Really disappointed with my experience.

I asked to cancel my membership in January and chased it again in February because I never got a response. I’ve now realised that I’ve been charged every month since, despite asking for it to be cancelled months ago.

It’s frustrating that something as simple as cancelling a membership has turned into this. I’ve had to send a formal complaint asking for my membership to be cancelled and for the money taken since January to be refunded.

Hopefully this gets sorted quickly because customers shouldn’t have to keep chasing or notice months later that they’re still being charged.

I had the pleasure of talking with Nat this morning who made the whole process of id verification very simple and informative.

Ellie was so polite and friendly. Made the experience very easy and hassle free.

One year after our flat sale we have now realised we got automatically rolled over onto an £8.99 legal subscription. We had to use them as the agency used by our estate agents for AML checks. This is a complete scam and we stupidly are now £98 out of pocket as we’ve only just spotted that we were being billed for a service we don’t want. I could not find any reminder email before the paid bit started. I did not sign a contract for it. We were up to our eyeballs in the last minute panic and stress of trying to complete the sale so did not fully see what was in the email. It is absolutely dreadful they do this and catch people out when their head is full of the last minute complexities of completion with emails every day asking for this and that and yet more unexpected fees to be paid. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THIS LIKE WE DID!

Smooth experience

The process was very easy and Amarita spoke very clearly and thanked me several times for the information I gave her. She was very polite and answered some questions I had, well done!

My experience working with Nat yesterday was quick and painless.

She was very professional and got to business quick which is just what I required having two small children at home. Even though she has a process to follow it was refreshing to have a bit of a chuckle at one ofthe awkward questions.

Overall great experience. Easy to complete.

The will process was very simple and everything was explained to me as we went along.

Tamsin was very polite, welcoming and spoke clearly, giving all relevant info. Also was offered a membership with 3 mths free which was good as I needed to update my will. Overall very pleasant.

Very helpful team during a claim process. I would give 5 stars if only the claim I could get was what I was expecting. Apparently there were some details for the amount you can claim for different certain scenarios, and all of these were not clear at the front page notices that you read. It seems I would have to read through all the small details on every document provided (almost impossible to do with the amount of all formal documents we are sent in this modern world) to actually see that I can only claim a third of what that front page made me believe.

I had to use these people to sell my house. As part of the deal, they offer 3 months free membership (whatever that is) and they will automatically deduct £8.99 per month from your credit card. I’m usually pretty good at cancelling these things immediately, but as I wasn’t given a membership number I couldn’t go onto their site to cancel. I expected, quite reasonably, to get an email reminder before the payments kicked in. I did not. I have checked the whole of Outlook and there is only the receipt for the initial payment. The company’s name is not in my blocked sender’s list either. It appears I have been paying the fee since December (yes, I should have spotted it) but it does seem strange that I have no record of receiving a single email from the company since then. It feels like they’re deliberately operating in stealth mode!
When I contacted the company, it was clear that the staff are well trained and experienced in rebutting any claim that they are not acting transparently. I have contacted my estate agent about this matter.
