Completely false advertising. I do not believe these bags were made by one woman above a shop in Hay-On-Wye, I’m cross I fell for the SCAM, Like others I would give zero stars. My bag arrived today we... Ver más
The bags are useable, and designs attractive but they are of moderate quality and made in China. Nothing like what they purport to be. Worth £10 each. No more.

If I could give this business zero…
If I could give this business zero stars, I would. The photos and descriptions of these bags are nothing like the item that has just arrived. Their description is of an artisan, quality product that is hand sewn. The photos give a three dimensional appearance of the design. It is, in fact, printed fabric with a few wobbly quilting effect lines over the top.
An absolute rip off.
Like other reviewers I wish I’d googled…
Like other reviewers I wish I’d googled them first-I ordered 3(!) The first arrived yesterday and as everyone described, cheap, synthetic copies of their photos. I don’t understand why Facebook hasn’t cancelled their ad! I’d love to know if I can claim any money back, but fear ‘caveat emptor’ might apply. I also wonder where they got photos of the original, much superior, bags, as those I would buy!

Scammers
Scammers, be interesting to see what/if the bag is like. My bank stopped the other transaction as "red flagged". Now see site blocked, and no evidence of it on social media, BEWARE.
DO NOT buy from this Company
DO NOT buy from this Company. I specifically went direct to their website to order 3 quilted cushion covers not from the fb advert. When I eventually received my order, it obviously had come from overseas not Hay on Wye. The only padded item was the envelope they came in. Substandard covers with zips not envelope backs as advertised. Definitely not certified British made. I have been offered 30% refund which I have refused having spent £76. I shall still pursue the matter. This is a scam. I would rather give no stars!
Don't go near this product.
I gave this one star because I had to rate it, in fact it deserves nothing. It is not a handmade, padded, lined bag, it a garishly printed polyester bag, which should cost less than £5.00. It is a huge disappointment, not made in Haye on Wye, made in China and a complete scam.
I feel stupid that I fell for this…
I feel stupid that I fell for this scam .
I ordered a bag which took weeks not days to arrive and it has a cheap looking print of 3 Labradors on the fabric , most certainly not handmade and quilted .
I’ve just received a bag which is…
I’ve just received a bag which is nothing like the picture on Maples Stitches. I must say, they come across as very professional until you receive the item you ordered. Think I’ve been duped and they meant to say they’re made in Shang Hai not Hay on Wye.
A Facebook scam
Unfortunately, like the other reviews, the item was not as described. Not hand made, not made in UK by a lady sitting above a book shop in Hay on Wye. So very disappointed. However, I requested a refund and it has been paid today. Definitely a scam.
Wish I'd read these reviews before I'd…
Wish I'd read these reviews before I'd made a purchase, I wouldn't have bothered. Like everyone else I bought these bags in good faith, thinking it was UK made, nice quilted bags with a difference which really appealed but sadly what came what nothing short of false advertising, something you'd pick up from a market for under a tenner. They are printed on plastic with a black plastic zipped liner the sort of thing you'd have for emergencies but not something you'd want to use for going out to show them off. I've emailed them including photos, they emailed back saying they had switched suppliers and were having teething problems and they would get back to me, I've asked for a full refund and contacted my bank to raise a dispute we'll see how this all goes. I actually feel angry that this is what shopping is like now, you can't trust anyone and have to spend an age trying to check, get reviews and even then some are fake. What has the world come to!
Bags are not what is advertised, a SCAM.
I was, sadly, taken in by the persuasive wording of their Maple Stitches.com website and paid, what I now know as an exorbitant amount for this bag. It did arrive, much to my suprise as I had rumbled them by this time, and contacted the Maple Stitches where they still kept up the pretence of a small company in Hey on Wye. However, it was not quilted nor would it stand up on it's own, it's a lined bag! Don't get taken in like I was. Report them! Don't buy one, it is a SCAM. Cheap imports, company registered in London.
Whole shebang is a fraud
These bags are not quilted, they are not padded, they are made in China, not in a Hay On Wye workroom as it says on the website. Whole shebang is a fraud. Positive reviews track back to fake accounts. The 30 day money back guarantee is fraudulent - 'sale' items are not included and everything on the site is marked 'sale'
Absolute con
Utter rubbish. Claim to be making in Hay-on-wye.
How do they get away with downright cons like this.
Fell for this scam well and truly so I’m annoyed with myself as well. Ordered bag for my friend’s birthday on 2nd July but nothing arrived by the 14th . I now discover it’s coming from China, if at all.
Claim to be making beautiful quilted bags in the UK. Very clever fake page on fb.
This is a scam.
This is a scam.. firstly the bags are not as described - not quilted, screen printed and mass produced in a factory. Also if these are made in Hay on Wye then why does my order tracking show as '..awaiting customs clearance' unless i have missed the fact that there is a Hay on Wye in Asia! It's certainly not worth what I paid for it and was going to be used as a gift but its not going to make the grade, a cheap giveaway at best! Avoid this company..
Looks good, professional website but a scam
The bag arrived after 3 weeks and was not padded, hand stitched or anything resembling the advert. All contact details are short of detail and impossible to get a reply from. Do not order, what you receive is not as shown.
This is a scam
This is a scam. I have just received the bags ordered. They are printed design without any quilting and are certainly not hand made in Hay on Wye. I am currently trying to get a full refund but looking at previous comments I will be very lucky if I succeed. Avoid this company
This website is a scammer
This website is a scammer.
Products are made in China, not Hay on Wye and they are not quilted or layered.
I bought several items are they were simply pictures printed on to cheap material!
Definitely not hand-made in Hay on Wye
Definitely not hand-made in Hay on Wye. Said would be delivered within 3-5 days, but took 3 weeks, no surprise as it came from China! Design is similar to the pictures but no hand stiches or padding are included. Avoid. Not worth the bother to complain with faceless scammers, but won't ever buy again from an advert on Facebook (where these merchants now seems to have disappeared from). Credit card refund on its way.
Maples Stitches will take your money and offer very poor value.
This company is an outrageous scam. Their adverts are misleading and nothing more than a lie.
They claim to sell bags hand crafted in England for a reduced price of £29.95 but what arrives,(eventually), is a very cheap printed bag all the way from China.
Don't be duped.
AVOID THIS SCAM
Poor quality and they are lying about the bags being hand made in the UK.
They are awful.
Cheap and nasty.
AVOID THIS SCAM
I would give 0 stars if I could
I would give 0 stars if I could. The item delivered was nothing like the picture on the website. The item was made in China not Hay on Wye. Website is totally deceptive. Will be reporting to trading standards
