Irene took such great care of my needs during the process of finding a match. My list of requirements was long and I needed some coaching help for sure. The programs work if you are willing to be patient and not be too busy to date a few people until you find the perfect one like I did.

Very disappointed with this company not what I expected at all. I’ve had two dates in one year one drove a pick up truck and the other said he had a business but he was in business for a month…. Every time I reach out to them to find out why I’m not getting any matches they say they are taking their time and trying to find me the right one. For the money that I paid I would’ve expected a little bit different service. Oh, and I’ve had three Matchmaker in one year so there must be some turnover. would not recommend.

Going to give an honest review and the truth about this company: sure their service starts at 7k and goes up. They offer one free match in exchange for the review.

Moving to a match: they were blowing up my phone to say they found a match. Was so disappointed: my match not only could barely meet ends financially. Was older gentleman that lives with his mother. Didn't even care to plan a date but was expecting for me to take care of that part.

Come on matchmakers: if you trying to set me up with someone who's older 15+ years at least find someone who's successful and not me who will end up taking care of him.

I would say I'm definitely disappointed in this as this experience was supposed to be opposite of that!

Now they are replying with lies. Ask your sales person what they have offered.

I knew what I was looking for, and
I was tired of meeting men that were not equally equally yoked with my beliefs and qualities. So, I decided to invest in myself and higher matchmakers. I was truly happy with the result.

I believe that the support and communication is so helpful. Irene is available when I have questions The matches are good but his last match has been perfect this far.

Working with Jake at the Matchmaking Company was an excellent experience. He took the time to really understand what I was looking for and made the entire process feel supportive and intentional. Jake is approachable, honest, and clearly passionate about what he does. I felt listened to and respected every step of the way, which made a big difference. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a more personalized matchmaking experience.

I feel that in the initial interview the company was misrepresented. The interviewer was definitely a salesperson and not accurately representing the availability of matches.Sorely disappointed.
In the initial interview I can see now that it was a big sales pitch and things were misrepresented. My "coach" Rachel was snitty at best. She felt it was unreasonable to expect contact weekly, even if was just a text to say they're still working on things. After a few weeks I received an email asking for my input on the process so far. I was honest. My coach Rachel was the one who responded to the input..... (inappropriate) and I found her to be defensive and aggressive instead of trying to resolve what was wrong. I felt like a child being scolded.
She is not currently available ............... what ever that means....
I have no "coach" assigned at this time and the most recent person to call sounded like it was a bother to even talk to me. I truly hope the calls are recorded so someone can actually hear the conversation.
I would never recommend this company. I wish I had read the comments before I committed to thousands of dollars.
Very expensive lesson learned.

I would not recommend using this company. One of the most expensive mistakes I have made. They rope you in with a sales contract, and then don't follow their own pitch. Here is my story.
In Feb. of 2024, I signed up with this company. I was promised per the contract “a team of professional matchmakers, with the utmost experience to provide me with a personalized and supportive experience BASED ON MY INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND PREFERENCES” (New Client Handbook) I was told that my matchmaker would call to introduce themselves, a background screening would be conducted through a licensed private investigator and then reviewed by their Administrative team. That they would review the results of my key life values test and look at my profile in detail. Based on that….they would begin looking for my match. .” This is all from the ( New Client Handbook) None of this happened.
I had no less than 6 matchmakers.
My first was Lori Miller
March 2024: My first match: XXX---This was the first failure in the background check. He was the proud owner of 3 DWI's. 1 away from going to jail.
My 2nd matchmaker was Janel. 2 months later, I got my 2nd match...XXX
who never responded or called even though he accepted the match. My matchmakers response?? “Well, did you try to call him?” uh, no. that’s not how this old school girl works.
My next match….XXXXX…Didn’t work out…after 3 dates…he wasn’t ready for a relationship. Must have skipped that screening question!
Janelle tried to send me on another match a few days later, but obviously was not paying attention to my "personal needs and preferences", he was a smoker. She said, "But he is trying to quit!"
My 3rd Matchmaker quit the company before making me a match.
I did not hear from anyone for 3 months.
I was told that management would be handling me from then on,as what had occurred with me had never happened before. Enter Larry. He never reached out. I had to call him twice.
So my 4th Matchmaker Larry Owens. In late August, Larry matches me with XXXX, Went on one date, not a fit. Again, no where close to my "personal preferences".
Larry then matched me with Mike. This one is a blatant example of how you can not trust their background checks. My personal safety was utterly disregarded on this one.
Mike: This man had restraining orders against him. Domestic violence and adult stalking. He was fired from the St. Louis county police force for stealing company time and forced to resign. I have the link to the article.
A restraining order was issued on him in August of 2024 for Domestic Violence and Adult Stalking. A case that had been ongoing for a year. All of this easily looked up via MoCasenet.gov. This is clearly a deficit in the company's background checking, as this man fell through the cracks and my safety was compromised. The Matchmaking Company needs to change how they do background checks You can't miss theft, DV, and Adult stalking when you are setting up females with strange men. DV and Stalking charges do not show up as criminal charges...they are restraining orders and orders of protection, But women deserve to know this is an issue with a match made. I spoke at length with Larry Owens about this, He blew me off. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY. They want their money.
After Mike at the end of October, I didn’t hear from any matchmaker through the holidays. In January of 2025, I put my account on hold for 5 months.(I found someone with another dating service) When I returned, Had to call Larry twice, then had to call the main line and speak with whomever would answer the phone. I was given my 5th matchmaker, Shannon H.
Rude…abrasive…aggressive.. from the start.
She matched me first with XXXX. I had listed in my preferences that I did not want to date anyone with children still at home, and the age range for me was 49-60. XXXX had an adult daughter with mental disabilities still living at home, and he was 69 years old. WTH? When I addressed it with her, she said she was gone that week, out sick, and that the computer must have sent out the match. Later, she recanted, and said it was a coworker that was covering for her while she was out. The matchmakers are doing NOTHING. They let the computer do the work, and they make a few phone calls. This is not at all what was sold to me at the initial meeting, nor what is stated in the new client handbook. A couple of weeks later, she matched me with XXXX. He had 4 Children with youngest being 12!!
After that, I got My 6th matchmaker, Sasha Obregon. One guy was a huge pot smoker that was undisclosed to me. Another she tried to match was also a smoker. One just wasn't a good fit. 1 year and 11 months. 5 out of my 8 purchased matches never should have happened. You are better off and safer sticking to dating sites. This place will just take your money. You DON'T get what you signed up for. Thanks for reading. Be Careful!!

