Unhappy with sign up, rather than actual service

I'm affraid I didn't use the actual service, but I did set up an account. I got shoehorned into a free trial which would then lead to a paid account after the trial. I didn't want this, but didn't have a choice. I found it very very hard to close this account, or at least even just change it to the free account. For this reason, I didn't feel comfortable using the service and have stuck with my usual, free and transparent switching service.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Just to clarify, our free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. By default, accounts roll off the trial unless a customer actively chooses to continue, so there isn’t an automatic move onto a paid plan.

As mentioned in our previous reply, Nous accounts can only be created when someone signs up directly themselves. We don’t add people to the service or obtain contact details from third parties.

Brilliant experience would recommend

In times where people are struggling financially and trying to budget just to live Nous has been a huge help in getting my monthly outgoings down so I can have some spare cash each month helping me with yearly savings. Everything has been straight forward and helpful.

Wow!

Wow, what a company. From start to finish they have been nothing but helpful, they really go the extra mile and found me such a good saving on my Internet package. Would recommend to anyone who wants top customer service, the personal touch and good savings.

5 Stars!

They have been extremely good at finding cheaper deals for all my household bills. I have saved over £500 since joining them. They are so quick to respond, incredibly polite and overall their service is amazing!
I would recommend Nous to anyone.

Very much recommend

Nous have been excellent so far at reducing my bills. Mobile and energy bill reduced, which is definitely needed during the high costs these days! Very much recommend.

Extremely poor. Ended up costing me extra.

I didn’t save any money and yet I have received a request for a review stating you saved me over £900?
You actually cost me more.

The first thing was fixing me into a water contract. I saved nothing per month but you advised that this would remain at that price and variable was going to rise. This hasn’t happened. They have increased my monthly bill and I am caught in for another 8 months.

Second, you ‘switched’ my phone contract without switching it. You advised I could change so I agreed to a new contract with another company, only to find I was unable switch so I ended up paying two contracts before having to cancel the second one myself.

Worst of all, when I contacted to share this issue your advisor was rude and blamed me.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear this has been frustrating.

On the savings point, we only recommend or switch customers to deals that are expected to reduce costs compared to their current tariff at the time of switching. For energy contracts, savings come from lower unit rates rather than a guaranteed monthly bill, so the amount you pay can still vary depending on usage. If energy usage increases, the monthly cost can increase even if the underlying tariff is cheaper. We’d be very happy to walk through the comparison with you so you can see exactly how this was calculated.

Regarding the contract you mentioned, it sounds like this may refer to your energy tariff rather than a water contract, as water pricing typically works differently. If anything wasn’t clearly explained at the time, we’d genuinely like to review this.

On the mobile switch, we proceed with switches based on the information provided during sign-up. If it later becomes clear that a contract cannot be switched, if you are still in a contract for example, we do our best to resolve this and help cancel where needed, which is what happened in this case.

Finally, I’m very sorry to hear you felt an advisor was rude. That’s not the standard we expect from our team, and we will review this internally.
