A shame

Had great experience with Outlery in the past, I've supported and followed them since their Kickstarter campaign and recently learned it was acquired by a company named razor and it seems this company is a scam. Placed an order 3 months ago still has not shipped. Goes to show how big corporations destroy startups.

Disappointed and frustrated

I ordered a full cutlery set with a silicone pouch (order #OT29044) on the 8th of August and so far I have only received confirmation of my purchase. I am getting really frustrated, I have contacted them multiple times via email and fb messages and no reply.

Total scam!

Ordered at beginning of August, items were never shipped. No reply to my inquiry. Thankfully I payed via paypal, they refunded me the money. Else I'm sure I would have never seen it again. Stay away!!!

Non existing customer support

So I made an order 3/9-22 and according to the website, your website, i should expect 1-5 days delivery. I still havent received anything, no updates on delivery and no answer on my emails. 14/9 i recieved a refund for part of my order, but still 0 information about the rest of my order or even why half my order got refunded.

Terrible customer support/shipping

I bought a full set in the 1.August and I haven't gotten anything regarding shipping. I have tried to contact support multiple times but I never got an answer. I have tried everything to try to get in contact with support but I never got any kind of answer.

To be honest I feel scammed, because they look like they don't care about the customers. It's sad because I was looking into having the set and using it daily. I will update the review if something new happens.

AVOID

AVOID! I ordered some items in June, the order confirmation email stated they would be despatched in a few days, but then nothing. I have emailed and used the 'contact us' section of the website but no explanation, no apology, no refund. No response at all. This company is dodgy, there are multiple reports of this happening here and elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.

Dear Outlery Family,

The pandemic has been a testing time for all small businesses like Outlery. Back in May 2021, we were approached by an EU company Factory14 with an acquisition proposal. As a small company facing supply chain and cash flow issues, we decided to go in with the condition to stay on and manage the company. However, since Dec 21, F14 has been managing and running all aspects of Outlery.

As the founding team of Outlery that all of you have supported all this time, we want to thank you for your support. Right from our Kickstarter back in 2019, your faith in us has brought us to where we are today and we can’t thank you enough.

With this email, we want to officially announce that the founding team of Outlery is signing off. Since Dec 21, we are not in control of running the brand in any form and have nothing to do with the operations or direction the brand takes. As a small crowdfunded business with a promise of transparency, we feel our small Outlery Family should be aware of this development.

Thanks again for supporting us and our idea and we hope F14 takes the brand to new heights.

We will soon knock on your doors with new interesting products that we are sure you’ll all love.

No products received for which I have already paid

SCAM BUSINESS!!
Ordered product on 01/08/2022. Today is 31/08/2022. No info, not received any product for which I have already paid for, no response on mails asking for an update on the status of my order. Not through the contactform on their site, not via their direct mail account. I am taking legal actions against this company. Please contact me if you would like to join me.

Intransparent, dissapointing, just bad costumer service

Worst costumer experience ever. My coworker recommended outlery to me, so since he already had a kit, I put some trust into the company.

Ordered my kit 5 weeks ago, and it was never shipped. I wrote 3 Emails and never got a reply. It seems they only reply to the bad reviews here… I‘m really disappointed.
Obviously, I completely understand material shortages, BUT you have to inform your costumers!

It should be on their website, BEFORE you order, so you can decide for yourself, if you are fine with waiting or not. Furthermore, I never got a general email, talking about the supply problems. They should go out to EVERY costumer.
So, they are intransparent and just downright disappointing.
I would like a refund, but they don‘t even reply to any emails.

huge fan, but rainbow fork is a tragedy

I am a huge fan of outlery. My set works perfectly fine. I take it everywhere und use it frequently. I am so excited about this product that I gifted it to my whole family (parents, sister, cousins, partner) and they all love it.

...BUT the set I ordered for my partner (rainbow) arrived with a broken fork-head. It didn't have any grip, it was too loose, didn't work with the handle. I emailed customer service and they agreed to send us a replacement. We waited for quiet a while but eventually the new fork-head arrived. It worked for a couple of weeks but grew too loose again. I don't understand how this works but I sure know that it's not a sign for good quality. We only had this issue withthe rainbow fork. My golden and all the other sets I ordered are fine.

0 customer service. Ordered 3 sets with accessories in November. Order was shipped month later after writing them. Upon arrival half of the accessories ordered were missing. Outlery service desk told us they would be sent out after they are restocked. Items got restocked in april 2022. No one contacted us so we contacted outlery. No response. Will start refund process.
UPDATE: after writing to help(at)outlery.com I finally got my accessories shipped to me. This whole thing started in November 2021 and ended 08.06.2022. Overall very happy with tge product in general. FYI for any future purchasers they seem to now have a shipping point in Poland because my package was sent out from Poland. Overall I hope Outlery will get it together because the product is good but the combination of shipping and having product in stock was severly lacking in the past. Thank you Outlery for sorting this out as a reward I please have a 5 star review.

Poor service. Cancelled my order.

I bought two sets when Outlery did their Kickstarter campaign and even then there were problems with my order. However, I was patient and in the end they sent it to me after waiting a long time. Now I bought two more sets to give away, but after waiting to receive the tracking number nearly a month (in the shipping police page they say that they make the shipment three days after order), and exchange some mails, all they told me is that they would send the parcel "as soon as possible", without specifying a date. I asked for a refund that, at least, they did promptly. They need to improve the communication with clients, explaining clearly if they cannot meet the delivery deadline before buying.

Scummy company, terrible product.. AVOID

This company is good at one thing and that’s marketing / branding.

The product is terrible and close to unusable. The design connects all three parts of the cutlery together with threads that easily unscrew when you try to eat.

I try to get a refund and they would not allow it.

Terrible avoid.

Shoddy finish, lousy customer service

I was given a lovely blue set as a Christmas gift and was very impressed with the excellent design, fit and machining. However, after one use and one wash in the dishwasher at low temp the finish on my spoon has completely gone, leaving it dark grey. I contacted Outlery via their contact page weeks ago but have so far been ignored. Very unhappy that my friend wasted their money on poor quality and that customer service is non existent.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!

Important: Please read the update at the end of this review.
I am only sorry I can’t leave less than one star for this car crash of an outfit when it comes to customer service. The saddest thing of all is that the products are actually very good but their shipping is appalling and I am still waiting for a refund on an item that they failed to deliver in time for Christmas that was ordered in the first week of November. Avoid like the plague if you know what’s good for you!

Update: I have been contacted by Outlery’s customer service department and they offered a sincere apology along with an explanation as to why my order had originally been delayed. I also received a full refund and a complimentary set through the post. I have stated all along that the products are excellent and are way ahead of the competition in terms of style and quality, so if they can keep up this standard of customer service, they have a winning formula all round!

Waited 5 weeks on empty promises

I ordered 2 full sets in the week prior to Hallowe’en during one of the offers.

I waited 5 weeks, with a couple emails back and forth asking for updates. I was informed that they had run out of stock, but I was assured that my order would ship in a couple of days, multiple times; I still never saw any despatch notifications.

I then asked that whatever they could ship be shipped, and anything that was out of stock be fulfilled at a later point when it became available, this was ignored.

I have had to ask for a refund twice, which at the time of writing has not been processed.
