Shocking—avoid, avoid, avoid!

I ordered a lovely made-to-order carpet in 2025. It took three months to arrive, and I paid in full upfront. When the fitters came, they discovered that someone at the warehouse had cut it incorrectly, so it didn’t fit. To make matters worse, it then turned out that the original measurements had also been taken incorrectly. An entirely new carpet had to be ordered.

The fitters (Dave and Richard) were excellent—they even templated the stair runner at the time to save time when the replacement carpet arrived. Another three months passed, and I received a call to say it was ready for fitting. I asked whether the stair runner had been sent off for whipping, as arranged, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. I was promised a callback, which, unsurprisingly, never came.

Eventually, I was told everything was ready, and in April 2026, the carpet was finally fitted—except there was yet another problem: a piece was missing. Once again, the fitter was fantastic, clearly embarrassed, and very apologetic.

I contacted M&Q to explain that I was unhappy and would not be paying the remaining £90 fitting balance. I then received a call from Amy, the “store manager,” whose confrontational manner was completely unacceptable. She informed me that unless I paid immediately, the missing piece would not be fitted, and that I apparently owed over £1,000!

After I suggested she check her facts before calling customers and making such accusations, she looked into it and—surprise, surprise—I owed nothing at all. The invoice had simply not been marked as paid.

I am genuinely amazed this company is still in business. The level of incompetence, poor communication, and lack of customer service is astonishing. Full credit to the fitters—they were professional throughout—but honestly, save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.

Overall a positive experience, exactly what we ordered at a competitive price. Good transaction communication. Delivered on time, nice friendly delivery driver. We will use again. Thank you.

We had our staircase and landing carpet fitted today by two of the M&Q fitters, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the service has been excellent. Carl came out to measure up and brought a great selection of samples, helping us choose the perfect design. His advice on underlay and how to achieve a staircase runner was invaluable.

Everything has been carried out to a high standard, and we genuinely can’t fault a thing. We’re also currently having herringbone flooring fitted in the hall through to the front living room, and we’re equally impressed with both the quality and the value.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Morgan & Quinn to our friends and family. Thank you again to Carl and to Ben (and the second fitter sorry didn't catch your name) for fitting today!

I Found this Company online.
We had already bought the same flooring previously from another retailer, but they were more expensive.
I messaged Morgan &Quinn , as I had a query about sizes; and the office staff ( Mel) got back to me within minutes.
I then ordered herringbone flooring for our new kitchen extension.
It looks beautiful, so many family and friends have commented.
We are definitely ordering more of the same , as we have two bedrooms to fit.

Before ordering the carpet I needed, I first ordered some samples, and not just once, but twice. Then I placed my order, the price was reasonable. When I needed to change the delivery date, Mel did all that needed to be done, she was so helpful, friendly, and efficient! Finally the delivery came on time, the packing was well done, and the carpet is of good quality. Services very appreciated, product quality very satisfied.

Fantastic. We found a carpet at a local shop but it would have cost us over £1,000 for the size we needed. Found it here for half the price. Carpet is exactly what we wanted. Great quality. Great price. Great delivery. Will 100% use them again.

Very helpful people and excellent pricing. Ordered special carpet product which was much better value here than anywhere else. Was then supported by helpful customer service. The only thing I would say - none of the emails come with any meaningful headings and subjects, I always had to think what I was getting and who from - when invoices and emails and web links have names that don’t relate to product - it’s incredibly difficult to identify what is what and especially search for it. Not easy for busy people with large projects and very many emails.
Otherwise I would buy again.

Very easy Web site to use, and place order. The Web site also informs you of delivery days to your postcode. The delivery company drivers are very good and friendly.

Prior to ordering from Morgan and Quinn, I contacted customer service as I had a few queries. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful.

The carpet itself was really good quality and an excellent price. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and it will be the first place I go next time I need carpet.

Got what I wanted - on time.

Ordered a very expensive carpet and was not disappointed! It was £20 sq metre cheaper from here than at other carpet places and the staff were super helpful with info when you call them for anything! It was also delivered with care. The carpet is 5* and I’ll definitely be back for the next room I’m doing soon! If your think of buying from this company definitely go for it… you won’t be disappointed! 👍
