Worst Experience and unfair treatment
This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a financial service in the UK. They advertise “Apply for a free account in minutes. No set-up fees, no monthly charges.” My application was stuck for nearly a week with no updates at all. Only after I spent hours trying to contact them did they respond, and they immediately declined me.
They requested a selfie and my passport, which I provided without any issue. Even so, the moment I followed up, they rejected my application. I own three companies with employees in the UK and abroad, so there is no logical reason for the refusal. It feels very much like discrimination based on nationality, even though my passport is from a perfectly legitimate country with no sanctions or legal problems.
They clearly underestimate how seriously I take this. I will be filing a DSAR through the Financial Conduct Authority and submitting a formal complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.
I cannot recommend them at all. Do not waste your time on long waiting periods, poor communication, and a complete lack of transparency. My experience has been nothing but disappointment and unfair treatment.
