Attended the Brisbane session recently
Attended the Brisbane session recently. We were shown video clips showing well known actors in big movies as well as "extras" in various tv commercials, and given statements about potential earnings. And then, " these are the fees, and for today only if you sign up you can get $100 off". That was the moment I started questioning whether this was genuine. Basically it appeared to be a rather unprofessional hardsell for them to make money by getting as many people to sign up. They were careful in the wording around there being a guarantee that you would actually get any work. Photos were taken using a mobile phone.

Signed up, paid for “professional headshots” which were taken on some guys phone. Now 4 months later there is still not a single thing I’ve gotten from it.

Background acting opportunities depend on the specific requirements of each production, including factors such as age, appearance, availability, and location. Selection decisions are made entirely by casting professionals and production companies, and no agency can guarantee that any individual will be selected within a particular timeframe.
We understand it can be frustrating when you have not yet been selected for a production; however, we continue to submit your profile for roles for which you meet the production requirements.

Received no opportunities after 18 months
My family joined this agency in August 2024 and paid a $200 sign-up fee after being told there would be regular opportunities available. It has now been over 18 months, and we have not received a single job through the agency. This experience has not matched what was communicated to us when we signed up, and it has been very disappointing. I would not recommend Oncue Talent to anyone based on our experience.

Casting for film, television and commercial productions is based on specific requirements set by casting directors, and opportunities cannot be guaranteed, as selections are made by production teams rather than agencies.
We can see that your profile has been included in a number of availability checks during your time with us, which indicates that it has been actively considered for roles, although not all availability checks progress to bookings.
At the time of joining, the fee related to professional casting photos, which are used as part of a casting profile for submissions to casting directors.
We provide guidance on how profiles should be presented for casting and encourage talent to keep their details up to date to maximise opportunities.

Signed up went to the information session never had anything back except for free jobs now I can’t work for free. If someone needs an income don’t rely on this. They never call you. They always bullshit. What they’re gonna say to you. Don’t waste your $200.

I’ve been with OnCue Talent for about 2 years now and just finished being a background extra on a feature film with Tom Hanks.
Was able to meet some incredible people as see behind the scenes of making a movie!
Definitely one of the luckier timings as I know many go without being booked for roles for a long time.
When there are roles to be offered, OnCue is fast and responsive in communicating the needs of production.
Standard Agency fees when compared to others agencies in NSW.
Hoping to continue to be booked for future roles!
To everyone wanting to join, make sure you’re able to support yourself first as the role is just something special on the side.

It's not free it's $295.
They advertise the info sessions as a free signup to the agency with no membership fees, but at the and of a pretty lengthy sales pitch it turns out you have to pay them $295 for photos and a profile. I have no idea how they are for actually getting you work, but you're likely to be competing with a lot of other people for roles if their business model is just fleecing as many through the door as they can.
