I visited the Hinckley store.
Very clean, bright, spacious, a lovely welcoming environment. Staff were very understanding and welcoming and really very helpful. No mess, clutter, just really friendly staff and expertise.
A special thank you to Libby ! Your suggestions were very welcome, your patience and expertise very impressive. Can’t wait to collect my new super cool glasses.

Awful company, please avoid and save your money. Nuneaton branch refused to refund 2 for 1 glasses after prescription wasn’t right. Alarmingly, they falsified information to avoid full refund. When trying to disprove them, they refused to provide my personal data records unless I paid an extra £50. Having lied to avoid a refund, they insisted on a re-test and concluded my eyes were too sensitive. New glasses were no better and only a fraction stronger than my old ones which begged the question ‘did I need a new prescription at all?’ Director Ravi Saigal was constantly unavailable and unhelpful in his emails. There were delay tactics, lost emails, promise of call backs that never happened from branch manager Bakchau. This continued for 12 months. Eventually received a disappointing 50% refund which I pursued myself as the Ombudsman were just as useless. AVOID!

I came into store today with a prescription from another optitions. I could not believe the service I received. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. They took time to listen to me and find the kind of glasses that I was looking for. The lady even got glasses out of the draws to show me, nothing was too much trouble at all. I will definitely be going here again.

Cashier Bakchau was very informative and explained every step of what glasses I needed and why. She helped me choose 2 pairs that suited me. Service was very efficient and friendly my first visit and I was made very welcome.

I had not been to a opticians for sometime but I did not need to worry. As soon as I walk in everyone was so helpful, the were very friendly and explained all the procedures when they were preforming them, and it did not take long for them to finish the examination. After that they were also very helpful with picking the right frames for me. Very happy customer.

Forever grateful to the Nuneaton store for looking after my mum so well, she said it was the best eye test she'd ever had and they made her feel so comfortable. The glasses were great and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. She's finally got varifocals she can see out of! We're bringing the whole family here now.

Went to the Nuneaton branch…by far the best opticians I’ve ever been to, won’t be going anywhere else. Eye test was very informative and my glasses are just brilliant.

Amazing independent opticians! ♥️ Extremely friendly and polite staff, who made the experience so smooth. I love that they offer unique frames, that you won’t find elsewhere! Got my glasses within half an hour also!

My husband visited his opticians (Optical Opticians in Nuneaton) after making an appointment this afternoon (appointment booked and confirmed) as he was having problems with his eyes.

He was asked to wait and then after 10 minutes approached and advised you're not due to be seen until May and if the optician does not find a problem with your eyes you will be charged!!

They made it sound like he was lying about his eye concerns even though he is diabetic and has glucoma and just wasting the opticians time and should wait till May. We take our eye care very seriously and any changes even more so.

My husband cancelled his appointment and we have taken our optical care somewhere else.

We are so upset and frustrated by the customer service received that we had to report it somewhere.

Fantastic experience at the Hinckley branch. Optician was lovely and explained everything perfectly. Danielle was very helpful in choosing my glasses. My glasses were ready the same day. Highly recommended.

30 day trial, mm does that start when the glasses arrive at the shop or when customer collects them??

No better than any other opticians in Nuneaton and I've tried them all over the years. The one good thing was the 20% off if your over 60, but i didn't have the eye test there so perhaps I'm being a little unfair with the rating.

I can't speak highly enough of Optical People Hinckley. I've worn contact lenses for over 20 years, and never have I been to an opticians who have first and foremost, given such friendly and welcoming customer service, but also gone so above and beyond with a thorough service which seeks to empower you with knowledge. I've learned more about my eyesight, eye care and percription in my two visits to Optical People Hinckley than in the whole rest of my contact lens wearing life. After a few very disappointing experiences with a well know opticians a little further down the High Street, I will now never go anywhere other than to Optical People and would highly recommend them to anybody. I was seen, both visits, by Mr Mistry who is friendly, informative, personable and professional. The lady who booked my appointment over the phone and also greeted me upon my arrival, who's name I annoyingly didn't catch, is absolutely lovely! A ray of sunshine who couldn't do enough to help me.

Awful company to deal with, I had an eye test and after I collected my glasses I couldn’t see, I asked for a refund and they refused, stating that I had to have a re-test, eventually I did and they said the prescription was correct, they cut new lenses but they did not improve. They are still refusing to refund me despite the fact that I don’t even have the glasses. It’s been 10 months now and they are ignoring all my emails.

Wow! What a store! Great choice and the best staff EVER!! The most informed eye test I have ever had with the best help in choosing my eyewear. After normally not ever liking the testing process at the opticians this team put me at ease with their natural manner and excellent customer service skills. I want to make eyewear shopping a weekly experience!! Thank you Danielle and team Hinckley.

I went for my eye test at Hinckley's Optical People. I was so amazed how friendly and amazing the staff were and to actually feel that I had a proper eyetest proformed by an amazing team. Came out on such a high to how I was treated no matter how much I spent on my glasses. I will definitely not be going back to my previous opticians which I had an awful experience. You are all outstanding.😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic service from the Nuneaton branch. The whole team were extremely friendly. I was in urgent need of new glasses. ( my lenses were out of stock) The lady who dealt with me, couldn’t have been more helpful.She phoned around to get them in for me the next day. I was so pleased. Fantastic service!
