The service people were professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in sharing information

I am writing to share my experience with Lawn Doctor of Annapolis Bowie in the hope of warning others who may be considering using their services. I contracted with Lawn Doctor for a basic 6 step fertilization and weed control program for my lawn from March 2019 to August 2022. However, I was extremely disappointed with the service that I received.

Despite paying for their service, I had to hire a landscaper to put down grass seed as Lawn Doctor failed to provide a service that yielded grass. When I reached out to Lawn Doctor to address my concerns, they denied any responsibility for their failure to provide the service I contracted them for.

In addition, I discovered that they engage in misleading marketing practices on their website, failing to disclose important information about potential issues with Bermuda grass infestations and the difficulty of eradicating them.

I ultimately had to escalate the matter to the Maryland Office of Attorney General Consumer Protection Division to obtain a refund. Based on my experience, I would caution anyone considering using Lawn Doctor's services to think twice and consider other lawn care providers.

Dont want to write out a long and drawn out whining session. Just my early on experience as a new customer to lawn doctor. Got a message on my cell phone on the afternoon of the supposed 1st application saying it had to be canceled with no explanation. Made a call to inquire as to why. Did receive a call back with an answer of broken equipment and i expressed my concern about as to the timing as to prevent the weeds. Was told there was plenty of time and agreed to a reschedule. Doesnt appear of a visit today for the application and never received a call. I shouldnt have to babysit a business and its promises. Will just take care of my lawn myself. No longer feel comfortable or trust this company. Canceled all future services.

I hired lawn doctor this year, big mistake! After their 1st service I have weeds especially in some large areas that they obviously didn’t treat. I called to complain and they were supposed to come out to retreat ( or actually treat) areas they missed. Almost a week later, no call and no show.

Customer service is terrible. I call three times about weeds that was left in my yard after 4 years of service. When I called the person I spoke with was very rude. on the third call John was just as rude as the other lady that I spoke with. I believe her name is Nancy. When I told John to cancel my service he said I can do that for you. Not, I am sorry, how can we make it right. nothing like that. If you are thinking about hiring them, DON'T!!!

Dependable and reliable is what I have enjoyed from Roman and the other team members with Lawn Doctor of Bakersfield. When it comes to carefree lawn care I recommend this company.

Put wrong stuff down killed my lawn , manage even came out and said the same thing

Used them last year for aeration and it was fine. This year I DID NOT call them or book them. They just showed up when I was at work, did a service and put the bill in my mailbox. Although not having any kind of contract with them they have an "autorenew" policy. This is disgusting practice which absolutely guarantees I would never use or recommend this company.

Very poor customer service, heard cursing clients in the background while on the phone. Poor service overall.

Used them last season for power seeding for $600.00. They GUARANTEED 90% germination. Did not work, no new grass. They told us in order to reseed and guarantee the 90% we had to hire them for new season to “touch up.” Ted Kramer, the owner told us he owned 10-12 franchises on Long Island and therefore if we complained to corporate they would not listen to us. PLEASE BEWARE. Now contacting consumer affairs and small claims court.

Lawn doctor of Fort Walton Beach Florida has over charged my bank twice by several hundreds of dollars and were not even apologetic about it and now they overcharged my account again with an additional service charge and when I let them know they did that he pretty much called me a liar and said they only did it once. I told him it had definitely been charged again he said he would look into it and call me right back but I didn’t hear from him again that day so I texted him the next morning and got nothing but attitude and then he finally texted back saying he fixed it. The next day the charge had already gone through from pending and I contacted him to let him know he hasn’t fixed anything and he has yet to even respond. Do not use this company because they make a HABIT of overcharging people and when they do, they act like they are doing you some favor by fixing it. They don’t even get your money back in your account before they are already charging your account the correct amount so then your account has even more money out of it. The first over charge was over $500 and the second one was over $600 when both of those should have only been $79. You would think they would be falling all over themselves to fix that, but they were just jerks and my money still isn’t back in my bank account and I guess he just decided he didn’t want to deal with me.

Hello, Lawn Doctor of Lancaster is taking us to court. They treated the grass and then it died, so we asked them to come out and look at it, but I never heard back from them. PLEASE contact me if you have had an experience like this, especially if you have used lawn doctor of Lancaster, PA. Since we did not get a response from Lawn Doctor after we asked them to look at the destroyed grass, we disputed with our credit card company and of course won. Next thing we know, we received summons for a civil suit against us. IN fact, we should be suing them as we now have to replace half of our grass. PLEASE let me know if you have had a similar experience. Since we have to go to court, I want to make sure this never happens to anyone in our area again, or anyone anywhere, for that matter. Thanks

My experience with Lawn Doctor (in Tarrant County, Texas) has been great! I switched from a large national lawn service to Lawn Doctor, because the large service did nothing to improve the health/look of our lawn. As soon as Lawn Doctor started fertilizing and providing weed killer/prevention at the beginning of last Summer, my lawn improved dramatically and continued with their regular treatments. It is thicker, greener and there are less weeds. So far, Lawn Doctor is the best lawn service I have hired.

We have been Lawn Doctor customers for many years and have finally realized that we need to find another company, rather than accepting the poor service we have been getting. We prepay for the entire year and yet we cannot get service at the time we request, which is mornings only. It is obvious that Lawn Doctor does not care about customer satisfaction. They do not do the best job as far as keeping the lawn green, but our climate is high desert. If you ask a technician a question about the condition of the grass you get a blank stare. They call to tell you when they have scheduled a treatment. You call them back and say please come in the morning only and they totally ignore your wishes. It is beyond rude and the service is expensive, so this is not satisfactory.

The first year we had Lawn a doctor service they did a great job with great results. Our lawn actually significantly improved and the weeds were nearly gone. However, the service has degraded to the point that it’s no longer if value. Worst part is - if I had an issue the office was only interested in arguing with me. For example - I witnessed a poor application by their technician only to have the office tell me I did not see what I saw. And they did not care that I was dissatisfied - gladly closed my account rather than try to earn my trust back. Truly sad.