I have found someone that I can talk to and who can talk to me. After 52 years of marriage, I didn't think it was possible but Match Maker showed me it was. I thought I was lost, but now I'm found, I once again have a purpose in life

Jacob 100 % made the difference!!!! I worked with one of his co workers and they didn't listen to what I was saying and just set me up with anyone they could. Jacob listened to me and picked the most perfect person for me to hopefully spend the rest of my life with and truly believe she feels the same. Thanks Jake !!

I feel like Irene has really been look for someone for ME. She has asked more questions after every date and the follow up paperwork. I really feel like she was doing her best to get to know me to be able to find the best fit. So glad she is my matchmaker

Irene was very thorough in her analysis and background work regarding potential dates. She is very good to work with and was an excellent coach as the process unfolded.

Having a personal assistant that actually listens to me. Every time I go on a new date it’s getting closer to the one .
Having honest conversations about the dates and why they went wrong being able to talk to her about explicit details that are important like character and personality

12-17-25 - In response to the Matchmaking Co comment below: There's definitely a lack of communication and I must express my dissatisfaction with the matches I've received thus far. They have not aligned with the detailed preferences I provided in my extensive questionnaire. I was clear about my non-negotiables:
• Personal hygiene (esp. healthy teeth)
• An active lifestyle
• Core values
• A minimum height of 5'10"
While I do have other preferences, these are some of my top ones. In the introductions I've received—around 6 or so—I met 3 individuals, none of whom met my core criteria. One had a missing front tooth, another had crooked and yellowed teeth, and the third was 5'7" and shared that he had not been active since his divorce two years prior, with a very early work schedule that left him in bed by 7pm.
Additionally, the other matches did not align with my preferences. Some proactively shared their criteria before even meeting, stating they didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. For instance, one person outlined a strict list of requirements, including no pets, no kids at home, no tattoos, no plastic surgery, and a preference for a conservative Christian partner. As I have both a kid and a pet and not religious, I was disqualified. Another person sent me a picture and, unfortunately, his appearance did not align with what I am looking for as he was very overweight and not active. Last one said he was a caregiver with limited time to spend outside of his home and wanted to make sure that wouldn't be an issue should we start dating.
Given all of this, I am extremely disappointed by your assertion that my matches align with my preferences. Had the matchmakers taken the time to know this about those individuals or I known these details in advance, I would not have agreed to meet or connect with any of them. It feels as though the matchmakers, of which I’ve been assigned to 6 or 7, have not taken the time to truly understand their clients' ideal match. In fact, only one matchmaker took the initiative to have a conversation with me to better understand my preferences, but she was removed a few weeks later and that was approximately 6 months ago.
A new matchmaker reached out 2 days ago and sent me a new match—someone who is 5'6", which is clearly not in line with my stated preferences. This only further reflects a lack of attention to detail and my specific criteria.
I stand by my original review, as I feel this service has not delivered on the expectations set forth when I signed up. It has, unfortunately, proven to be both completely ineffective and utterly disappointing.

Review left on 12-15-25 - I paid several thousand dollars for this matchmaking service based on repeated promises that they had hundreds of qualified matches and that introductions would begin within 2–3 months on October 2023. Nearly two years later, that has simply not happened.

Despite the upfront assurances, I have not been set up with any decent or genuinely compatible matches. The 3 matches I've been set up with were not even close to the detailed info I provided for the type of match I am looking for. Communication has been sporadic and largely consists of excuses or vague reassurances rather than results. The service delivered has been nowhere near what was advertised or contractually implied.

For a premium-priced service, I expected proactive matchmaking, transparency, and accountability. Instead, I’ve experienced long delays, unmet promises, and a complete lack of follow-through. This paid service is worse than the free ones. At least with the free ones, I get to see who I'm meeting up with which this company advices you against sharing photos and I've learned it's because they don't take the time to learn what your likes and dislikes are, they just match you with whoever is complaining about not being matched.

If you are considering this company, be very cautious. The marketing and sales pitch sound great, but my experience suggests the actual service does not live up to the claims—especially given the cost.

They are very professional and helpful to you in finding the right person.

This company is not what they purport to be. The Yelp reviews are spot on. I have had 3 introductions in almost 1 year, two were completely people I would never associate with. $7000 down the drain! It's very disheartening and really unbelievable they can continue to be in business.

The most useless and unprofessional service I have ever come across. I have had better dates other apps like Bumble for 10th of the price. They don't seem to have lot of people in their system to match . I have been with them for one year and giving this review second time. When I gave it first time they asked to remove saying they will try to do better. But they hav e not so I am giving my honest and full experience.

This is a lame excuse. I left a VM more than 10 days ago and there was no response. After carefully waiting , I have given this review.
