Back i September i missed a payment by…

Back i September i missed a payment by 1 day and have a contact number to call... then my interest rate went to 26% to 36%... they offered to return to 26% if I purchased some sort-of loan coverage for $32 a payment over rest of the term of my loan... which works out more than my purchase...

Stay away from these clowns

Stay away from these clowns. Keep taking payments out whenever . Sometimes 6 times a day. Different amounts. These clowns will no longer have my bank account info. Had to go into conser proposal. Because they messed up so much of my life. Still they insist on taking payments. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS 🤡!!!!

Worst Customer Service ever

A payment was taken in error, when I sent in the credit card statement showing two payments. One payment at the end of September, and a second payment the first day of October. I emailed customer service a copy of my cc statement, customer service advised that they would be in contact with me in 5 business days. I did not receive any follow up. I contacted the accounting department to confirm that they had received that payment. I was informed that there had been no payment made on that account. My October payment was taken out at the end of the month as scheduled. I disputed the charge on my cc as a double payment and the payment was returned. That is when the story gets really looney tunes. I started getting calls from the collection department for my missed payment. I advised that they needed to contact the accounting department as that payment was made on the first of October. I received so many called from that department that I eventually blocked their number, as the collection department called so many times in one day that is filled up my voice messages twice. I advised their department that they needed to speak to the accounting department as I had sent them in a copy of my cc statement. I have spoken to customer service about this issue at least 5 times, and never the same person. I have asked to speak to a supervisor each time, but apparently they don't have one. Now lendcare has taken two payments in November and a payment in December that is not even close to my scheduled payment date. I am going to find out who governs this company in Ontario so that I can file a complaint.

LENDCARE IS A HORRIFYING COMPANY

this company does not even deserve the 1 start I am having to add here ! My son has a car loan with Lendcare (his 1st car) he had no issues until an issue with his bank that caused a payment to bounce, he called them the very next business day where Lendcare took his payment over the phone, that same week they went into his bank account 3 times for that same payment, after speaking to an employee he added his new banking info for his payments, fast forward to his next payment date, he checks his new account and there is no money taken, checked his old account and there was the withdraw ! He called Lendcare about it and they responded that is too bad, you still have to pay our NSF fee ! he ended the call with that employee as she was so rude and the next day called back and got another employee who was great with helping and scheduling a date for that missed payment ! fast forward to the day after that planned date for the payment +NSF, they DID NOT withdraw the discussed payment amount, they went in and took his regular payment 2 times ! He called right away the first 4 employees hung up on him, and the last one he spoke with told him they took out the 2 missed payments ! The bank is thinking it is going to be impossible to stop them from taking more unauthorized payments as even putting a stop payment on the amount of the original payment amount, does not stop them from revising the amount even by 1 cent to pass ! The only option is to cancel the current account and open a whole new account ! Reading all the reviews and experiences from others, and watching my son go through this with Lendcare is horrifying to say the least...

Stay away the worst people to deal with they lies and takes your money.
I was told one thing and the next thing the person change there mind after I made a payment and I got an email saying I will not have pay for December month but the payment came out anyways

Smug, disorganized, rude, awful

I took my cat to the vet. It was expensive. Luckily the vet clinic had a payment plan option. I applied and was approved. It was through Lendcare. My payment was a little over $18 per month. I had it come out of my account every month automatically.

Everything was fine for about 6 months until my bank account was the victim of fraud/identity theft. My bank had to immediately shut my account down and I had to go into the branch to open a new account. This occurred at the same time as Lendcare attempted to take their payment. I was unaware that it didn't go through since I had no access to my old account.

Two weeks later, my phone started ringing off the hook. Over and over agin. I didn't recognize the number and worried about getting scammed again (since I think this is how the fraudsters got me last time). The calls started happening every 5 minutes. 52 calls in one day. I finally answered. An awful man told me that the $18 had bounced and that I now owe a $95 NSF fee. I told him I wasn't paying it. I wasn't even sure the man who called me was legit. After losing my cool on the phone with him and hanging up on him, I called back with the legitimate number I have. Another person helped me. I needed to provide the new account info and an error letter from my bank and send it via email. I did as they asked. Then my phone kept ringing over and over again from Lendcare. When I answered, they'd hang up. Over and over.

The next 3 days in a row, I was called several times a day, each time they're unaware that I've already been called. So far, I have now sent the new banking info and error letter five times.

Today they told me the letter from my bank is not accepted and that I will owe $95 in NSF fees. They say it now needs to be stamped and dated. Now I have to go to my branch to do that. They're making it difficult on purpose, I feel.

I have a feeling they won't accept the STAMPED letter either. My phone is still ringing all the time. The saga continues.

They're smug, relentless, awful to deal with, and I just learned they charge more than 50% interest for poor people.

I am going to pay off the balance of my loan, be done with them, and spend the rest of my days telling people to avoid them.

Avoid this terrible company. You've been warned.

