Joe and Amy have been looking after us for about 3 years now. We put a toe in the water with a small investment with no ambitions or expectations to change from the FA who had looked after us for many years. We were impressed with the ease with which we could communicate with them and how the value of our pension and net worth generally is visible on a webpage. This is markedly different form the annual reports which we used to receive. So we jumped ship to Octopus (now Nova) and don't regret it. The clarity provided has given me the confidence to accelerate my retirement plans and I will be stopping work in 2026. Just this month we have just had a remortgage sourced by Olu and its been a very easy and productive experience.

After almost 2 years since our initial meeting with Joe Checkley we have no regrets signing up with Nova. They shortlisted the best products and then sourced multiple offers with the minimum effort from us, shepherding the chosen application through to completion on time, and answering my queries along the way. (This was a free service as a result of being a Nova client for other services)

Good balance of financial and behavioural advice. We’ve been with Dan for a bit over a year and have been happy with his overall support. In particular, two things standout:
1) Balance of financial and behavioural advice: Dan will normally provide the “purely financially correct” answer followed by what adjustments he’d make to have the recommendation fit our risk tolerance and emotional needs. Eg., if we want less equity exposure
2) Responsive adhoc advice: Dan has been very responsive when we’ve had adhoc questions outside the traditional annual review. Eg., when looking to buy a new home

We can’t recommend Lauren O’Loughlin highly enough. Her professionalism and financial knowledge are exceptional, and she always takes time to explain everything clearly and transparently with no jargon or pressure, just honest advice that is easy to understand.

Nova have been helping us with renewing some BTL mortgages recently, and Olu and Zoe have both been very helpful. I particularly like the fact that you can view the market in real time with them on a Teams call, rather than waiting for the broker to come back to you with their recommendations a few days later, as was the case with our prior broker. This helps give you the confidence you are getting the best product for your circumstances.

NOVA and particularly Simon Cahill have been clear, concise and have listened to my requirements, outlining the risks and potential gains of each strategy to educate me, so that I can make an informed decision, at every stage. Any questions I have are answered promptly and the platforms and tools are easy and clear to navigate and manage. This is a 5 star experience from my previous FA’s, I just wished I’d moved to NOVA sooner.
