Wrong drop-off location and terrible follow-up
I really wanted to leave a 5-star review because everything leading up to the trip was great, but a massive failure in their internal communication ruined what was supposed to be a perfectly planned bachelorette party for my wife's sister.
The Good:
The initial booking process, payment, and boarding were seamless. Up until the day of the event, their team was super responsive to emails and very helpful.
The Bad:
I booked a 4 PM to 8 PM slot and specifically arranged for the drop-off to be at the Old Port in Montreal. They had a separate limo service waiting there at 8 PM to take the group to their restaurant reservation.
Instead of arriving at the Old Port at 8 PM, the captain brought them back to the original boarding location at MG Marine in Pointe-aux-Trembles. The captain had absolutely no idea they were supposed to be dropped off at the Old Port. When I called customer service, their excuse was "miscommunication" because they "receive over 20 bookings a day." That is completely unacceptable for a professional service.
The Ugly:
Because of this mistake, the group finally arrived at the Old Port around 8:40 PM. This caused a terrible domino effect: their restaurant reservation was messed up, and the limo company charged us a $400 late penalty fee.
When I spoke to customer service that night, they apologized and said they would partly cover the $400 penalty fee. But after the trip? Complete silence. I followed up by email over the next few days and was completely ignored. I finally had to call them 5 times in a row just to get someone to pick up the phone. I know calling 5 times might seem annoying, but if you value your customers and make a financial commitment to fix your own mistake, you need to communicate.
