We went on a Newmarket coach tour holiday the Elvis Presley Memphis tour we’d never done a coach before, what can I say what a fantastic experience we went to Birmingham Alabama, New Orleans, Memphis & Nashville our tour guide Julie was fantastic & very knowledgeable & nothing was to much trouble, Mike are coach driving was fantastic to he helped make the holiday to we will certainly be doing other tours

Splendours of the Fall - New York to Toronto October 2-15 2026. Absolutely wonderful tour made so special by Chris our driver and the best ever tour guide Darren whose knowledge, humour, advice were exemplary .

I wanted to change my booking for a trip to India next year from solo to accompanied status and the details were efficiently and speedily determined by Tee who effected the change over the phone and quickly confirmed by email. I was delighted with the way I was dealt with.

Recently returned from the Fall colours of New England and Canada tour and it was truly amazing, made all the better by our fantastic tour guide Darren and driver Chris. Loved how Darren knew spots to stop for coffee/toilet breaks that also turned into photo opportunities. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and Newmarket. Will definitely be looking at their other tours for the future.

Alan and I were definitely somewhat 'out of our comfort zone' as we flew out to Delhi, but our apprehension proved totally unnecessary as we settled in quickly to what proved to be an AMAZING tour which took us to so many stunning and fascinating places - I think our Top Three were probably Amritsar's magnificent Golden Temple, Ranthambore's majestic tigers and, of course, the Jewel in the Crown, the wonderful Taj Mahal!
The tour gave us chance to appreciate and learn so much about the culture, history and beauty that is India. We were helped in this by our wonderful guide, Y.P. Singh who was incredibly well organised, so knowledgeable and both enthusiastic and entertaining about the country which he loves and about which he is clearly so proud. He was very ably assisted by our 'pilot and co-pilot', Abhay and Mintu and they made a great team who looked after us all so well.
We were fortunate to share our Odyssey with 32 other lovely, like-minded people and shared awe-inspiring sights, some hair-raising moments on India's roads and LOTS of laughter.
Altogether an unforgettable two weeks!

Maria
Our guide Maria was great and real helped make the holiday. She a great knowledge of the area and was great at suggesting places to see and ironing out any problems. Of her own back she gave us suggestions and organising transport for outings that were not included in the official tour.
Hotel
Nice Hotel, rooms clean and well kept, food generally good, good pool and nice gardens. Staff for the most part were very helpful and pleasant.
Down side rather remote and no shuttle bus available (although its existence was clearly stated in brochure). This meant that if you wanted to travel any where outside the organised tours you were dependant on taxis. Which are not in abundance.
Hotel clearly did not have enough staff. This was very apparent on nights when there was function on as there was no one to man the bar and guests had either to go and look for someone or wait a very long time.
The tour group would have struggled with finding space outside the dining room to sit and mingle in the evening if it had not been good weather as most of the seating areas were outside.
In my opinion the hotel is more suited to functions than tour groups.
Other comments.
Hotel did have a gym but no were was this stated either in brochure or hotel website. Which is a shame as my friend would have made use of it had she known.

General comments
Tour content was very good and did allow you to see a lot of the area.
Generally, well organised.
The order in which the tour days were organised could have been better.
Our first day was a free day and with no knowledge of the area without Maria’s advice and help we would have struggled to find interesting things to do and see.
The last day was a very busy day and would have been much better if it had been before our free day or at least earlier in the holiday.
This would given people time to chill before travelling home and if people wanted to go sight seeing they would have a much clearer picture of places they might want to see.
In my opinion too much was crammed into the last day. Missing out one of the activities or including one of the activities in another day’s tour would have been preferable.
Further Comments
I appreciate that this was a new tour and we were only the second group to do it and so some the problems we experienced will be ironed out in time.
All in all, we did enjoy the tour.

I really enjoyed the Little Trains of the Douro trip in Northern Portugal. It was well organised with trips to the Douro Valley where the little trains followed the Douro, plus wine tasting. Unfortunately, the steam train was not available which was a disappointment to the hardcore railway enthusiasts. We visited numerous villages, churches and places of interest including Porto, with eating places along both sides of the Douro. The only downside was the location of our hotel which was located up a steep, cobbled hill which the coach could not access, so we had to drag our cases up to check in and every time we were dropped off after our trips. The upside is we had some fantastic guides. Our main guide, Tony Costa, looked after us all and made sure we were aware of where we were going and what time we had to be there. Tony was very understanding and caring and took care of one passenger who had to go to hospital and an elderly gentleman who had mobility issues. We also had a guide on our coach named Tiego who was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun when describing the places visited and had a good repartee with the passengers. Overall, it was a good trip with lots to see and do and a very busy schedule.

From booking this amazing holiday nearly 18 months ago with Grace, who helped us immensely with the booking to arriving at the airport and seeing Julie's smiling face with the Newmarket holidays sign. It was a fantastic holiday, only made that much better and memorable by Mike the driver, with his charm and quips and the wonderful Julie, who was so knowledgeable and caring, she made sure everyone was safe and having a brilliant time, which we certainly did. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary and Julie made that special too

Recently returned from an escorted trip to the Italian Dolomites, staying in the Ariston Hotel in Molveno. Friendly staff. As a picky eater i found the evening menu had enough choice, even for me and the food was delicious. Beautiful scenery throughout the trip. Additional tours available to an already busy itinerary. Tour guide, Mariangela and the Fabio bus drivers did a fantastic job. A well informed, scenic trip. Thank you all x

We have just come back from a 5 day visit of Jersey with Newmarket holidays with Val as our site representative.
If you want to see Jersey I can’t think of a better way or company to do it with.
We really got to see the island in the short period we’re there. Our hotel at the Merton excellent and viewed everything and given all the background details and history on everything leaving us the last day to ourselves and go back to see things in more detail we wanted.
No problem on transport on the island because the bus service on the island gets you to anywhere you need to go from Liberation square

This holiday was wonderful due to several reasons: the tour hosts, the group of people, the transport to get around and the route.
Y. P. Singh was a superb tour guide, a three in one person, organiser, educator and entertainer, there can be no other. He was ably supported by coach driver and assistant to provide a remarkably well run process for 34 people all of whom collectively helped to make this a memorable time and no doubt one of the best holidays that each of us has had.
The combination of rail travel, coach travel, car convoy and tuk tuk rides enhanced the experience of wonderful and iconic visits to palaces, temples, shrines, forts, markets, historical landmarks and safari park. The cities visited were a great insight into Indian history and culture.
On suggestions for improvement, only the seating on the air travel. Some of us were separated from our partners. For a block booking this could have been accommodated with a little effort from Newmarket.

2 October trip to Golden Triangle and Shimla. A fantastic varied trip with lots of different experiences, temples, mosques, markets, palaces, rickshaws, tuk-tuks Taj Mahal and tigers. Our guide Yatendra (YP Singh was so passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. How he organised us and our 17 white car convoy was amazing. Great coach pilot Abhay, a very good driver, ably assisted by co-pilot Mintu who kept us hydrated and offered new and exciting Indian sweets. Our car driver Amit was also superb. The sights, sounds and smells of incredible India will stay with me for a long time. Highly recommend it.

The tour guide Marieangela was an expert in her field and very knowledgeable. She looked after her clients extremely well.
The hotel was good and the food very good. The hotel staff were mostly helpful and attentive.

Harriet was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The booking process was very smooth
