Lawn Doctor. Had them for over a year and finally cancelled after they completely ruined my lawn. My neighbor actually laughed at me over spending so much money and he used no one for his.

I cannot recommend Lawn Doctor at this time. Whatever they applied to my lawn killed off all my grass and left bald spots. The application was only suppose to kill off weeds. If I can give a no star rating I would so I gave a one star.

I can’t get in touch with Lawn Doctor to cancel my service. Since I have been using them for over 2 years, my front yard has NO grass. And yet, can’t get in touch via email to cancel. If you call corporate, they tell you to call the local but I can’t get through on the phone. If you no longer have a lawn, you should be able to easily cancel this service. And why oh why has no one from the company commented on my ever shrinking front lawn??? Now I have to buy an entire new lawn. My back yard has so many areas of mud and dirt too. I used to have a beautiful yard.

Like others….I cancelled lawn service - in writing - in early Nov 2023. Company did not follow my request…sent a email saying I had one more application. They sprayed the yard and then sent an $89 bill.
Other reviewers have similar stories….the Lawn Doctor did only “an okay job” on the weeds…but their arrogance, unwillingness to honor a customers written cancelation, and aggressively abusive communication should convince you to find a better/ less costly / more customer centric lawn care company.

I grade them as F !!!!!

We have been using the Lawn Doctor in Copperas Cove,Texas, although I had been somewhat happy about their service, it appears things have begun to change lately, like not showing up for services and blaming it on the driver claiming they came but our gate was locked. If you didn't have time to come to my house, just call us and let us know. I waited for you all day. We have video cameras all over our house, no need to lie and say you did come when you didn't. Again -we have video cameras and you never came. Just recently we asked for one extra service on spraying for ants. You never told us it was going to be an extra $131.00 besides the $80.00 for the lawn. Forgive us for assuming it might be an extra $25.00 -No one gave us the extra price of $131.00. You just billed us and that was it. Because I called and complained -oh gosh thank you Brittany for dropping off $30.00. Since we have been a customer for at last a year or more, it should have been dropped by at least half the price. Will I continue to even use you for our lawn? I'm not to sure now. Sorry for the hang up, however I felt you were completely condescending to me. No I'm not requesting service. I will politely share elsewhere of my experience of this. Please advise your customers ahead of time what all prices are before sending them an outrageous bill. Please do not be so condescending.