Terrible to get a hold of

One star is being generous been trying to get a hold of micheal in billing for the last 2 days i have been put on hold for a total of almost 100 minutes they say they will work with you but they just put you on hold hoping you will hang up poor customer service we want to work with you but we ignore you and then when you explain you have been on hold they just put you back on hold

This company is fraud all the way! took out double and triple payments increased the car loan from the load from $310 to $418 did not sign the contract back when requested the contract is worth nothing! TRIED TO TAKE OUT 13 PYMENTS IN 4 DAYS! theY caused $699 in NSF Bank fees, working with TD Bank taking them to court filed court papers they ignored it, now suing them for fraud and a claim is in process with A J MURRAY Legal and CITY TV NEWS is doing a story Consumer Beware! ANYONE WHO WANTS To JOIN FILE A MAJOR LAWSUIT Contact

TERRIBLE COMPANY

Had got into financial difficulties. Did everything I was told to do. Every thing was great for over 6 months. One day Lendcare decided to go into my bank account, took out over $1700 causing my account to go into the minus, causing NSF fees, it’s been over a month and they never owned up to their mistake. They owe me money and still nothing.
TERRIBLE COMPANY to deal with.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CRIMINALS.

This company is unreal. I had a sales call back in Sept. The man set me up with extra coverage in case something happened to me and I couldn’t pay off my original loan. He also offered for me to defer my payments for the month of October which I felt was great because I was going on a vacation and felt that was a good option. First payment still went through. I called and talked with a different person because the initial one never returned my calls. This new person apologized and said he would set up the next payment to be deferred. It wasn’t . I was livid. I called, got sent to 3 different people. The last one set up a claim number and will reach the higher ups hopefully. I’m super annoyed. They have no record of those conversations happening and I have no emails (apparently they do on their end, but I’ve not see one, other than the ones I sent personally), there’s absolutely nothing confirming that I had that deferral conversation with 2 different people. They treat you like you are lying. Why would I lie??? Never dealing with them again.

Bunch of Crooks that won’t work with people

I recently had an accident with a Deer that totaled my car. My loan was through lencare and when I called to let them know it happened they told me they would work with me on the $14000 still owed after insurance. I just called and they informed they do not refinance loans and I can continue to pay the $700 a month and get a 3rd loan for another car. They are a bunch of crooks that just give money out for the interest and could careless about the people borrowing

This company will do nothing but bury you alive. I can’t tell you how big of a nightmare this has turned into. Making up their own agreements and taking payments above what was agreed on. They are hosing everyone they can and doing it with a smile on their face. Do yourself a favour and stay far farrrr away. Absolute life ruining experience. Thanks for absolutely nothing lendcare and the employee that stated I was “trippin”

Same thing for me

Same thing for me, cost thousands more. Then paid out July 2024, took three additional payments buggering up a lot of things after I put stop payment on same morning I paid loan out… bank failed me.

It’s now Oct 2024 and recently got arrears email but day before statement showed paid finally, I’d like my extra payments paid back. And get off my credit report and close the account nearly 4 months later here.

I contacted the BBB for which LC will respond but won’t act, I

would recommend having proof of transactions and up to date statements and go to government site, consumer complaints (provincial site) and go from there, I have one under review at the moment and once complete. And no results,

I’ll be launching my own civil claim. If I could I’d go in with others.

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company, I have been in the automotive finance industry for 24 years and this companies practices are downright criminal. If you are late on a payment in the fine print they can raise your rate by 10%. Making thier rates as high as 39.9%.

My opinion, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Giving this company a1star is too much . From the start this company did nothing but lie, I took a loan for 11,500 within 9 months the interest alone brought it to 17,000 but 1st things first , when I got this loan they offered an insurance for it which I agreed to but when I agreed to I asked if I pay my loan off early will that be rated on the amount owing at the time and got the answer yes which was a lie , so I went to their bank deposited the full amount of the loan and I was told it would show in my account within 3-5 business days which it took them 3.5 business weeks cause somehow they misplaced it or whatever the excuse was and then kept on taking money even though I provided everything they asked for . Now with the insurance they told me they couldn’t take it off but they could remove the disability portion and lower the amount to be paid which I’m sure I’ll be waiting 3 business weeks to hear back . My opinion STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE , they set you up for failure and are too happy to collect on it , and everything one person tells you the next will tell you they were misinformed the worst place I have ever borrowed from . No one knows how to respond and if there is an issue you get bounced around . Anyone need the proof I have emails , be careful before you sign

Would rate a zero if I could. Terrible terrible terrible!!! Rude customer service and they take payments on days not scheduled. Been paying at least $450 per month for over a year, and my balance has only gone down $300 😡

Absolutely terrible customer service by…

Absolutely terrible customer service by phone. I’ve called Lendcare multiple times regarding the same issue that they said would be rectified in “a couple of days”. Upon my most recent follow up, the representative, who I’ve spoken to multiple times while attempting to resolve this issue was very rude. When you call you get a “Hello, what do you want” kind of attitude.

I wouldn’t recommend using Lendcare based off their lack of care to assist.

For context, my loan was paid off a month ago, a payment was taken after the cheque was issued and a refund was to be processed. They don’t allow you to speak with anyone in the accounting department and wouldn’t follow up with them herself. The representative, one of only a few, a woman with a West Indian accent, often offers no solution to your calls. You’re better off hanging up and calling back hoping someone else answer.

My best advice is do your research and if possible, deal with one of the larger Canadian banks for your financial needs.
