My first experience was very 👍 good
No problems...cash being transferred

I called to transfer tax free savings, and the agent said he would transfer money and I don't have to do anything. Transaction did not go through..
Because agent was not trained on registered accts...he should have told me to fill out papers and send back to Oaken.
Agents were all very nice and helpful.
I will be transferring more funds soon.
All in all I think Oaken is a good company and will do more business with them

One of my RRSP have been missed place . It has been a Number of days that they have been trying to find it so I’m not too happy

This is a great company I would have given it 5 stars if it would have TFSA cash accounts.

I was looked after by an agent in a very professional manner and together with a very attractive interest rate for the GICs is what attracted me to Oaken Finacial.

I have been very pleased with my Oaken experience. All the reps have been very knowledgeable and easily guided me through the process f my investments.

Your Oaken representative, Mr. Epi Xiao was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He is an asset to you company. Recently I phoned your 1-800 number to discuss a few matters. My questions were answered promptly and
clearly.

I wanted to buy GICs once logged in my saving account and it was not clear on how to proceed from the options available to me. I had to send an email to Oaken and they told me that I had to proceed with opening a new account and selecting the option GIC. I have other saving accounts with virtual banks and it was more user friendly to buy GICs from my saving account.

At least they should explain the process in the Q&A section of the website

Why does Oaken NOT offer a simple TFSA savings account option at the same Quebec leading interest rate. Your current offering is ONLY for GIC's. As a senior with health problems I need to access right away MY MONEY if I have yet another sudden event.

The rates are good, it was a little hard to sign up, the phones are always busy, it was worth the time spent.

I would give it five stars but the lack of an RRSP savings account where you can park your money when GIC matures (like what EQ Bank has) would really elevate the experience.

I organized this GIC for my mother. The staff was friendly, patient and terrific with their help in assisting me with migrating funds from the paltry low-interest saving account my mother had at her regular bank over to Oaken (literally 4 x the interest). They also helped me migrate funds from another credit union to open an RRSP GIC at Oaken. Unlike the financial institution I was with, Oaken has an office here in Vancouver which made it much easier to get help in-person with these transactions.

The rates are above average. Money transfers worked well. Website is ok. GIC purchase is easy.
Statement numbering is a little confusing: the statement containing the January activity is called the February statement and so forth.
