The online meeting i had was excellent in the mediator listening and fully understanding my situation and that of me family. It's a great way of hopefully rebuilding bridges and communication after traumatic family period we have all been through.

Closure & certificate award with no explanation
From the pre-meeting the mediator decided that distress and mental health status was a reason why the mediation was considered “inappropriate at this time” but the case was just closed & certificate issued without any reference to the reason. The opposition who’d already held their pre-meeting was just able to exploit this to their own ends as evidence of an unwillingness to cooperate.
In the section on “any concerns or worries” the mediator repeatedly talked over me.

Absolutely lovely staff
Absolutely lovely staff! The mediator spent double the allocated time to listen and make an informed decision that mediation was unsuitable for our situation but if we could have proceeded I would have definitely wanted to continue with their services. The mediator had a thorough understanding of the topics and clearly wanted to help.
